I had to remind myself not to rate the Daily Grill based on a biased point of view - so 3 stars it is.

Back in 2005, the Long Beach location was my first place of employment EVER: great working memories and the beginning of more than a few long lasting friendships, including Yelper Carolina Z.! Caro and I were disappointed to hear that the downtown LB location has recently been closed down, as we now have to drive a bit further for our popcorn shrimp and spinach artichoke dip. Delish!

So while YNOT and I were staying at The Standard this past Halloween weekend, I could see the bright green Daily Grill sign lit up from our hotel room. My bestie hadn't eaten yet so I suggested the Daily Grill because I knew what to recommend as well as the convenient short distance.

The decor is the same at all locations: the beautiful dark wood, sleek black bar top and dark leather couches. The host was very handsome, clean shaven and sported a very expensive suit. Mmm. The gentleman handling take out was just as well kept - I was impressed. Heck, I even noticed the bartender and cocktail server were easy on the eyes too. Coincidence? Probably not.
We ordered take out and waited while chatting in the waiting area. Looking around, I didn't notice much difference from when I worked for DG. Mainly business clientele, everyone was suited in their best work fits giving us a run for our money. We got a kick out of this guy skateboarding outside in his business get up. Hilar. Anyway, YNOT ordered the penne pesto with chicken - NEVER FAILS. I love the pine nuts! I just wanted a salad - spicy pican, gorgonzola, endive and romaine salad with a walnut oil vinaigrette to be exact. While I was eating, I just about food orgasmed in my panties and my mouth is watering as I am typing - no joke.

Basically, expect good and attentive service, clean environment and chatty ambiance. They always serve warm bread and butter - great to dip in the chowda - and big portions! The staff is trained to know their food and wine. I'll be honest, I docked a few points because the food is good but not the best and definitely overpriced.

MY favorites:

- spinach mashed potatoes
- endive salad
- fried calamari
- popcorn shrimp
- spinach artichoke dip
- cobb salad
- angel hair pomodoro pasta
- penne pesto
- skirt steak (oh so missed)
- pan seared trout
- chicken marsala
- chicken parmigiana
- strawberry shortcake
- brownie fudge pie

Whoooo...

That's all folks!

This place is great for happy hour. The ambiance is relaxing and not pretentious. It's nice for after work.

All the happy hour items like sliders, the calamari, and the ahi tuna are all good and at a good price. I wouldn't consider going during non-happy hour though.

LOVE LOVE LOVE their food.  My fav is chopped steak with mashed potatos . . . they always do it right . . . very attentive waiters and friendly.

At times, if it's crowded during lunch, it may take a lil while longer to get your food . . . but its nice to watch the hot [male] waiters roll out with various meals on platters . . . everything looks so delicious . . .

Definitely eye candy in the house on legs and on platters.

Went for Happy Hour last Sunday.  Ordered the meatloaf sliders-tasty but a little dry, same for the reg. sliders.  The seared ahi was very good, calamari respectable.  Portions smaller than McCormick & Schmick.  Parking is a challenge.  Very limited street parking.  Valet is $7.

I'm amazed on how low this place is rated.

Today was my last day at work and my bosses took me to lunch here today. We had made the reservations yesterday. So we get there and we waited about 10 minutes and a man came up to us and asked if would mind sitting in their private room. Which is usually $350 but we didn't have to pay for it. We mainly ordered from the Specials Menu and we got the Ahi Tuna appetizer which was delicious and then they had spinach leaves that were sooo good. We also ordered the onion rings appetizer with blue cheese and it was delicious.

For my main meal I ordered the blackened steak quesadilla which was really tasty. I don't like guacamole but everyone else at my table picked at it and they all said it was really good.

They have the best margarita which is "Patron Pom Margarita" which was so flavorful, and the Bloody Orange Martini is really good and they make them pretty strong.

Overall it was a great experience!

