This place has the perfect combination for a nail salon: cheap, no wait, high quality. its perfect. i adore the $10 polish change. It makes it possible for me to get my nails done every week.
I like the quick back massage while i get my hands rubbed with the spa manicure.
By far the BEST nail salon in the area. The prices are NOT that bad. I went there to pamper myself on Monday with a mani-pedi. I planned a simple mani-pedi but ended up purchasing the Spa package which was a paraffin wax treatment on not only my hands and feet but my forearms and lower legs. They pay close attention to detail and make sure that you're comfortable. They do a wonderful job.
My paraffin wax was$65 total - but WELL worth every penny. I spent almost two hours being pampered hand and foot. Very relaxing!
They don't do acrylics, which is fine, because I don't need them!
Me brudder and I have come here a few times to get our hooves worked over. We've never needed an appointment.
They have chairs with the essential back massage feature but the real beauty lies in the follow up hand and back massage they provide if you get a manicure too. I was jelly. I mean I was relaxed.
The only negative was that my nail chipped less than an hour later. Luckily we were close by (having been sipping some cocktails at a local watering hole) and we stumbled back in for a a quick fix. But dang it...they chipped again the next day.
My next visit..same experience. V annoying. Plus once my nails were cut way too short and kinda square. It was a little traumatic.
I'd go for a pedi again but probably would skip the manicure...but then again..I'd miss that glorious hand/back massage. Ahhh...well...not in my neighborhood anyway so I don't need to make the choice again anytime soon.
I had been to D'Lee's before on my own and loved it, so when I took my mom here for her first ever mani/pedi on her 50th birthday when she came to visit me this summer, I was hoping she enjoyed it to.
We weren't let down. At the end of the appointment she was in heaven and I was right there with her.
With no appointments, they got us in right away and the relaxation began. The hand and back massages make you feel like a VIP client, and everyone is so friendly. They even offered to take a picture of us when I told them it was my mom's first mani/pedi! So cute!

D'lees is deelovely. It's right in Boystown, so parking during the afternoon is a dream, the salon is super clean, the staff are so friendly and do a wonderful job, and it's inexpensive for the mani/pedi duo during the week. You can even get your own manicure kit, to be kept and used only for you. Wonderful!

This place is the best!!! I can't go anywhere else becuase I'm disappointed! Like everyone else mentioned the mini-back/neck massage while someone else is massaging your hands is my favorite part of the manicure. They always do an impeccable job and never rush you like many other places. The pedicures are also fantastic with their brown sugar scrub! I've NEVER had a bad experience here! I'm planning to move out of the 'hood soon but will definitely drive across town to get my weekly manicures here!
Love it. First and foremost, this place is immaculate. The staff is friendly and they do a very precise job, in a reasonable amount of time. My favorite is the point during the manicure when the manicurist yells something in her native language, and a guy comes out of the back to give me a little back massage while she finishes up. Amusing and relaxing. I, like Isa b., chose D'Lees first when I moved to Chicago, based on Yelp reviews, and I haven't been anywhere else since. Thanks everyone. :)

I echo all of the (good) reviews on here about D'Lee's. It's a no-frills, reasonably-priced nail salon with a super attentive, friendly staff. Definitely a place to hit up if you're in the area and looking a trusted, clean nail salon.
D'lightful. As a walk-in I had to wait a little while, but they kept me there a half hour past closing and didn't rush me out. Which was particularly nice since I'm awkward at the end since I don't know how long to wait for my nails to dry. The girl I had was very careful and precise with my polish application.

Thanks to you Yelpers I chose this place for my first manicure/pedicure in Chicago.
I was immediately greeted by smiles and the manager or owner, I believe, couldn't be any nicer.
Yuna did an amazing job, she was thorough and polite although spoke barely any English. Her foot massages were superb.
I am definitely going back to this place... Hmm. I didn't get a back massage as my nails dried like some have pointed out, but I can't complain. It was a good experience. THANKS YELPERS.

For regular customers you get a little instrument kit that is just used on you. They just keep it under your name and store it in the shop. This comforts me in this age of rampant salon fungus. They are sweet and helpful...and my experience was very good. I will definitely go back if I am in the neighborhood!

What a great nail salon! I found it on Yelp and it really lives up to all of the reviews. My manicure lasted a little over a week which is a record for me.
They massage your back and neck while your nail technician massages your hands...so nice!
Plus for only $5 you can have your own box of tools that they keep for you to make the experience very sanitary.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! This is the ONLY place I get my nails done at. Great staff, who are attentive. they don't make you feel like they are trying to go as fast as possible to get on to the next person. They even give you a back massage when they give you a manicure!!! That is my favorite part!! Also, if you are into French manicures, I definitely recommend d'lees. This is the ONLY nail salon that I have ever gotten a french manicure that actually looks GOOD!! And the french manicure on my toes I have had since Memorial Day and it still looks good! Prices are pretty equal with places in the area. I almost forgot, they also do waxing too. I get my eyebrows waxed there, but they pretty much do everything. Try it! You'll love it!!!
And they take credit cards, you just have to spend more than $20 to use your card. $20 and below you have to use cash. But there is an ATM right outside.

I recently moved into the neighborhood and had been looking for a nail salon. After reading the other reviews on Yelp, I made an appointment at D'lees. The place is clean, modern and spacious with a good selection of colors. I waited maybe 5 minutes, but was then treated to one of the best pedicures I've had in a long time. They really give you the royal treatment, and the prices are reasonable. The back/shoulder massage I received when I was getting my manicure was the real deal! Fabulous. I will now be a regular customer.

