It started as a winter afternoon catching up with a girlfriend. It turned into a love affair. More specifically, a love affair with tater tots. And ever-so-alcoholic cherry cokes. And booths that are both roomy and cozy. And staff that was willing to bring my BFF a buffalo chicken sandwich with the bun on the side. It's the little things, really, that make this place special.
Things I don't like: that service can be slooooow. That it is damn near impossible to actually WIN at music trivia, no matter how many points you score on the machine! The fact that they did not know how to make a hot toddy.
The food is okay here: Good sandwiches and hamburgers, huge portions. But the best part is the TATER TOTS!
Sidebar: This must be a Midwestern thing. In California, you can't find one tot, no matter how hard you look. Here? They're everywhere! God bless these little golden cylinders of starchy joy! And, props to Daily, the tots here are phenomenal.
Why, you could say that they're positively TOT-errific! Uh... TOT-ally amazing? Totes TOTS...?
Eh... End sidebar.
Anyway, my only problem with this place (aside from the horrible, blaring, and unceasing celebration of mid-nineties mediocrity; I mean, the Spin Doctors, Daily? Really?!): the service.
No, no, that doesn't begin to state how bad the service is here. Let me put it this way: I fear for my safety around the wait staff.
Boy, these ladies don't like us. I mean, we're always asking for food and beer. Sure, we ask politely, but we also bother them like three or four times on each of our visits. Where the hell do we get off? They let us know that we suck out loud though. Plenty of glares, awkward silences, curt responses to questions, even a guilt trip or two.
Last time I was here, our server messed up our order. She couldn't hear me over the Candlebox CD (or whatever). Fine. She could have left it at that and fixed the order, but then she proceeds to tell me that she's deaf in one ear and I'm speaking too quietly for her, so basically, it's my fault.
I know, right? Personally, I blame the Counting Crows. Just my take on the situation.
But, that bit of lousiness aside, this is a pretty decent place to get a little drunk and listen to Collective Soul... I mean, enjoy greasy spoon fare.
Options. I like them. I get them here. I like here.
You get your first option as soon as you walk in the door and that is the option to sit wherever the hell you wanna, save the big top tables which are understandably for a larger party. I can dig it.
Then you get side options for your entree. They don't cost extra. You don't have to finagle the chef into conceding to your whim. You simply get to choose what you want to accompany your main act. They obviously got the memo.
When I'm greeted by the waiter/waitress when I come here, I almost respond with "spinach artichoke dip" cause I'm just that eager to eat that dip. They serve this appetizer with tri-colored corn chips and it's topped with diced tomatoes. They don't drown it with cheese which enables one to enjoy the freshness of the artichokes and spinach.
This go around, I saw the special was a meatloaf sandwich. I like slices of loaves of meat, but on a french roll topped with pepperjack cheese? That just sounded like pure gluttonous tom-foolery. I ordered it . I opted for the mashed potatoes with gravy as a side instead of the fries. My food came out piping hot. The mashed potatoes were great with lovely little bits of potato skins. My sandwich. . . was exactly as it sounded, sinful. Oh Jeebus, that sandwich was all types of s'marvelous and s'wonderful! If there was a bell tower close by, and I was batty enough to climb it, I'd yell out "Gluttonyyyyyyyyyyy!!" from the top of the tower. Now let us bow our heads and bask in the glow of the meatloaf sandwich. Awesome.
Moving forward, I gotta add that the buffalo chicken sandwich here is really damn good. My mother had the chicken breast sandwich w/ Swiss cheese, and guess what? She felt it was really damn good. So, I'm sure you know what comes next. The sandwiches here are really, really damn good. The spinach artichoke dip calls out to me when I pass by on the sidewalk. They give options. They. Make. Me. Happy. And my happiness, is what makes fairies fly. Let us bow our heads and thank Jeebus for Daily Bar & Grill.
The Daily is one of those places that's kind of a fall back option. I rarely seek it out, but if I'm feeling less than inspired to find a new restaurant to try, or I'm just plain lazy (I could throw a rock at this place from my apartment's window), this is my go-to. Their outdoor patio is huge and always busy during the warmer months.
I never really consider eating healthy here either, when it comes time to place my order fries are always involved as well as some sort of sandwich including meat and melted cheese. My favorites include the turkey burger, patty melt, and honeymooner.
The portions are large and in charge, which makes sharing one sandwich between two people very possible while still filling you up. It always seems to have a good crowd of happy people, but never overcrowded or obnoxious.
