Oh, Daiso.  You are so awesome to the max xtreme.

Just about anything you could want is here.  Food, kitchen/cooking supplies, pet supplies, stationary, etc, etc, etc.

Daiso is one of those places with great items for CHEAP, so you usually end up with a bunch of stuff once you end up at the register.  Do I need 15 kinds of rice crackers, fantastically bad engrish printed on t-shirts, sake cups, and chibi-monkey stationary?  No.  But will I buy it for their prices? HELLS yes.

My one Daiso regret is not buying the strawberry-shaped doggie bed they had a year or so ago.  Epitome of wtf cuteness.

Cheap, adorable, and Japanese.  All good things.

So there I was searching for a Santa suit for a party when a friend of mine suggested Daiso.  I've never heard of this place before but they did have what I was looking for and believe it or not, it was only 5 bucks.  So what if the material was crap and probably won't even last the night because I just needed it for one night and I wasn't really trying to win any contests.

So after picking up a 5 dollar santa costume, I walked around the store and checked out the random Japanese stuff.  There are things like household items and little knick knacks here and there, but everything was so damn cheap.  I mean the majority of merchandise were under 5 bucks and there is a really a lot of things here that it would take literally hours to walk around checking everything out.  If you like snacks, there are at least 5 isles of goodies like rice crackers or nuts.  If you got a dog or cat, they have a section dedicated for just pets and the list goes on and on..

I think I might even come back real soon and buy some xmas gifts (hey it's a recession bitch!) because there is something for everyone here.  Perfect spot to shop for gifts for your co-workers..

Random Japanese items for dirt cheap!  I'm talking even cheaper than Walmart.  There are so many odds and ends at Daiso, you could probably spend hours just browsing the store.  Here's the kicker: most items are $1.00 or $1.50!  Only a small proportion of items cost more than that.

Yes, a lot of things are plastic and somewhat cheap-looking, but there are also a ton of decent-quality items, like nice Japanese-style kitchenware and solid, stylish ceramic(ish) bowls/cups/etc.  Just check it out!

They even have cosmetics (placenta shampoo, anyone?), school/office supplies (awesome!), and Japanese snacks/candy (who knows how long the edible stuff has been sitting around on the shelves collecting dust? kind of sketchy)

As previous Yelpers have mentioned, Daiso has a no returns, no exchanges policy.

I've gone to all the Daiso stores within the South Bay area and this one by far is the best of the best! It's located in a shopping plaza where there's unlimited parking (unless it's the holidays) so that's never a worry. The place is clean and well organized and probably one of the largest of them all. They have lots of fun gifts for people from kitchen, personal care, stationary, tea sets, drinks & food, and more. I like to come in here every so often to pick up some extra pieces of gifts for any upcoming Birthday gifts. If your friend loves novelty food items this is the perfect place to obtain them. They also carry my all time favorite drink... lemon water! I never thought I would find this drink here in America and wa-la! Here it is... =]

Omgosh I thought I was crazy but I was not! I found Daiso in Richmond, BC of all places and someone told me there was one here in the bay ... 'somewhere' ... I didn't really think about this too much and kind of went about my day.

Two days ago I was looking for a Target / Wal-mart in Mountain View and LO AND BEHOLD there it was ... of course I had to stop by if only for comparison purposes to the ginormous one in the Aberdeen center. This one is definitely quite a bit smaller and for some reason it *is* more expensive than the Canada version but otherwise sells pretty similar stuff like random kitchen wares and server wares as well as storage components and other Japanese culture trinklets. I am so excited to have found the equivalent since now I don't need to go exchange my USD for CAD to buy things!

Daiso, I love your stuff. I don't love that you don't use AC in the summer, and no heat during winter.

Maybe eventually your dwindling sales will make you rethink your "cost savings strategy".

Folks, bundle up nice and warm, since the store is maybe 2 degrees warmer than the outdoors if you're lucky. Or maybe they finally put the heat on now that it's frosty outside. Hopefully.