So I really enjoy this place. The best part being the shoulder message I received. I asked the man if he would marry me! A little awkward, I know, but very true to form.
This place is clean and modern and has a refreshing smell.
The employees were super friendly and even put my sunglasses on my face- to avoid smudges!
I will be back.

This is my favorite nail salon in Chicago!
This place is always immaculate and the staff are pretty nice. The guy who is always there is the best. He likes to have fun with the customers.
The massage chairs are so comfy! Makes me want to fall asleep. I also love how they wrap your legs in a warm towel.
The manicures are great too. The water is actually warm! Can you believe it? They actually give you a back and neck massage too!
I love this place!!!

LOVE IT. So close to home, friendly service, clean place (a must for nail salons), great color selection, reasonable prices... what's not to love?
I walked in today for a last-minute pedicure and didn't have to wait at all. The foot and leg massage was awesome and even hours later, I'm totally relaxed. I'd go to D'Lees just for the massage at this point, so it's like ooh, my toesies look fab, too--what a nice bonus!
They've got a buy 10, get one free deal--with its good price and convenient location, it shouldn't be too hard to get that freebie.

I just tried this place out, I always seem to go on a Tuesday and it's closed. But I managed to go when it was open and it was nice. I only got a manicure, but the hand/shoulder massage was nice. Normally you get a quick little hand massage, but this was close to 10 minutes. I had a man give me my shoulder massage and while most of it was great, I'm a tiny girl so he was a bit rough on my arms. I saw that ladies also give the massages. I would assume it's whomever is available. I definitely want to try a pedicure because those chairs do look amazing.

Love d'Lee's. One of hundreds of storefront nail salons in the area, d'Lee's gracefully toes the line between the borderline seedy places with the circa 1982 decals of blue haired taloned women in the window, and the uber-trendy "Nail-Bar" type places where you have to wait 2 hours with all the trixies to get a mani-pedi.
Never a long wait (even when told its a half hour wait I've not waited longer than 5), and the manicurists are pleasant and attentive. Never get the feeling they're making snide remarks about you in korean, as I have at some other salons (a la Elaine on Seinfeld, being called "princess").
Prices aren't too bad, and they recommend colors, which I've never experienced at a nail salon before, but is kind of fun.
P.S. - check out the wall signs for the inexplicable quote marks. Nice way to pass the time. (i.e. No credit cards as of "Feb First").

Based upon prior research (and in large part the reviews placed on yelp.com), I decided to make an appointment for myself and two other friends at d'lees. One of which is a freak about cleanliness and also location. I am the fiscal advisor...in the end we set up an appointment and hoped for the best from this so-far lauded nail salon.
we were not disappointed. with a $39 mani/pedi, impeccable equipment, and a delightful staff, my friends and i have decided to make d'lees a regular occurrence.

I got a pedicure last night at this place, based on my friend's strong recommendation as well as the reviews on this site. My suggestion - don't go a half hour before closing time. They closed at 8pm, and I made an appt for 7:30pm, and I felt a little rushed. The woman that worked on me, I think her name was Shine, was looking forward to leaving and closing the shop. However, she did a great job and I plan on going there again - but maybe a little earlier in the day.

I popped in here early one Saturday for an inpromptu manicure. The staff was supernice, and tried to converse with me even though I couldn't hear them and they couldn't understand me. I had a lovely manicure and a shoulder and hand massage (which was funny because I'm 6' tall and the girl who gave it to me was tiny, the whole situation was quite comical) I expected to pay a normal amount, and it was only $15!! I'm planning on heading back for mani-pedi and eyebrow waxing. What a nice place!

Love love love this place! Clean, friendly, and quick service (I've never waited, even during a Saturday afternoon). A bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth it. I've gotten three pedicures here, and each has lasted over a month! The massage chairs and flat-screen TVs are definitely a plus.
I went to get a mani/pedi and had great results! The pedicure was wonderful, the massaging chairs they have are worth the price alone! She took her time and really made my toes look beautiful! Not a lot of conversation but that was fine with me, it was nice to relax and not worry about chit chat.
Everything was clean and it was more spacious then most nail salons. My mani was a little shorter than my pedicure but it was just as nice. I got the BEST shoulder and arm massage! WOW! And it was a decent amount of time too. And another nice perk that you don't find at every nail salon, is that they really make sure your nails are dry. There are little fans that you can sit with until everything is dry and they spray you with that fast drying magic potion at least two or three times. The only negative for me was that they said they don't do acrylic or "fake" nails, which is what I need for my wedding. But I will go back in the future for manis and pedis alike!

Finally I've found that perfect neighborhood nail salon I've been looking for! I moved to Chicago from Santa Monica almost a year ago, and I adore my new locale but one mani/pedi after another in this town has been as average as the next. Now I can say I've found the spot for me. I loved d'Lees! Clean, organized, spacious, new massaging/whirlpool chairs, OPI and Essie polish, and usually a short wait... I've been pleased every time (three, to be exact), and I'll continue to return. The employees here all seem sweet and/or friendly. The manicures and pedicures I've had haven't been rushed, and have even lasted a little longer than mine usually do - probably because they seem to take their time with the whole process. Another unique thing about this place is the more extensive spa-like scrub and massage they give your legs with the pedicure, and they even come around and do your shoulders after your manicure. And I'm not talking about a few wimpy squeezes, but true massage moves. I was in bliss. And that bliss even lasted longer after I saw the price: $39! I'd recommend the owner, Dong, and Lin.