Ate here during DIne LA week. Highly recommended. Super great value.
For $26 I got all this food:
- warm, soft on the inside, crusty on the outside sourdough bread
- huge bowl of barley beef soup
- other people i my party had shrimp cocktail w/gazpacho. 4 huge blackened shrimp
- nice sized portion of blue cheese crusted filet cooked perfectly medium rare, so soft you didnt even need a knife
- another diner had rack of lamb, 6 big chops
- ahhh dessert, how can you go wrong with an ice cream sundae. creamy vanilla ice cream with warm apple, caramel, and pecans- delish!
- service was great. love that they scoop our bread crumbs with that neat little tool. lol

i've also always had great happy hour experiences too.  Good after work crowd.

definitely recommended.

I go here a lot.  it is stumbling distance from my office.  They have the best happy hour downtown.  The food is awesome and extremely cheap, drinks are a little more, but stiff.  Staff is always friendly.  It is kind of the Cheers Bar downtown....everyone gets to know each other, and everyone knows your name.

I have also been to other Daily Grills and they are not all the same.  This one seems to be better than the others when it comes to how the food is prepared and the service.

Do try the Sliders...the Tuna Sashimi...and the Popcorn Shrimp.  They are $2.95 each, but taste like $10 each.

I came here a few times with my co-workers from quite literally across the street for lunch. It's always crowded during lunch hours, as it's pretty good and has a decent lunch menu.

I usually get the sauteed sandabs from the lunch special. A bit dry, but not bad for the price and location (right in the middle of the financial district...). The farfalle and grilled cheese sandwich aren't bad either.

Place is average. Nothing special, but good service and a quick place to grab lunch if you're downtown. :)

One of the spots I frequent on my lunch break, you will find me at the bar watching the news or sports on the big screen and sippin down a beverage to help get me through the rest of my work day. I love their wine but it's a full bar and when I have a beer or mixed drink I have never felt like they poured horrible drinks or were stingy on the good stuff. Mind you I stick to basic stuff I usually have the hummus trio and two glasses of red wine. The appetizers are somewhat large for one person so they suit me as a meal. Besides that I have had the hot sandwiches like the french dip which was yummy yummy and not at all anything to complain about, another time I fancied a Chinese chicken salad and never looked back. So I recommend but I advise to order with caution because the food is good but not exactly wonderful-lily great at times.
p.s. the soup is nothing to rave about.

This place is just OK... you never know what you're going to get, though, foodwise-- and it's just too expensive to make it worth the gamble. If this place would knock the prices down to what the food merits, I might go back, but it has the quality of a glorified diner and still costs $80 for two people to eat dinner!

I've walked by here several times during happy hour and wondered what all the fuss was about... (tables, patio packed with people)... now I know. I guess maybe I should give the $3 apps a try. THAT might make DG worth it...

My boyfriend lives in downtown so we've been to many restaurants around downtown, so I happened to pick Daily Grill since I liked it the first time he took me. I like this place, because it's simple and has good customer service. We're seated, our drinks are taken, and bread is at our table, and food comes, and they check on you and drinks are never empty. Very attentive.

Food is good... I've had the steak salad from here, and I like it a lot. lettuce topped with steak, 2 onion rings, red onions, blue cheese crumbles,  and 2 toasted french breads and im a happy camper. My boyfriend got the pre fixe dinner, which was a filet mignon, spinach mash potatoes, it was pretty good. dessert came, and it was this banana cream pie sort of thing wish chocolate shavings, and that was pretty good itself, but we were sooo STUFFED, i wanted to purge!!!

So Daily Grill makes me smile and my stomach want to explode. Faruk was our server and he's very friendly, and attentive, and funny (to me), he knows what's up.

I almost hate to write a review based on my experiences at the happy hour, but since this will be relevant to some, I figured I might as well.

Happy hour is a pretty good deal which is why this gets 3 stars. I started with a cheap Sam Adams. Obviously that's going to be just fine.

