After staying at the Da Vinci, I was so excited to come home and write a review. My boyfriend and I had a great experience. The pictures posted from another user are much different then the ones I will post, so I figure he may have gotten a room near the back of the hotel (we went on a Sunday, so I'm sure we got a newer room,  near the front). We had a window we could open and close and hear and see the city, it was nice. The bathroom had plenty of space for us both to get ready, as did the room itself. There was a closet with a safe and a huge mirror, a vanity/desk with a lift up mirror for makeup :), a chair, and did I mention the whole room was really clean?? The bed was comfy, the pillows were extra soft, and the flatscreen had good picture.
The elevator to get to the fourth floor, where we stayed, was small, yes, but there was never really a wait for it. The halls, as mentioned by other users,  yes, they were small, but not for NYC. Parking (one of the best parts) is like a valet, and it is directly across the street. A hop, skip and a jump. Plus, if you're staying at the hotel, they give you a sticker, you put it on your parking ticket, and instead of 45$ for 24 hours, you pay $28. The only thing is that you can't drive in and out, unless you're leaving. But who cares?! Take a cab!!
Okay so now I think I've covered it all. For the cheap price (90$) and the one night we stayed, and the quality of the hotel, my  boyfriend and I would definitely go back again, no questions asked.

Now Donald Trump would never stay in a place like this. However, if you are in NYC for less than 18 hours, need just a nice and clean room and bed to sleep in, and don't want to pay $300-400 a night because there's some major NYC event going on, then this $150/night sardine box is a perfect place. It's a tiny boutique European style hotel that's in a central and safe neighborhood (56th St. between 8th and Broadway), the hotel is simple but charming, the room is small but clean, you get a small flat screen tv, and the bathroom was surprising modern. Yes, the hallways are narrow so if you are over 300 lbs, you may have trouble squeezing through. See pictures.

Bottom line: A sardine box, but a nice, clean, and economical sardine box (which is what I needed). The Four Seasons, Marriott, and Hyatt it ain't. Check in, go out, sleep here, and leave. Not for the claustrophobic.

If there was a ZERO rating I would have given that. I booked the hotel using orbits for 2 nights 2 months in advance ... called the hotel 2 days before the trip to confirm and they said they were sold out on one day and i have reservation for just one day. Receptionist was the worst ever front desk person I have talked to ... first she did not want to tell her name ..then she told her name but was not willing to spell it ..... I asked for the manager and she said she is the only person in the hotel ..... this hotel is cheap but please make sure you confirm your reservation with them before you go there. You dont want to sleep on the streets of new york ..... worst experience ever of booking the hotel online .. beware of crooks out there ...

wow. i am so poor and i am so glad we found this place.

the people at the front desk were so nice esp. the dude manager.

we were there for a week and i swear it was perfect. the price is oh so reasonable for what we got. forget hostels!!!

puuuuuhhleeez, dont be expecting crazy fancy or poshy pretentious frou frou anything. if you are just looking for a quiet, convenient, and budget place; this is your deal!

here are other advantages: super close to subways, carnegie hall,  broadway shows, columbus circle, lincoln center, times square, rockefeller center...nathan's & papaya's hot dogs! duane reades (that's like a longs) on every corner so don't trip

no bed bugs, no grossness. private clean bathrooms, did i mention phenomenal prices for the nyc!!!! not spacious but you have a flat screen tele but who cares...you will be out and about!

save your money and spend on great jersey boys tickets and great food.

i swear you will be happy here.