One downside? No dessert menu! I feel like The Daily would nail some classic desserts like brownie sundae, apple cobbler, pie, etc. but I guess they haven't traveled down that road yet.
Any place that serves tater tots gets an extra star in my book. These fried puffs stuffed with moist potato makes me feel 10 times healthier post-eating than just plain ol' french fries.
Daily Bar & Grill has the look of a diner, the interior of a train or even boat, and the feel (and smell) of a neighborhood pub.
If you're in the mood for pub grub like all-American burgers, over-cheesy Tex-Mex food, or club sandwiches, then this is the place for you.
I personally dug into my sloppy joe which was super tasty with beef, small slices of onion and bell pepper, and all this drenched in their home-made BBQ sauce...with a side of tater tots of course! Oh and my group began with chips, salsa and guacamole which were refillable, quite a bargain I might add. Thankfully the guac wasn't just out of a can but home-made. Phew! I'd return to the Daily Bar & Grill when I'm just not too certain what I have a taste for. Just the snazzy facade makes me smile and perfect for a pre- or -post movie at the Davis Theatre.
The Daily is not my usual neighborhood place -- usually too busy and it's easier to head next door or across from the Old Town School.
That said, I greatly enjoyed their mucho nachos for lunch the other day:
chips, olives, salsa, cheese, and hamburger meat with a big dollup of sour cream on the top. And their blackberry tea....even non-tea lovers may enjoy this refreshing (bottled) beverage.
Worth giving these a try!
Really fun neighborhood bar with great food too. I love sitting in the booths and the Daily Dose Remake is a great cocktail that goes down a little too smooth sometimes.
Dear Daily,
We love that you are in the neighborhood and make life easy for us when we want to grab a quick bite. We love sitting outside in the summer and enjoying the weather and enjoy all the comfort foods that you offer.
What we despise is that you let babies & kids into this "bar & grill"....we understand that you are a neighborhood establishment..but want you to know how annoying & disruptive some of these kids are. The parents blindly eat their salads and drink their wine & beer while the kids howl, cry and carry on..Parents please note getting up and walking your kids around the place does not appeal to those of us who want a relaxing kid free night out..please take your child outside..do you hear me? I am counting to three..one...two..I am not kidding..don't make me get to three..UGGGHH! it does scare away us away and makes it hard for us to want to come back
I've been here a couple times in the last few weeks and felt like Daily deserves an extra star now. Sitting at the bar is fun -- regulars roll in and out, both guy bartenders were super cool and funny (and make a great dirty martini!), and their hot wings are delicious.

Finally was able to break in my first barstool at the Daily Bar and Grill last night.
I found the environment inviting and the bartenders great. Mike was our bartender last night, very hospitable, and very friendly as a bartender.
I like bars without gimmicks, where I can sit on my duff, drink beer and shoot shit with friends. The Daily definitely took care of me in all those regards last night!
First, let me say that my buddy Mike is a bartender here and he does a bang-up job. He's really a top-notch barkeep and the Daily is lucky to have him. Sadly, he was not working last Sunday afternoon for the kickoff of the NFL season. Not many football fans in attendance either. In fact, I was suprised that we were able to get a booth right away at about 1:30PM. I ordered a Patty Melt, which is usually a great hangover remedy and satisfying to the soul. Sad to say that, although I ordered it medium rare, it came out well done. I work at a steakhouse, so I'm sensitive to this issue. Service from our bloody-mary swilling server was fine, as was the beer selection.
I'll definitely go back to the Daily to visit Mike and drink some great beer, but I think I'll skip the vittles next time.
I don't frequent this neighborhood anymore for a number of reasons, but when I did this was one of my haunts.
Their beer selection is quite good, and their food is fantastic. One should know beforehand that the portion of fries or tots that comes with any meal is HUGE... not to mention, the general size of whatever sandwich you've ordered.
My favorite was always the black bean burger-- with bbq sauce on the side. It's a messy thing, this sandwich, so the sauce on the side really helps.
I also recommend their mixed drink specials-- and this from someone who NEVER orders mixed drinks. Unless a gentleman orders them for me. That being said, they're good and they're not too expensive.
I wouldn't go here daily (HAHAHAHA) but I would definitely return again and again.
Not bad - but nothing to write home about. I enjoy the booths here - they are comfy. The mixed drink specials are okay. The food was just so-so.
Oh - and they have this weird system where if you go in and want a table but they are all full, you go over to the middle of the room where there is a chalkboard on a pillar and write your name....but nowhere does it say to do this. So if you walk in and want a booth, go straight to the board and write your name down..the employees will be impressed.