I had a well vodka martini and it was really pretty bad. I guess that's what I get for not getting anything premium, but the stuff they used obviously was really low quality.

The glass of wine I had, a Coppola Syrah, had obviously been left open for quite some time. There was no smell and little taste. A highly disappointing glass of wine, though they did provide quite a bit of it in the glass.

The food I had was fine. I had the mac and cheese which was fairly good and the "sidekick" hambugers (small hamburgers/sliders) that were quite good for their price.

Overall it was an acceptable place to have happy hour, but it certainly wasn't anything to write home about. Stick to beer or fruity drinks if you can... both my wine and my friend's Pinot Noir were unsatisfactory.

I'll just say 2 things I saw at this place at lunch today. First, I walked in to a super fabulous, very attentive host, who quickly said, welcome, found our reservation and took us to our table. During that brief 30-second encounter, I could see behind him into the bus area or whatever that's called where servers get sodas and enter their orders....anyways, in that little place was a server sitting on a stool stuffing his face with shoestring french fries. He ate about 3 fistfuls and then stood up, poured a diet coke or something and took it out to a table. Within seconds, his fingers were in his mouth, then on some poor diner's drink. Health department much?

Cut to 5 minutes later. I'm in the bathroom. And while I'm doing my business, I can see in a reflection, a server walked in and straight to the mirror and proceed to dig his hands and fingers deep into his mouth, like he was stretching his cheeks trying to see a cavity or something that was stuck in his teeth. Cut to him leaving without washing his hands. Turns out he's the staff Expo, the guy who takes the food from the kitchen and serves it to all of the tables.

that's just nasty, and unacceptable. Daily Grill Downtown, you be nasty. If I saw that within 5 minutes in the front of the house, who knows what's going on in that kitchen.

It should be noted to be fair that the bathroom was quite clean. I didn't end up eating. I was grossed out.

I used to go here twice a week, now once a month and only when a business associate suggests it. They recently STOPPED serving breakfast, which was their last niche in this market. The meals are far overpriced, and this chain made its name on reasonably priced "comfort food."  The bar scene is okay for the financial district, but the service is aloof (from the servers to the hostess staff to the bussers to the managers). I tried a little test on the bar server last week and asked for a specific martini after I inquired about their happy hour specials...It came, seventeen minutes later....and it was $13!! Wow....talk about LATE and EXPENSIVE! Beware All! try Chaya or Drago across the street in the City National Plaza, or the bars at the Standard or Checkers nearby....if you are going to have to spend that kind of money, one might as well get some semblance of value.

The parent company of Daily Grill just went private a few months ago and was reporting particularly poor financial results...I know that people took a bath on their stock, and now they are trying to gouge the public in an attempt to make up their losses!   Tsk, tsk!

Daily Grill definitely has lots of indoor and outdoor patio space so seating isn't a problem here for happy hour. (Just fyi, the patio can get pretty loud with all the sirens and buses driving by every few minutes)
Being that it was a Thursday night happy hour, I thought the restaurant would have been a little more prepared than having 1 waitress for the entire outdoor section. 1 server for about 6 tables PLUS the tables she's waiting indoors...you can just imagine the service.
Anyhoo,  happy hour til 7pm. $7 Stoli martini's and cosmos, $3.50 miller light and $5.50 house drinks.
The selections from the happy hour food menu range from $3-$4 per item and they're basically half the portions (if not smaller) of the regular portions. The mac 'n cheese and chicken pot pie were my favs.

I'm a suburban kid.  I don't go to LA much.  I don't like their one way streets or the crazy ass bus drivers.  I don't like having to validate my parking everywhere I go or suffer the tragedy that is 101 traffic at 5pm.  But I do envy their food scene.  I've heard of the Daily Grill and their multiple locations that have all eluded me since I hail east of the SGV.  However, I don't envy this food scene.  It's just, in Yelp's words, "A-OK."

