I haven't gone to the place in years, so honestly I don't even know if they're still open (it seemed as though they were struggling when I use to frequent the shop). However their financial struggle didn't seem to affect the food at all.
The employees - who recognize regulars! - are always friendly and speedy. The quality of the bagels and the sandwiches are amazing, especially the vegetarian croissant sandwich. The prices are reasonable too, which is always a good thing.
I would definitely recommend this shop for breakfast or lunch - but when I used to go there frequently, they closed at 1pm. So get in early!

The perfect place to start out the day...  a vast selection of bagels, different kinds of cream cheese, and drinks...  you'll feel like a kid in a candy store here!

They also make great sandwiches with bagels, croissants, or regular bread.  I chose the Bacon & Egg Sandwich.  While I got in my car and headed to school, I could not wait any longer...  I had to to try it.  I prayed for a stop light signal and when I got, I went to work.  Crispy bacon, eggs, gooey cheese, in between 2 slices of bagels..  my taste buds were going wild...  nothing like the taste of bacon fat flowing through your arteries.  Will probably come here again and again and again!

On side note, I also tried their donuts, but they were not as good as other places..  but hey, this is a bagel cafe right?  Get the bagels!

Oh, the good old days where we would rush to the Senior parking lot at the sound of the lunch bell, then compete with all the other newly licensed (& dangerous) drivers to get out of the parking lot. Once we maneuvered our way onto Mission Blvd..we were free from the bland $2.25 cafeteria lunches. It was off to "bagel shop" for us. Too bad..the line was always already out the door by the time we got there.

anwyay, much love for the 11C sandwich. turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce on a soft, buttery croissant. There's just something about this place, it's just delicious. Plain and simple...DELICIOUS. They must secretly add some addictive ingredient into the mustard..or something.

11C all the way.

My friends and I used to come here a few times a week for lunch while we were in high school. They have a bunch of different bagel/bread/croissant sandwiches (and the pictures on the wall...so it's not that hard to pick). The croissants are from costco, but the bagels are all fresh. The lady behind the counter is there everyday and is super nice and sweet, and she'll remember your order if you go there enough. All I ever got were bagel sandwiches and they are strangely freakishly good. I really am not sure why, because all the stuff was pretty regular but somehow the combination of it all just was really satisfying. All the ingredients are fresh, and it's quick (even with MSJ HS's lunch rush, we always were able to order, eat, and get back to school before lunch was over) and cheap.

After getting my license in Junior year, first thing I did was drive to the bagel shop.

All I ate were turkey avocado sandwiches on a croissant.

I remember when the little cashier lady was pregnant and I watched her tummy grow bigger and bigger and then I had spring break.  When I got back, her tummy was gone and a huge portrait of her baby was put up.

Amazing this childbirth thing is.

I grew up going to this place and to this day, it's still one of my favorite breakfast sandwich places.

Once you go here, you'll never find yourself standing in line at a McDonald's to buy a breakfast meal again.

I love their croissant sandwiches, especially with the egg, bacon, and cheese. My brother loves the same sandwich too, but likes go to hardcore with their roast beef. The service is friendly and the place is mom and pop, so it's cute and small. They have a pretty good selection of bagels and also a good selection of sandwiches that aren't that expensive.

Every time I come home from school I HAVE to get my dose of  bagel shop. It's just too good...the service is fast and the food is delicious. When I find something I love, I stick to it, and I've been eating the #3 on sundried tomato for as long as I can remember....

Prices are pretty reasonable...around $3.25 per sandwich, which is made right after you order.

If you go on a weekday at around 11:45-12:30 you'll hit the local high school lunch traffic and the line is usually pretty long around that time. I mean, it's nice to see some familiar faces but when you're there just to get a simple lunch it gets kinda annoying to make small talk with people you haven't seen since graduation.

I just went here for the first time in years! It's still as charming as I remember. The bagels are always fresh and the selection is wide. A good friend and I used to meet up every Friday morning to have breakfast here, with the intention to try every kind of bagel available. After several months, I carefully picked my favorites: the sun-dried tomato, the chocolate chip, and the jalapeo bagels. I remember too that after a few weeks of consecutively ordering the sun-dried tomato flavor, the man who worked Friday mornings would pop that bagel in the toaster just as I arrived in the cafe before I even said a word. My breakfast buddy's favorite was the cheese bagel (I tried it too, and I love cheese, but it just wasn't for me). If you decide to take some bagels home, there is a decent selection of cream cheese spreads. The sandwiches are good here too. I especially favor the BLT on a croissant. Highly unhealthy, but also highly delicious!

The Daily Bagel Cafe is privately owned and solely run by a hardworking, friendly couple. I am pleased to see that this establishment has been able to sustain business for so long, and the quality and service have not wavered one bit. GREAT place to go for breakfast and/or lunch!