Also be prepared to have tons of Trader Joes shoppers that take up all the parking spots, and run across the parking lot when you actually see a spot,  preventing you from getting it.

There are also NO EXCHANGES OR RETURNS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. So don't be shy about inspecting things or opening some if you need to. Most wrappers are opened at the bottom, and are adhesive.

People will say "so what it's a dollar fifty"...but guess what, this is NOT a dollar store. Items add up here, and not all items are $1.50. Many are $3, onward to $18.

The other issue with Daiso is that NOTHING is UNDER $1.50. That is a large price to pay, say, for one tiny charm or bead. Yes, they sell little plastic letters for crafts, and other such tiny items, and guess what, they are ALL $1.50.....a colorful wooden pencil? $1.50. A tiny sticker? $1.50. You get my point. The cost adds up.

Also if you ever see something you want - get as many as you think you need of it in the future...many things just don't get reordered.

To the person who complained about the quality - I have never had a single thing break from Daiso. I have the metal magnetic organizers, over the door hooks, curtain rods, many utensils, pencils, etc....socks...toys....basically I've bought nearly one of everything at Daiso. The ONLY thing that ever broke was a stupid pen with a light. One of them worked, the other flickered. I really doubt it has anything to do with "quality"...pretty sure if I bought it at Walgreens it would do th same thing. After all, check out where all the stuff you buy at Kohls and the mall are made...*China* LOL....

The closest thing to a 100 Yen shop here.  I'll go in there with the intention of getting one or two items and come out with ten.  Lots of surprisingly useful things... that you don't know you need 'til you see them :3

This store is super cute! Has a bunch of random little trinkets from Japan for (sometimes) a decent price.

Strangely, I can never find anything there! It's one of those "Closet full of clothes but nothing to wear" situations. However, it's worth a trip to check it out.

Did you know that for $1.50 you could get any one of the following: ice trays, a pouch of candy, a cute wine glass, sparkle-y stickers perfect to adding gifts or cards, a car air freshener, a beautiful tea cup, a drawer organizer, a toilet brush/holder, a weird looking basket, a pair of socks with bunnies all over, and gel decorations for a glass window?

They have other bigger ticket items as well: adorable pet beds, elegant tea sets, plenty of glass and ceramic ware for the kitch/dining room. Aprons, wallets, purses, car visors... you get the idea.

This place has a boggling collection of fun, silly, funky, pretty, useful, or just odd stuff. Some items are a great deal, others are reasonably priced. It's a blast to walk through.

(I got a big moose and landscape set of glass gels and 'decorated' my cube window with the insanity. Really.. a moose?!  =)  )

If you have young children looking for inexpensive presents to buy with their allowance money, this would be my top pick in places to take them. Likewise if you want to stuff party goodie bags with interesting and unique pieces.

Or, if you're like me, needing a bunch of random stuff and would like a more enjoyable shopping experience than the nearby WalMart would provide, this is a fantastic place to drop by..

Daiso is worth a trip if only just to get the kind of wonderment you might get when you step into The Land of the Misfit (Plastic) Toys. So many of the things at Daiso seem wacky at first glance, yet seem totally worth getting by the time one is ready to leave ("yes, I could go for that plastic yellow banana holder. I would not want a bruised banana.").

One note of warning: Daiso has a no return/exchange policy.

I love Daiso! It has awesome prices and a great selection of so many cool things! I find it's a great place to get cheap art supplies. They have tons of different types of tape, pens, stickers, gift boxes...you name it. I also have been able to find ziploc type bags, tupperware and containers for next to nothing! I will say that some of the tupperware is a bit flimsy but the price is right. The store has a pet section with great prices. They sell toys, dishes, snacks...so many things! I always leave with a bunch of stuff and I don't think I have ever paid more than $30. I could spend so much time in this store and not get bored of it. The Mountain View store is much better than the one in Cupertino. Cupertino doesn't have as much selection. It's a great place to go for gifts and random household items. The beauty products are good quality and so much cheaper than anywhere else. You may have to check with someone who speaks the language because many products are not in English but that doesn't matter to me.  I just love this place. PRICES ARE AMAZING!