First off, service stunk.  stank.  whatever.  But our party of 4 had to hunt down our own 4th chair for our table, our own menus and almost the server.  Water went dry a few times, and she didn't light our freaking candle.

The happy hour $7 martinis were again, A-OK.  A little little, a little weak - but what do you expect for a $7 martini?  The blueberry lemonade had a good taste though.  The happy hour menu consisted of $3.95 and $2.95 items, worthy of noting were the Chicken Pot Pie (very yummy!) and the Quesadillas, which were quite generous in their filling.  I love mac and cheese, but I was pretty disappointed in this one - tasted like thinned-out Velveeta shells & cheese with bread crumbs on top.  Bummer.

In all, glad I went so I could close the book on this place move onto better things.

This place has pretty good food and a decent happy hour. I've never ordered takeout so I can't comment on that. I've heard the pot pies are great but I've never tried that. I really just love the Penne Pesto and I get it just about every time.

Now I realize why I had never dined at the Daily Grill....
Was going to hit Asia de Cuba for dine la week but after researching the dine la week specials, daily grill appeared to have a good deal for $26. Soup or salad, rib eye steak or lamb shank or fish and choice of 3 different desserts.
I would rather pay more for quality rather than save a little and eat crap.
The food quailty was awful, from the cold bread to the old wilted salad,
the entrees and the dessert did not get better. How does this place call itself a restaurant?
The bill came out to $85 for 2 people. Completely not worth the money...
For $85 you could eat at Ruth Chris, Morton's, Lawry's, Flemings....

I've previously been here for lunch and considered it an overpriced place for a casual lunch.  I decided it would be okay for a business lunch and then forgot about ever going back. Probably because my expensive crab cake and mediocre steak just didn't register among the thousands of places to eat in Downtown LA.

However, I checked out happy hour last night being tired of the other places near my office.  We sat at the bar and was served by a bizarro bartender.  He was sharp on the drinks and even poured a little extra wine for my coworker to finish off the bottle (but no freebie for me...hrrmph!).  My vodka tonics were well-made for the happy hour price of $5.50 a piece (well vodka is Gordon's, you can get Stoli for $7).

We ordered mac and cheese, spinach and artichoke dip, calamari and a chicken pot pie.

I liked it all though I thought the portion on the calamari was really skimpy.  But it was only $2.95 as was the mac and cheese and the spinach and artichoke dip.  All were small portions but perfect for two people.  The chicken pot pie looked huge at first but then you realize the baking dish is very shallow.  Still, it was beautiful and fairly tasty for $3.95.

Our bill was about $40 for three drinks and four items of happy hour food (including tax and tip).

I'd go back for happy hour to try the dirty martini which I noticed the bartender stirred instead of shaking it, which I feel is the proper way to make a dirty martini (despite what James Bond says).

Food is good but a little over priced because it's a hit or miss. On some days I think it's really good. On other days I question "what happened?!?!"

I always make a reservation if I plan to lunch there to avoid the long wait. Then I always stick with what I know.

Chicken Pot Pie or Chicken with Capers.

I normally come here for breakfast or lunch b/c our building is literally walking distance to the DG and I've always experienced the kind hospitality of the servers, hostess, etc.- So I decided to bring my mom here for here birthday.  We first saw the Matinee of the Phantom of the Opera and I thought, hmmm, I'll bring her to one of my ONCE "Favorite place" (emphasis on once!)

Why am I not diggin' the Daily Grill??  Read on:

1- Since our building is walking distance to the place, I never had to figure out where to park... and with all the one-way streets in Downtown LA, we circled the place 4x before we found the valet.

2- Service was extremely slooooooooow!!!!!  And this is quite surprising b/c they closed off a good section of the restaurant normally opened for lunch seating.

3- Servers or bus boys were EXTREMELY RUDE!!!  Once we were done eating, I hear one say to the other- "Puede da una caja a la hota."  Translation: Can you give the gay girl a box.... HOLY CRAP!!!  I was with there with my mom, excuse me...And had it not been that I was with my mom, there would have been a smackdown.. I freaking speak fluent spanish, and have never been treated w/ such ignorance.