Back in eighth grade, my aunt made a deal with me. If I took hula classes with her at the Old Town School of Folk Music, she'd take me to Hawaii. I agreed, of course, but was still not particularly excited for the classes, so she took me to the Daily Bar and Grill every Sunday after class for lunch, where every time, I ordered chicken tenders and cheese fries, both in very large, delicious, flavorful, greasy portions.
I haven't been back in years, but I still have a place for it in my heart as 1/3 of the reason I took those hula classes...
Mmmmm, thinking about the beer selection here brings a smile to my face. I appreciate any place with a large selection of microbrews on tap.
Not wanting to take up a booth as we weren't eating (although I've heard great things about the food!), my date and I sat at the large-ish, triangle-shaped, communal table in the center of the bar. Service was great - I'd ordered our beers up at the bar and they came promptly. Our server was easy to flag down whenever we needed anything else.
Overall, a very laid-back place. There were other couples on dates, large groups of friends enjoying dinner, and a couple sports fans up closer to the TVs.
A relatively small pub this establishment is a good stand by when I cannot get into other places in Lincoln Square. I like their burgers very much and portions are plentiful.
In addition, they do a good job with beer selection and serve Fat Tire by draft.........so you say, "who cares if they serve Fat Tire via draft?" Well, it seems a lot of places serve it in what I call the "White Boy 40", which is a 22 oz bottle, so I hate ordering it as I feel like some rapper drinking a 40 and "big pimpin" in a bad music video, so when I can find I can get a glass of the amber ale I'm thrilled.
Though outdoor seating isn't out just yet, it should be soon so look out for it.
With plenty of TVs, you can get your game on anytime. FYI, and a tad out of season, but never sit by the door in winter, even though they have a cover for the cold weather, you'll freeze to death from the breeze...trust me, because late in the evening seating can be a challenge as the bar fills up so I've sat near the door and was cold the entire time......regardless of the amount of shots I did *wink*.
I've been here a few times (my friend loves the sloppy joe's here so we keep going back) but I've never been impressed by their food.
It's definitely a clean and nice looking place but I haven't found anything good to eat. Especially the fries... too greasy and burnt.
Their pizza was okay, a bit on the oily side though.
Had their chicken teriyaki sandwich the other day and it was tasty but also somewhat burnt.
The crust on the chicken pot pie is great, but, the filling wasn't appetizing to me.
Everything else I've tried was not very memorable.
I personally wouldn't choose to eat here but I have a feeling the sloppy joe's siren song will call my friend back.
Over the weekend a friend had a wedding party here so that all of the young people could meet up, catch a drink and relax. My friend booked the upstairs (which I previously did not know existed).
The upstairs was spacious except for the small room where the bar was located. The bar room was cramped which made it very tight when ordering drinks and making a smooth exit from the room when the party started getting deep. Sam Adams bottles were $4.50 and tall Greyhounds were $5 and I drank four or so but did not get too rocked.
The stairway on the way up was a bit strange as it smelled heavily of cigarettes. The furniture for the frontroom upstairs has nice couches but no one wanted to sit there. The bathroom is inconveniently located near the front steps and is across from the way to the bar room.
There is another room with comfy chairs and plenty of room to drink and make a lot of noise and there is a stereo system hooked up to all of the rooms. The music was not too bad and included some kind of acoustic / trip hop version of Britney Spears' song Toxic. Weird, but not bad!
Connected to the main room were two other rooms with furniture more reminiscent of a bar with some tables and a TV that was not turned on. The TV in the main room had TV on and such and it was also convenient that people were able to order food even though we were upstairs.
Downstairs there is also a massive patio area for outdoor dining / drinking. Overall I had a great time and thought it was a good venue to have a party. I am not familiar with the pricing on it but you can get drink specials, food packages and so on but it will probably cost a pretty penny and likely have mandatory drinking / prepayment.

One of the cookie cutter Lincoln Square / North Center yuppy bars with decent flat screen TVs, being… Read more »
Like anything in Chicago, this is a great neighborhood bar nestled in with some great pubs. See Daily is the place where we go to start the crawl!
Pub Crawl Saturday is a great adventure of beer, cabs, bar food, and new friends. We start by eating a hamburger and cheese fries at Daily....from there we hit a pub or 5 then we lose all sense...take a cab home!
Great place to hang with friends...