I love my coasters, little pieces of green felt with a mouth less panda. I love the neck massage I bought my boyfriend, it's so awesome. I love my hair dyeing kit..gloves, ear covers, comb , and clothing protector. My banana holder looks naughty , but I hate mushed bananas in my back pack.  I loved everything I got. I got a giant bag of goodies for a little over 20 bucks.  Daiso makes shopping fun and an adventure instead of a task.  The cashier kept on yelling out "no returns ! no exchanges !" to every person the checked out. He seemed quirky, which I think kind of adds to the whole shopping experience. I think if you're looking for something that you think should exist but  haven't found , you just might find at Daiso.

Imagine a dollar store full of quality, cute stuff all from Japan.

That's basically it.  Everything's under $10, most things are $1.50.  There's so much random goodness at Daiso--from attractive dishware to cheap art supplies to instant, inflatable boobs.  Yes, boobs.

We always check here for generic household items because they have them at ridiculously cheap prices (energy saver lightbulbs for 25 cents, anyone??).  Did I mention everything's adorable??  Cute notebooks, cute wrapping paper, cute sponges, we even got cute SOAP holders.

Oh yeah, they also have Japanese stuff.  Lots of it.  Bento gear, wall decorations, Pocky... and those oddball Japanese inventions like a keychain static shock absorber or a portable ashtray necklace.

Going to Daiso is like going on a treasure hunt.  You never know what you're gonna find.

This place is friggin' AWESOME. Lets just say, it looked like I was on "Supermarket Sweep" or something as I ran through this huge store grabbing all these awesome and cheap goodies. If you haven't been here yet, just imagine the beauty, home, and stationary isles of Japanese Supermarkets like Mitsuwa or Nijiya, but instead of just being limited to one isle, expand it so it fills up an entire huge store. Oh and price everything about a buck-fifty.

There's even outdoor garden stuff, and stuff for pets! Why does it seem like even though this is a dollar store, nothing is "dollar store quality"? Oh those Japs. I got myself this new badger brush for shaving that was way superior to my janky Art of Shaving one that cost way more. A buck fifty versus 30 dollars? Sounds like a deal to me. Mango flavored gummi snacks, baked snap peas, and a whole arm-full of other goodies and I was set. Definitely swing by and check this place out.

I wish I could give this place SIX stars. Amaaaaaaaaazing selection of highly useful things like kitchen gear and highly strange things like driving gloves, and super cute things like erasers shaped like food. They always have at least one cool kitchen device you've never seen before like a dumpling pincher-together thingy.

Great for last minute stocking stuffers or birthday presents too!

Upon hearing a very brief description of this store from my sister, I wasn't super excited about checking it out.  About 30 seconds into walking through the front door, however, I was all about the Daiso.

There are two aspects to my affection for this place.  One is based on actually being able to purchase things that I want/need.  The other is the result of the super-high kitsch factor.

As for the kitsch - I will have to post photos later of some of my purchases.  The engrish abounds in product descriptions.  For example, I bought a car-window sign with a drawing of a pregnant woman which says "Maternity on board.  I am safety driver."  It's pretty hilarious.  I also purchased a clear mask which promised that I could look like a drag queen and provided some great instructions.  Just all around funny stuff.

I purchased some things there that I really enjoy and use like a nylon bag that folds into a tiny pouch - great for keeping in my purse for when I need it.  I got some adorable napkins and a ton of great candy along with some other miscellaneous things.  And most of it was $1.50 - you can't beat that with a stick.

I can't give this place 5 stars because the sponge holders I purchased stink - the suction cups that are supposed to hold them up don't work at all.  But, if you make sushi or bento boxes, this place has a TON of supplies.  There are also tons of fans and flags and some great tea making supplies.