4- Okay... I guess I need to talk about my meal.. I had the Mahi Mahi Topped with Lemon Butter Sauce and served with Grilled Vegetables.  It was so delicious that the fish practically melted in your mouth.  It was pan crusted w/ almonds and a light butter sauce,,, didn't taste fishy at all.
My mom ordered the Braised short ribs... okay, if presentation is 98% they got 5%... it looked like 2 slabs of BBQ served on a plate... no garnish, nothing... DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

5- As we were sitting and talking, the hostess asks us- "Can I get you anything else?"  Well, after sitting for half an hour waiting for our bill, that would have been nice...

As much as I love the DAILY GRILL... I think this will be the last time that I will be eating here (unless it is a meeting or something)  Yes our bill was $78.00 for 2 people... Really pricey- and when you combine the service, food, attitudes of people... I could have gone to a much classier restaurant, w/o the drama!

Lunch is always great at Daily Grill with a large selection of different foods to choose from it's neutral place to eat with picky eaters. Usually lunch price is between $15-20 per person, but service is unusually fast for a downtown restaurant. On the average day I can get in and out in about 45 minutes.

My recommendation is the penne pasta with the ceasar salad combo special.

I had breakfast here last week.  It is located in the nice part of downtown, it has a real 'NYC" kinda of a feel.  Parking is tricky.  Had to park across the street and paid about $15 for the meal.

I ordered the Asparagus/Shitake mushroom egg scramble.  It was a nice meal, it came with breakfast potatoes that were seasoned perfectly with a touch of white onions.  The menu is a bit pricey, but it was worth the trip.

I had a pretty good breakfast here.  I had the Joe's Omelette with the breakfast potatoes and a cup of coffee.  The omelettee was a descent size and all the ingredients tasted great.  The potatoes were outstanding.  Compared to most of the breakfast potatoes served in Austin are just plain jane reds and nothing more, but these had a great look and actually had flavor to them!  Kudos to the DG for that.

Now, the waitstaff on the other hand, had some issues.  The confusion began once my original waiter was kind enough to let me know that he was going to take a quick break and a female waitress was going to cover down on him while he was taking 5.  My original waiter must've not briefed her about me or his other tables because not only did my order sit on the firing counter waiting to be picked up due to her not knowing aobut me, but she also brought me the wrong order and had to consult with the cooks and original waiter, who just so happened to walk back in just in time to get back on track.

This place gets three stars for the food and one star for delegation of the waitstaff.

I never knew the Daily Grill served Breakfast!  Apparently this is a new development for the D.G., so I was happy to check this out with a few coworkers.  The location is convenient for a business breakfast--that is, convenient in theory.  Good restaurants realize that people don't have ample time for a leisurely breakfast downtown.  Time is money!   The Daily Grill hasn't quite figured this out yet.  Our server was an aloof, bad attitude havin', slow excuse for a waiter. His attitude really affected the quality of my meal, and I was really disappointed.

Anyway, onto the food.  I had an egg white omelet that was served with a tomato/avocado/basil salad on the side.  It was pretty good-good enough that I hardly needed the toast that came just as I was finishing my omelet (and I am a really slow eater).  The coffee orders for my friends came minutes after my latte which just didn't make much sense.  The verdict is out on whether I will go back, since the City Grill at the Wilshire Grand has a better breakfast, with quicker service.

Damn, I really want to give the Daily Grill 5 stars!  But I can't because of our waitress' unbelievable bratty attitude.