I really enjoy eating outside here in the spring/summer because they have a great patio. Inside the music can be a little loud but if you need your dose of early 90's rock this is the place to go. The best thing here is the chicken caesar salad and it's something that I crave sometimes. I'd really give this place three stars if I didn't love that salad as much as I do. The burgers are good and it's a good place to quick eat before going to the Davis to catch a movie.
The Daily Bar and Grill is sort of a "meh" sort of place in Lincoln Square. I've been here a few times, and it's pretty good if you're looking for standard American fare.
I've had a few of the sandwiches and salads here, and they were good...nothing stands out as amazing but they did the trick. This is a fun place to eat outside if the weather is nice, because you're not right on the street but you can still feel a part of the square.
I DON'T recommend the martinis here. I ordered one once and it was a terrible mistake. It honestly tasted AWFUL...I sent it back because it was literally undrinkable, and the waitress looked like she wanted to smack me. I always feel bad sending things back, and only do when absolutely necessary.
The Daily Grill is good in a pinch, but I'd recommend going to one of the other many restaurants in the square.
The Daily is the kind of place that when I head into Lincoln Square for a meal and feel indecisive, I end up hanging out in a booth there. That may sound bad--like I choose it when I don't know what else to choose--but actually, it works out every time. It's reliable, and that's important to me.
I can't tell you a whole lot about the beer/liquor selection, but I can tell you they've got a fairly large menu, and a lot of things sound delish! They've got burgers, sandwiches, "homestyle" faves, and salads. Ooooooh, the salads. They come in huuuge bowls, and you feel totally stuffed if you manage to finish the whole thing! For 10 bucks and under, I'd say it's a deal.
The atmosphere for lunch is pretty laid back--the patrons include young professionals, parents and kids...you know, the usual daytime Lincoln Square crowd. Maybe sometime I'll be back at night for a drink or three...see if this place is hoppin' for anything else besides lunch.
I've been to the Daily several time as it's only walking distance from me. I been there to drink up, and i actually had eaten there a few times. Yesterday I stopped in by myself. I have no problem sitting and eating alone.....i know some people think its strange....but i don't. I ordered a side salad with balsamic dressing........very good. My main course for lunch was the buffalo chicken sandwich. comes with blue cheese, celery sticks and a big old handful of home cut style fries which were phenomenal. The sandwich was pretty good. It wasn't your typical sandwich that oozes buffalo sauce all over......but was tasty!
Lunch hour wasn't busy at all......they had about 2-3 booths occupied. the juke box was cranking some pretty good 90's tunes....and my waitress was nice. This place does get crowded on weekends and during prime time dining and drinking hours.
I historically have bad luck with restaurants. It could be my Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" habit of specializing pretty much anything I order, usually requesting something on the side or some sort of substitution. This luck, however, doesn't stop me from my habits or trying new places to eat!
I went here with a friend when she lived in the area. After staking out a sweet booth seat, we placed our orders. Our food arrived and the wrong sandwich was placed in front of me than what I ordered (it seems that the wrong item was inputted in the system). It wasn't just like it had onions and I requested no onions. It was a completely different menu item. They apologized for the mix-up and placed my real order. When my fixed order comes out, the bus boy dropped it not far from the table.
All the while I was munching on my friends french fries (imagine Chris Farley in the "Gap Girls" skit). By the time my food finally arrived, my friend was finished eating and it was now her turn to munch on my french fries. For the whole mix up, I'm pretty sure we got a round of free drinks. Either way, I wasn't that impressed with this place. For the area, there are a lot of better places within walking distance that have far less troubles with the waitstaff.
So I get the "seat yourself" concept but completely ignoring people is certainly not a good practice. We have been here many times and our last time was smack dab in the middle of a rush period. The sign said to put your name down for an empty table. Since we were in a a little bit of a time crunch we wanted to know if they had an approximate wait time but no one would even make eye contact with us and I really didn't feel like walking to each table and asking them how long they were going to be. So we left and no one batted an eye. Who knows...maybe it was a five min wait but the 6 of us went elsewhere.
The food is good and I really was looking forward to the tomato and blue cheese salad.
It is a popular place for that area and a diverse enough menu where a group can eat where everyone would find something they like.
I popped in here for lunch the other day, and it was A-OK. That's it, A-OK. The space is small, and oddly shaped. There are numerous booths that end with a giant half circle booth (reserved for 5 or more), a couple tables in the very front and very back, and then a giant triangle table in the center of the bar that several groups can share.