It's worth the trip just for the amusement but you will almost undoubtedly find something that you really need for a fantastic price.

Wow, I think this might be my favorite Daiso store now (even though I love all the natural lighting at the San Diego location)! It seems to be the largest I've been to, and it also has the largest selection. I even found a really cute hair band that I had only seen in Japan Daiso locations! After losing my Japan one, I was able to find it heeere, yayyyyyy!

This place even had pet-related stuff. I wish I had known so I could have bought a cute pink litter scooper instead of paying more for a boring one at a pet store.

I love, love, love this place.

However, I don't get why taking photos isn't allowed in the store. Sometimes I want to ask people what they want by sending them a text with a photo. It's not like it's a book store and there are magazines/books to photograph and not buy!

I have to say, one employee ringing me up once wasn't very nice, but other than that, the workers were okay! And I'm not so fond of the location, but oh well.

I heart Daiso.

Great fun! Very nicely organized and clean, and for a smaller Daiso, has comparable product selection to larger stores.  Friendly and active staff.  Not as crowded as Union City - a little more relaxed.

Certainly a smaller ceramics section than some.  But a larger and easier cosmetics/beauty section.

Love the TOMY machines by the register - mini Disney princess figurines, Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh, etc.  Icing on top of a wonderful impulse buy experience!

I'm so addicted to this store!

Since my trip to Japan, I've already made a couple of visits here, with happy endings! :)

This place has all kinds of knick knacks and interesting finds for everyone,  you will never come out empty-handed. Whether you are looking for dishware, storage items, arts and crafts, cosmetics, pet supplies, plant care, cleaning supplies, clothing, or anything that comes to mind, you'll find it here!

Best part of all, most items are $1.50! I'll be back for sure and have yet to check out the Cupertino store.

I gave it four stars because I'm not too keen on buying 'slightly beyond best by date' or expired food items.

My head almost exploded trying to comprehend how awesome this store is. A Japanese dollar (1.50) store... totally awesome. They sell lots of items that the Japanese seem to make _really_ well: tea pots, tea cups, organization tools, bowls, snack foods, compact cleaning supplies, and the list goes on.

Most Japanese stores I've been to sell very pricey imports... and have small inventories, but not Daiso -- it's practically 1/2 the size of a grocery store and WAY cooler. Honestly, when I was a wee-lad growing up in the country and watching anime: I would have severed my left little toe to have access to a store like Diaso.

On a final note: this store kicks American dollar stores butts'. It's actually better than departments stores like Walmart and Target for similar items as well. Their merchandise seem to be of higher quality (though still Chinese made) and is significantly cheaper.

This place is worse than Target. You go in for one thing and come out with things you didn't even know you wanted but somehow desperately needed. 1st time here was an adventure. We wanted plastic soup spoons that have a lip on the handle so you can place them on your bowl without them falling in. Someone said they should have them at Daiso.

Walking up and down each aisle, almost looking at every single item was exhausting! The kitchen section alone was like going to Disneyland. It is a small world after all. I wanted the bento boxes just because they were cute. I wanted chopsticks because they looked cool. I wanted clear plastic containers because they were new. Melamine sponges because they were in bulk.  Then the honey reminds me that we have Tupperware, Glad, Pyrex, chopsticks and magic erasers at home. Boo.

Then I found the cosmetics section. I wanted lashes, makeup, face masks and other stuff that I had no idea what it was because it was all in Japanese but the packaging looked cool! Again, the honey reminds me that I have all this stuff and more at home. At least I know where to come if I need a hyaluronic acid face mask for $1.50.

I can't really figure out what they don't have in this store. I saw home goods, health care items, stationary, cosmetics, car, kitchen, picnic, purse, luggage, and a bunch of other sections. I didn't have the energy to go through it all.

Unfortunately they didn't have the spoons we were looking for. But I did get clear mascara, a fork with a clear carrying case, 300 blotting papers, plastic office containers, and some other stuff. I don't think we paid over $3.00 for a single item.