But their food is GREAT!  I am secretly wondering if I like American food more than Chinese food, especially lately because I've been having so much of it.  But a half-rack of baby-back slow-smoked ribs in BBQ sauce, four jumbo shrimp soaked in a lemony zesty citrus delicious sauce, a little bowl of baked beans--with pieces of BACON chopped up in it!--and a little plate of coleslaw for $19.95 seems like a RIDICULOUSLY good deal.  And it was all REALLY good.  Honestly I've never had beans like that.  And I know it's weird to go to a steakhouse and be blown away by the beans (pun intended), but I don't care.

They have other options to go with the ribs special -- half a chicken or half a sirloin steak.  And their FRIES are so good!!

Anyway, the service is TERRIBLE here.  I've been to the DG in Irvine and the service there was like we were in a palace.  The waiter sang for us, brought everything out with smiles and I just remember him being extremely polite.  The waitress downtown barely showed up after she took our orders, blamed things on the busboy ("Oh, he must have forgotten your coleslaw"--where I come from you just apologize and bring it), wouldn't give us a bigger table for our party of 7, completely ignored requests, rolled her eyes a bunch and was an all-around bitch.

OH!  AND... they add on gratuity for parties of 6+ right?  Well, when the bill comes they even put another line below it that says "Additional Gratuity."  So don't be fooled!!  They use trickery here!!  Why would I give you even MORE than 18% when I'm already forced to reward you for sub-par service??  Ridicurous.

Anyway, SPECTACULAR food and shitty-as-skid-row-one-block-away service.

I've been here for happy hour a few times. The appetizers are 3 bucks. And they're pretty damn good too. The fried shrimp and the ahi tuna sashimi are my favorites. I have noticed that in the last 2 months or so their portions have started shrinking. You used to get 8 or 9 pieces of sashimi. Now you get 6. You get less shrimp than you used to. Smaller portions of hummus. Less calamari. Etc. But the quality is still there, so I don't mind too much.

my review is soley based on the happy hour.

food is either 3 or 4 bucks a dish, i would say that's pretty awesome.  and there are plenty of choices...i really want to try the ahi tuna sashimi next time!

we had a bunch of spinach dip and hummus.  spinach dip was amazing.  the waitress kept bringing up extra toasted bread :).  hummus was solid...nothing mind blowing

martinis are 7 bucks and beer is 3.5.  the people sitting next to us kept talking about the sliders and how delicious they were.  but then again, they had a lot of empty beer glasses..

the parking blows...valet is 7 w/ validation. i hate downtown parking.

i agree with the review below regarding ahi tuna wrap, it was pretty awful, just funny tasting. As far as everything else goes, the salads were okay. I didn't really expect much of this place though, just kinda went by to grab some food after the gym across the street.  I'd prefer getting the post workout meal from Famima across the street and i know i'll be content. speaking of which, i must review famima NOW.

arghhh :)

Unlike other cities I've lived in, walking or eating anywhere near the financial district in LA during the lunch hours used to evoke in me a strange and uncomfortable feeling. Yesterday was different because I was with a lovely friend who made me forget about where I was.

To be honest, I am not sure if the food's good or not at the Daily Grill. I wasn't paying attention to my food at all as our fascinating conversation went on. My friend ordered hummus, along with her grilled asparagus. I had the grilled lime chicken salad entree. She had warned me it's going to be huge, but I didn't realize it's going to be humongous! It'd have to take me 3 meals to finish it.

I wouldn't have come to this place for lunch (or dinner) otherwise, but as I've said a million times already, the person you eat with truly matters.

Great location. Very close to the metro station. Service was fine. Our server was sweet and patient.

Not thoroughly impressed but I don't have much to complain about either. I came here on a busy downtown lunch day. The hamburgers my colleagues ordered looked great. I kind of regret taking the risk of ordering the "loaded mac and cheese", which was served to me somewhat lukewarm and not-totally-fresh-tasting.

This is apparently a chain of restaurants and that's what the atmosphere is like. I'm unable to tell the difference between this and Houston's.

I met a friend here for Happy Hour recently. There were a lot of people there, but we had no problem grabbing seats at the bar.  Our drinks were delicious (I had a mojito) and our appetizers were tasty.  We had shrimp, spinach artichoke dip and some mini burgers.

