I'm torn on how to rate this place. On the one hand, my kids have a good time and look forward to going to Dadds Extreme. On the other hand, they are 9 and 3 years old, and they could care less about $, value, cleanliness!
Indeed, the place keeps them entertained. The large indoor go-karts is fun. Your child only needs to be 4' 4'' (I believe)- which is a blessing in comparison to the other go-kart places in CT which discriminate against height-challenged kids. Other activities available there include: Laser Tag, Paint Gun (hitting targets I believe), Mini Golf, and video/carnival games/prizes).
All video/carnival games requires tokens which you buy at the front counter. It's like the classic indoor arcade - where your child uses all of their tokens in machines which allows them to win tickets. These tickets are redeemable - allowing them win cheap/crappy prizes which are valued far-below the cost to win them in the first place. Obviously kids never realize that they spent all of their tokens/$$ to win something that is worth very little! LOL
Yes, this place smells a bit (almost like an old bowling alley) and this place will never win a competition for cleanliness. And some of the video/arcade machines do not work - and will do nothing more then eat up your tokens.
But in the end, every birthday party that my children have gone to - at Dadds Extreme- has been a complete success and my kids have a good time there.
Not bad for what it is. The place is dimly-lit and not always very clean, but they do offer indoor mini-golf, laser tag, and go carts. However, on an average visit, MANY of their video games just eat your tokens. But hey, my thirteen-year-old thinks this place is fantastic, so you should probably take his opinion over mine,
there's something about being the only 23 year old out of 10 or so kids on an indoor go-kart track that makes me feel like a HUGE dork... but then again there's something about coming in first place every time i race at Dadds Extreme Indoor Sports that makes going there worth while. seriously, this place is cool.