I have already decided that all Christmas gifts this year will come from this store. Lucky for you if you are on my list!

There are no refunds, returns or exchanges. You wrap and bag your own items.

So I'm back backpacking through Japan and funny to say, the first place I yelp about is Daiso...but that's because I was looking for those cute and colorful dish washing sponges that are shaped as sweets.

I saw them in the 300 yen stores in Japan, but I figured I could get them here in the states so I wouldn't have to worry about my cramped backpack space that was already filled with my many shopping purchases as well as food and friend's souvenirs.

Sad to say, this Daiso didn't carry them. They only had the regular, boring dish washing sponges. Since my trip was spoiled, I decided to walk around. Found similar items that they sell in the 300 yen stores, but I found the items in the Japan stores better. But don't worry, I'm not hatin' because at Daiso, you CAN find some useful and some not so useful items for a minimum of $1.50. The only thing is that if you look carefully, most of the products are made in China or Korea. I found most of the candies to be made in Japan.

I just miss the chorus of "Irrashimasssseee" and respectful bows from the Japanese employees.

Daiso: Japan's #1 Livingware Store!
Most items $1.50!!

So boldly screams the big banner welcoming me to my a grand adventure inside Daiso. The most "expensive" thing here is marked at a little over $10, and it's car related.

Here are some treasures I've found at Daiso that found a loving home with me: (http://i34.tinypic.com...) bento box, 5 chopsticks (this is why Kuya Walter took away my Filipino card), fake eyelashes, Pocky!!, shrimps chips, milk chocolate, sunshade since my windows aren't tinted, Mardi Gras masks, puppy and hamster themed tissue, veggie cutters in heart and star shapes, bento box wraps, Hi-Chew, etc.

There's so many things here! Cooking utensils, hats, $2 neckties, knock off bags, good quality make-up, snacks, costumes for Halloween, charcoal face wash!, Tupperware (for all you Filipinos out there), notebooks, calligraphy sets, and tons tons tons more. Lots of useless and useful things for cheap, and a lot of great buy.

Bought 30 items here and totaled to $50. Do your math and that's about $1.66 per item. Not bad! The service here is great too, but they make you bag your own stuff.

Oh Daiso!  You will definitely survive in this recession!

Pros;
-You can find lots of cute trinkets, sake cups, and other dishes for super cheap.  They would make great gifts, especially if they've never heard of dollar Japanese stores!
-Get the microfiber towel to dry your dishes.  Best invention ever.  Dries like a dream.  I'm so old and domestic...

Cons:
-ummm...still thinking.

Bottom line:  You'll find yourself saying "omigosh that's so cute" to like everything.  Damn you Japanese!  You know how to make everything so adorably appealing!  I have a crush on you Daiso.

Daiso... talk about a fun/cool/cute store!  It's cute in the 'Japanese' cute kinda way... even the guys stuff is cute!  I had heard about this place from about a million people before I finally made it to see what all the talk was about.  It did not disappoint.

Need cute gifts/plates/decorations/make-up/sake glasses/clothes/purses/dog toys/tape/socks/plants/stationary/kitchen strainers/organizer shelfs/laundry hampers/food.... *inhale*  then DAISO is your place!  Not everything is 1.50 but it's all cheap!

I'll definitely be back!

You know that googly feeling..when you see a cute little baby with the chubbiest cheeks ever..and you just want to pinch (or bite) them? Yes!..that feeling. That's the feeling I get when I come into this store. They sell ton's of cute little things here...from cute little mini chopsticks..to mini VOODOO dolls...to mini teapots. There are lots of different types of japanese dishware and kitchenware. Most items are $1.50, some $2 or $3...$5 is max I believe, but I've never really seen anything for that much. They also sell cute little bakeware items and who'd ever thought they sell mini rice molds in the shape of animals!!

They also sell Calpico here!! Lychee flavored!! I love that stuff...