I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Not the biggest piece of chicken I've had, actually, it was on the small side (I hate to say that, but in this day, people want so much food, it needs to be carried out on 2 plates, when in all actuality, this piece of chicken is the size a person should actually eat), but the buffalo sauce was very flavorful, and real Blue Cheese dressing. The sandwich came with a heaping mound of fries, all for $7.95.
I feel the beers were expensive. $4 for Lites, I was drinking Gumballhead and it was $5.50 a draft. The beer list is very extensive, ranging from bottom of the keg domestics to a couple of Belgium imports.
I'd go here for lunch, a couple of beers and watch a game (can see the TVs from pretty much any seat), but might not be my first stop on a Saturday night.
I am giving the Daily Bar as a whole 4 stars. They have a large outdoor seating section (if summer ever gets here). They have flat screen tvs. It's always nice and clean. Inside seating is all spread out so you aren't crammed in there like at most bars. Service is prompt.
However I would like rank some of their food items individually.
Tator Tots = 5 stars. Who doesn't love tots!
Turkey Burger = 1 star. You can't just smash some ground turkey together like you can ground beef. I need peppers and onions and some flavor people. Not even the slice of swiss could save that guy.
Spinach and artichoke dip = 2 stars. I think that's what it was anyways. A friend ordered it and I tried a bite. Too spinachie, not cheesy enough.
Nachos = 5 stars. Can't really go wrong with this cheesy delight. Comes with guac! The only drawback is my fingers smell like onions and sour cream for the next several hours. I have nacho regret. I don't like having nacho regret.
Typical bar in Lincoln Square, yet they have a nice interior. If you want to feel like you are in a nice place go here. Aside from the fancy tile and woodwork though this i nothing more than your typical neighborhood bar yet with really bad food.
The drinks; good selection, decent prices and nice glasses. The food; over priced, flavorless and fancy versions of banal bar plates.
If they were to maybe hire a new cook or use fresh produce I could definitely give them four stars because they really did a great job making the place nice and lively, but the food shoudn't be noted in the name. That's it, just change the name to Daily Bar - no grill = four starts immediately. Calling it a grill is false advertising since their food can hardly be considered any kind of cuisine and not even sapid. :P Ok so I;m a hater, they had good service...
I have been here a few times and the Daily never disappoints! The service is fast and friendly. This place also sells TATOR TOTS :) They have cheesy tots as an appetizer and those little guys are very tasty. You can't beat deep fried tots with gobs of liquid cheese. I've had the turkey Reuben (yum), portobello mushroom sandwich (very good) and the sloppy Joe's (very tasty).
You should check out the Daily if you are in the Square. You will find something to satisfy your junk food craving!
Went here for breakfast. It was a little better than a Dennys and it was your average breakfast eatery.
I really like this place! It's got really good food (I absolutely *love* the spinach artichoke dip!) that's pretty moderately priced and a decent selection of beer. They could definitely work on expanding it. I'm surprised they don't have Blue Moon, for example.
I like the atmosphere and find that this is a good place to go on a date or to hang out with friends or to watch a sporting event. But I always worry about getting a table. If you don't have a table you pretty much stand around awkwardly waiting for one.
I really, really wish I could like the Daily. It is so close to where I live and they have a nice patio. But seriously, what is with the attitude at this place? I have been here four or five times and, while the first couple were OK, the last few have been awful. The server we had the past two times was just downright rude. She would go for long periods of time without paying our table a visit. Most of the time she was ignoring the customers she was flirting with the bartender, so it's not like she was busy. When we were able to get her to come over, she was just plain rude. I understand that you don't necessarily want to spend your weekends serving others, but it is your job. The job you chose. There is no reason to glare at patrons who have done nothing but ask for a bottle of ketchup. Your short, snappy tone is uncalled for as well.
Honestly, the service here has always been pretty horrible. All of the servers seem to disappear throughout the night. But the darling who waited on us the last two (lucky us-two visits in a row!), was absolutely ridiculous.
This place used to be decent, despite the overpriced beer and weird waitstaff. I think they may have changed their food supplier in the past year because everything tastes frozen to me now. They used to have a good black bean burger that had me wondering if it was made in house. Now, it's definitely a dry and reheated frozen patty. Gross, and definitely not worth $8, no matter how many fries you give me.
The patio is nice in the summer, but the beers are always overpriced (they never have good beer specials!). It's good in a pinch, but when possible, I prefer to spend a little extra cash and get a burger and beer down at Bistro Campagne.