I've been to a few places in the area for happy hour and the drink prices are very competitive at the Daily Grill. In fact, they're even better when you factor in how much faster the service is and how tasty he food is.

I'll definitely be suggesting this place for happy hour meetups in the future.

Last night was the second time I have been to the Daily Grill and both times I liked the food but wasn't wow-ed by it.  Last night I hot the hummus trio appetizer which was quite good but skimpy!  There was a sun dried tomato hummus, a kalamata olive hummus, and a plain hummus that was served with flat bread and cucumbers.  They really skimped on the flat bread and cucumbers.  I had a lot more hummus than I did bread and cukes!  The hummus was quite good though, I loved the chunks of olives!  The flavors were real strong too!  I enjoyed it!

I also got a side of mac and cheese which was a blend of cheddar, Gruyere, and fonita.  It was served in a skillet and really good!  They skimped on the bread crumb crust though which frustrated me.  I normally love the combination of the crust with the cheese, isn't that the whole point of mac and cheese?  It was quite good though aside from the lack of crunch.

My friend got the seared ahi tuna appetizer and onion rings which she liked.  I had one onion ring and it was really good!  Not too greasy, which was nice!

Overall I find the food to be good but overpriced for what you get.  The waitstaff is nice but unimpressive.  I would say The Daily Grill should actually get a 3.5.  I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but if you work in Downtown and are meeting friends who also work in Downtown this is a perfectly good dinner option.

We ended up eating here because everything we walked by in downtown was closed...of course. We sat down and I knew this place would be hard to eat at since I am a vegetarian...Brian on the other hand loves meat. We started off with the trio of hummus. The regular hummus and olive hummus was ok. The sun dried tomato hummus was dry.

Brian ordered the cheeseburger and I ordered the grilled vegetable plate. Who knew that each entree could feed a small village. The cheeseburger was huge as was the serving of fries. The grilled vegetable plate came out with all kinds of veggies from spinach and broccoli to fennel and mushrooms. The veggies were over risotto and had a balsamic glaze on them. It was good...I just don't like fennel. Me and black licorice flavored things are not friends.

We both were stuffed and still had half of plates full.  Our dinner came to about 50 bucks...a little on the pricey side, but expected for Daily Grill. I don't see us frequenting here often.

Good for the traditional American Fair, I feel that DG is a bit overpriced - but the portions make up for the lack of any  "variety". The wait in the Downtown location can get long, so I suggest Faxing in your order or making a reservation.

The bar is awesome, I really like the setup and the TV's. we go here more often for a after work drink, than a nice dining experience. You can also order food at the Bar tables while enjoying a show.

Check it out if your near the South Park area.

Came here for probably one of the busiest nights .. Valentine's Day with my honey before we headed off to the Staples Center to see Barry Manilow.
We were greeted immediately and taken quickly and professionally to our table.  The host was friendly and personable.. A very nice first impression

Our server came up to us shortly after and offered drinks and water. We gave our drink order and also our entree and appetizer order

He repeated back the order to us (both appetizer and entree). Then we waited and waited for our appetizer to show up.. After about 10 minutes I began to wonder what the delay was for a simple appetizer (Brushetta)..At the 12 minute mark our entree order came out but NO appetizer :(
We inquired about the appetizer and the server told us "OH gez I forgot to put that in... would you still like it"... Hmmm no.. not now obviously.... anyhow he did seem truly sincere... so we let it go

Just about completing my entree and I look down at my plate and see a HUGE LONG BROWN HAIR on my plate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I immediately brought to the server's attention who was very shocked and apologitic.... the manager also came over and then rightly so removed the entree from the bill
*i was still cringing at this point*

Service overall was ok.. waiter needs a better memory and the cook staff needs hair nets!

Will I return... probably not.. two strikes in one night isn't acceptable.