I don't ever bother with the toy section...not really anything worth looking at...just as I wouldn't at any other dollar store..and due to the recall/plastic factor. 8T

I can easily wander down each aisle (strategically, ensuring I cover each one) for over an hour and I don't even know it!! Definitely a place to check out..and although I usually only walk out with a few items (out of self-control)..it's always fun looking.

One other note: be careful if you plan to bring any kids, lots of glass items in the dishware section, so you want to be sure they keep their hands to themselves. 8)

I'm obsessed with Japanese goodies. I often sneak by the store and return home with things that I probably would not find any use for if they weren't as cute. It is the equivalent of a Hyakkin in Japan, so the prices are great, though the selection is limited... at least to me, but then I've been there way too many times.

The staff isn't great. I think I have only seen one staff member who was Japanese and who knew what I was asking about, the two other staff members at the registers spoke with heavy accents which were hard to understand. Luckily I'm fluent in Spanish and Japanese, which makes my shopping experience more enjoyable since I can communicate with the staff, but for the English-speaker who isn't familiar with either language, I don't know how much they'd like it.

I wouldn't say everything in the store is useful if you don't adhere to some sort of Japanese-esque lifestyle, but they have a large variety of organization items that transcend cultures... Like really small food containers. Oh, and the watermelon sponges are pretty cool.

You have to bag your own stuff though, which is tedious since it gets crowded.
I usually take my own cloth bag, it's simpler.

Staff is outstanding!  I was looking for a hard-to-find shade, and the Daiso staff immediately began to call other stores using his Japanese to locate my shades.  When he couldn't find it, he placed an inter-transfer of the item with 2 other stores, Union City and Daly City.  The staff called me when the shades arrived.  What outstanding service!  I was very touched!  This Daiso store's staff go above and beyond!

There used to be a 99 cent store by Frank's Deli (RIP), and my sister and I, in our St. Jerome's uniforms, would walk over there with my mom after closing time, while we waited for my dad.  I don't thing we ever bought much and only recall cleaning products and lots of plastic things so I'm not one to be excited by a dollar or less store of any kind.

Daiso was different, mostly because it was clean and well organized.  I was hosting a dinner party for 10 and had a grand total of 6 non dessert size plates because of an accident (poor motor skills strike again!) the week before.  I didn't really expect to find much but I really, really did.

I bought a lot and you have to wrap and bag your own things so I was up there for a while.  Luckily, the cashier was super sweet and helped me wrap, got me a box and then helped me out to my car.

These places seem to be popping up all over the place so I'm sure I'll be in another one some day soon, especially if my clumsiness continues.

Walter couldn't have said it best: http://www.yelp.com/bi...

Don't get me wrong...it's fun, and I am giving extra stars because it's the only one of it's kind....but I walked in and walked out within 10 minutes.  Cool stuff...but I was bummed that they didn't carry that certain something special I was looking for...

***
side note: and what is with Trader Joe's not having anymore Panko Crumbs...boo!

WTH is everyone all excited about here?   This is freakin Japanese dollar store!     I ventured here with Mika one day.    Big turn off for me because I never heard about this store.    My first expectation was something like a Pier 1 imports or World Market.     We drove by it and walked right in.   After 20 minutes or so, we left.

Okay... after posting this review I didn't realize how many frugal shoppers there are!   So i'm adding one more star for all ya'll!

Most items $1.50.

Please keep me away from this place.  I can easily drop a few benjamins.  I don't know how it all adds up, but there's too many things to buy.  Things that I don't even realize I need, I somehow needed them once I browsed past them.

They carry things so many things.  From utensils and dishes to laundry nets to bento boxes to make up to gardening tools to pet needs to Japanese snacks.  If you need/want/desire it, they probably have it - and at such a cheap price.  Japanese things are typically very expensive because they are really well made but this store throws that sterotype out the window.  Everything that I've bought have remained in great condition.

I love you, Daiso.  If only you didn't suck away my paycheck.