I thought I was walking into a bar, but apparently this is Lincoln Squares new daycare. I mean really, WTF! I walked in with 3 friends after a night of drinking and in desperate need of either hair-of-the-dog, caffeine, or food. I got the latter two. We sat down in a booth and proceeded to order our needed indulgences. Nothing cures a hangover more like cheesy tots. However, the coffee here is AWFUL and at 2 dollars for bitter coffee I should've just walked across the street to Starbucks and gotten something drinkable. The food was normal bar food, nothing amazing. The service though was a bit on the slow side. I had a hard time getting water refills along with a side of mayo. I don't know, maybe the server was new and felt a bit overwhelmed.
K, now on to the daycare aspect....It was a Sunday and the Bears were playing and we sat in Daily and kept seeing group after group of children coming in with their parents. Must I remind you that this is a bar, not a playground. I felt like I had to censor myself and watch my comments made towards the Bears being completely F'n incompetent. Really Daily, either be a bar (which I would expect you to be with all those lovely bottles of liquor behind the bar) or be a daycare center and get some dimetapp and drug those children so I can watch the damn game.
We had a private Halloween party there last week. At first a lot of us weren't too happy that the wristband was $45 for four hours. But, they redeemed themselves when we started asking for doubles and they happily made them!
The private room we had upstairs was awesome, it was like a lounge/library. I felt like I was in someone's house. A little snug, but it was definitely a cool room, and we had a private bar with two bartenders.
I'd like to go back to check out the main bar as well.
I probably won't come here this winter. They blare the music insanely loud inside, but their outdoor seating is the best in lincoln square. The cute lights and plants and the large area make it a very nice place to hang. The service is fine, and prices are pretty normal.
Food:
the santa fe salad (I think that's what it's called!) is the best. I now know to only get this.
the fries are good
the fish and chips....pretty bad. The fried batter was hard and thick.
the classic cream soda--I never even knew cream soda and vodka was a normal drink! If they had this at every bar, I'd always be drunk.
Whether you're seating inside on one of their comfy booths or outside in their spaces patio you're always bound to have a good time. For the area it's a pretty relaxed bar. But beware late night gets packed and you will wait for a table.
Service has always been outstanding for me and my friends. When something has been wrong with our food they take care of it right away and with a smile.
The food is bar food but halfway descent. The nachos and cheese fries are sooooo fattening but gooood. The chicken sandwich is pretty good too. They also do carry out which was dangerous because I lived right down the street. They know how to pour drinks here which to me is the most important. Warning they have this drink that's blue.....it goes down like kool-aid and it's expensive so watch out!!!
FYI- You can rent out the upstairs for a private party but as I remember they are a little pricey. During the winter their patio turns into a Christmas tree lot, good trees for a good price.
I'm going with four stars because there is something intangible about this place that I like. It's just...comfortable. They do everything moderately well and have no obvious weaknesses. I hope to be able to spend some more time here over the next few months, whenever I'm in the mood for a straightforward place with a lot of menu options (and football on the TVs).
Chips and salsa--$4 for a huge portion of quality multi-colored chips and tangy, if runny, salsa.
Turkey burger--dry but flavorful; very good with the requested side of barbecue sauce.
Side salad--better than it had a right to be in a place like this; fresh lettuce and vegetables and a DELICIOUS sesame-soy dressing; filled up what part of the plate was not covered by the burger.
French fries--fresh-cut and solid.
Black bean burger--good taste but the bun becomes too soggy with cheese and onion topping.
Service--friendly and generally very good; our sodas were kept constantly filled throughout the stay. My lovely lunch companion even got a refill about three minutes after receiving the initial drink, while we were still perusing the menus.
I just really like this place. The have very comfortable booths and a nice interior as well. I've been lucky that every time I come to Daily's I have no problem getting a table but that can just be my impeccable timing!
As for food, I always seem to gravitate to burgers and fries and no matter which one I get it is always yummy and ample ... especially the fries. Yeah I go here throwing away any notion of eating healthy and with that I enjoy the Daily's experience.
After a long Easter Sunday walk with my man we were hungry and cold and the Daily Bar and Grill was a welcome site since it was pretty much the only place open on Easter Sunday. Props for that. I've eaten and drank here before and it's always just been "meh". I had the turkey burger with fries. The sandwich was fine, a little overcooked and dry. The fries were OK. My man had the turkey Reuben and his feelings were the same, just OK. The waitress was nice. The prices were average. There's nothing wrong with this place it's just not all that great and there are better places in the area. I'd like to try the outside patio though, that might sway me up another star.