This place gets 5 stars - not for the atmosphere, not for the service. But for the AWESOME sandwiches. Pretty much everything you order there will be good. Each sandwich is made very carfully with a perfect ammount of everything.Try the different cream cheeses - all yummy! My personal favorite is a turkey sandwich on a strawberry bagel. Its kinda like LEEs or HUONG LAN sandwiches but only its not a chain... so its even better. Actually thats an understatement, its 10 times better. Like I stated earlier: anything you order here will be good.

Came to Daily Bagel Cafe Saturday Morning for a quick bite to eat.  Daily Bagel Cafe specializes in...duh Bagels.  If you're looking for something fancy or upscale because it has the word "Cafe" in it, this is not the place.  Daily Bagel Cafe reminds me more of those hole in a wall donut stores than a "Cafe".  Have your typical beat up patio furniture all cramped inside and outside, several pictures of the bagel sandwiches you can buy that looks like they made it right there and took a picture with their own digital camera, and one of those old school pricing boards.

They offer a dozen different bagels here, nothing seemed special or what you couldn't get at other bagel stores.  I was disappointed that they didn't have either an Everything Bagel or a Garlic Bagel.  They also offer several different donuts here too as well as a couple cream cheese spreads for your bagels.  Again most of the stuff they offer isn't any different than any other bagel store I've been too.

The number 1 item here is that they offer more than dozen different bagel sandwiches.  Price here are reasonable, I didn't see a bagel sandwich over $5 and I would say a majority fall under the $4 range.  I ended up getting the Egg and Bacon Sandwich on an Onion Bagel with an Orange Juice and cost about $5 including tip.  Took about 5 minutes to make and got it on the go.

I have to say, was impressed with my Bagel Sandwich.  The egg tasted like it was freshly cooked instead of Microwaved like most places and the Bagel was very good.  The bacon was definitely reheated, but at least they were generous with it.  The bagel was very good.  Hand a nice crispy outside with a warm and chewy inside.  One of the better bagels I've had in a long time.

Overall, going to give Daily Bagel Cafe 4 star rating.  The interior can definitely use improvements and wish they offered meal options with their sandwiches.  But the food tasted good and would definitely come back sometime in the future.

Good prices and fresh bagels, but the selection of items is small. Still, a good plain bagel with cream cheese is hardly to be sneezed at.

Went to to the A's game yesterday and due to their dreadful loss I drowned my sorrows in too many glasses of beer. I spent most of last night running to the toilet with my hand over my mouth. Needless to say it was an awful night. This morning I was in dire need of bread and remembered seeing the bagel place on numerous grocery shopping occasions. Man was this place a lifesaver. It was quick and the bagel hit the spot. I came into work late and looking like crap but at least I was full. = )

Oh fyi...this place is conveniently located in the Albertson's plaza right off Mission Blvd so yeah it's a great place to stop by on the way to work in the mornings. They do take credit card but you have to spend a minimum of $5 - which sucks because all i wanted was a toasted cheese bagel w/ butter (85 cents). Ended up getting that bagel, a large hot chocolate and a ham & cheese croissant for lunch later. My total came out to $5.60 - Score!

Five stars for the memories...

...and the huge selection of fresh, chewy bagels and strangely addicting sandwiches.

During my high school years, my friends and I would all stuff, squish, and contort ourselves into one car and drive off for lunch.  The sandwiches are simple but good...I always got the turkey sandwich on a plain, toasted bagel.  Sounds simple, but for some reason, it's my favorite bagel sandwich.

Also yummy are the jalepeno bagels and the cinnamon sugar one...but there are so many to chose from!

My favorite place for a fresh bagel. Brings me back to the high school days and I almost always see someone I recognize there. It's always the same people working and they are fast and friendly. Prices are good--about $.65-.75 a bagel, if I remember correctly, with a good variety of both sweet and salty.

They also have donuts, muffins, potato chips, bagel chips, a good selection of cream cheeses (everything from jalapeno to strawberry to sundried tomato), and a good basic sandwich menu all for very reasonable prices. You can have them cut/spread/heat up your bagel if you'd like, too.

They do take visa, but only for over $5.

mmMMmm fresh bagels, large variety of choices in flavor, staff is very nice. back in high school, we would get to come here during the morning hour whenever we were lucky enough to cut class and get to this place. anyhow, the bagels here are very good.  one reviewer complained about the coffee here.. but that's why it's called daily bagel cafe! and they have great bagels. i would always get my yummy bagel toasted with cream cheese from here and then go (almost) right next door to mission coffee to get my coffee drinks.

Place it ok. Got a turkey avacado sandwich that was real good. But the coffee was made from one of those machines and was kinda wack. Shit tasted like hot chocolate or somethin. They only take cash.