Minus one star for the weird layout of the store.  Some aisles are verticle wihle others are horizontal.  this makes it very hard to go up and down the aisles (to ensure you cover your basis) without backtracking unnecessarily.  Oh and they don't accept returns/exchanges.  That's so UNAmerican!

Daiso is so cool, I really enjoyed shopping the aisles.  Picture a LARGE store crammed full of all sorts of household items, all from Japan!

If you are into bento boxes, you will go crazy, because there is three aisles just of accessories. You name it: picks, dividers, rice forms, cupcake forms, bento boxes, mayo holders, soy sauces "fish" -- all of them cute, cute, cute!!!

(can you tell what I ended up buying?)

...but the fun doesn't stop there!  There are tons of plastic storage, lots of Japanese crockery and every cooking gadget you can imagine (and some you can't).  There are office supplies, soaps, socks and well... it's like a Cost Plus, you know back in the day before it got all tarted up.

Most things are 1.50, but there are few 3, 4, 5, 7, 16 dollar items, which are pretty well marked.  Everything is grouped with its logical cohorts.

Parking is a little chaotic, it shares a parking lot with a Sears, a Trader Joe's, a Thai Restaurant and a German-style bakery (too late to try, next time!) and is off to the side of a WalMart.

So, yes, I'm glad I checked it out, but I am taking off a point for being over-stimulated and the fact that although the cashier was friendly, you are tossed a bag and expected to bag your own purchases, just a little too casual in my book (Oh my, I sound so prudish! I'm really not!).

While DAISO has already had a bunch of reviews, I only want to add this...
If you want to make your girl friends happy, and they have not been here before, plan to spend about an hour letting them oodle the items that are in this ENORMOUS 'dollar' store.  Maybe splurg a few bucks and buy them some things they're hesitant on....  Now where can you get so much love for a few bucks?  Even an ice cream cone costs more!
Even the most skeptical women always get a smile out of the cute stationary items, oriental fans ($1.50ea), paper lanterns, you name it....  You won't be disappointed guys.

the store is really organized well, they have an exotic selection of some of your day to day items. kitchen, home & kid sections. art supplies are super cheap, assortment of brush sizes all 99 cents. plus they have some nice pens & papers.. they have japanese munchies too.

you have to pack you own bag & there are no refunds.

it would have been 5 stars, but many things are made in china and currently that makes me hesitant to purchase those products.  Its a fun place to walk around. Would be great for kids parties and goody bags. Very interesting kitchen items, but i look carefully to see where things were made. sometimes i rather pay more and hope the products are higher quality.

The CUTEST dollar store ever! I went here with my girlfriends on a lunch break from work. Before we stepped foot inside, one of my girlfriends said, "oh, you guys aren't going to be 'real quick' in this store!" She was RIGHT! I recommend coming when you've got some free time and don't have to worry about heading back to work!

There is sooo much CUTE stuff to look at! We got to scan for about 15 minutes and everything is just so CUTE. Did I use the word CUTE yet???? From car and home accessories, to stationary and candy. Prices range from $1, $1.50 to I think about $8. I'll be back soon.

!! CUTE !!

PS: Hi-Chew candy is BOMB. Try the Mango-flavor. They sell it here for $1. It sells for much more at 7-11.

Ah man...I wish this store was around when I was planning my wedding last year! It would have been the perfect place to buy little Asian wedding gadgets and decorations and save a lot on cool paper too!

This place is fun....I love the collection of Lucky Cats. Often have thought about starting a collection of them. Its not a place I would regularly shop at though...I hate trinkets in my house so I wouldn't buy those but I love the paper and party supplies they have!

I've grown up half in Tokyo about a block from the original 4 story Daiso where everything is about $.90- $1.00 so I think this one is a bit limited and more than I'm used to for the exact same product.

Then again, counting import taxes and that this is the only Daiso around (except for somemall in East Bay or San Jo) that I've seen, it's pretty good. Ridiculously cheap relatively though Wal-Mart has more selection I think. Good to get some cutesy Japanese stuff if you aren't up for a drive to Japan town.
