Oh how I miss you dairy queen... =( where will I go for my tasty blizzards when the time calls... Yogurt park just doesn't cut it when it comes to mixing in toppings and yogurt together.  The workers here are all your friendly neighboring high school students... if they mess up (add too much or too little) just let them know and they will not hesitate to make you a new one. Can't forget to tip the cup upside down when they hand it to you!

First and foremost I LOVE Dairy Queen.  I've been enjoying this heavenly treat since I was a child and it seems to hit a bit of nostalgia for my Dad.  My first encounter with Dairy Queen had to be when they opened it up in the Los Cerritos Mall.  My family tended to visit the mall every Sunday after church, having lunch in the food court and this was my most wanted dessert.  Soft serve is such a simple treat but man they bring it to some whole other level.

Secondly, since they closed down the one in the mall.  This is the only Dairy Queen that I know of for a long while and sadly I wish their was another because this place is just a terrible establishment.  I've never gotten good service here.  When ever I order a Blizzard an ingredient is always out of stock.  A lot of the time the employee's that work here have this sheer look of disdain for you for coming here.  No personality no courtesy.  Just some zombie.  But I come here and I'll keep coming here as long as it's a Dairy Queen.

I have never had DQ before.

NEVER, EVER!

And I wonder why!

My sister treated me out to DQ after eating next door at Pinoy Bistro and mm, we both had the chocolate dipped soft-serve ice-cream cone. it was tasty and like, my shift button seems to be tapped out from overuse, so it won't really capitalize things, BUT  ... it was delicious.

$4.09 for two chocolate dipped soft-serve ice-cream cones? good price!

the shell of the chocolate layer is supposedly better than mcdonald's. mm. ice cream.

There is something we have here that our brethren in SF or Oakland doesn't have...Dairy Queen!

Yeah, they have some at neighboring cities like Vallejo, Concord, or Heyward. But nada in San Fran or O-Town. Conspiracy in that maybe Diary Queen is too hip for these wine and cheese snoot-nose lovers.

Missing out on the Blizzards, sundaes, malt shakes, dipped cones, or banana split must be killing them. Plus, they also have a soft serve ice-cream. But if you come into one of the DQ, you must get the blizzards.

This is one of the few place that I know that have its own place. Usually DQ are in the mall and is team up with Orange Julius. The place is very small and have a few tables inside the place. Decked out in white when I was there. It's facing the mall across 183rd Street in Cerritos.

Looking for a delicious ice cream treats, you don't have to spend up the wazzu like in Pink Berry in Santa Monica. That I never understand even tasting it on why it would be that much. Maybe it's me, but I don't think the more it cost, the better it taste. That theory is whack.

Maybe we are too greedy to share DQ with our NoCal brethren, but it was definitely a great treat when I was a kid. Every kid should get a blizzard growing up. It's not a childhood experience unless you have one.
