I always enjoy this place. My go to for breakfast is the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It is so good. Their bakery items including the sprinkled donuts and apple fritters are amazing too. One time I asked where they got their donuts from so i could get them on the weekend. Unfortunately for me, they make them in house! Seriously, the best sprinkled cake donut I've ever had!! For lunch I like their soup and breadsticks and also the bacon grilled cheese sandwich. From about noon to one they are pretty busy. I'm sad they are just in the skyway and only available during the week. But since I work in the skyway, it usually works out ok!

My coworker is slightly obsessed with the Greek salad here. Today, I agreed to see why her love for this salad is so profound. Except for I didn't go with the Greek salad. I probably will next time.
I had the strawberry spinach salad and it was perfect! The spinach and walnuts were nicely chopped. The strawberry and mandarin orange added just the right amount of sweetness. The recommended "medium" amount of poppyseed dressing dressed the salad just right for my taste. Nothing can put a damper on a salad like too much dressing.
I'll be back for more salads, including the Greek. I'm taking one star off because the setup is disorganized and causes delays. One goes up to a salad chef who makes the salad directly in front of the customer. It's the closest I'll come to a personal chef.
Oh, and the salad came with free breadsticks or rolls! Can't say no to those!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - True R.Downtown St. Paul, St. Paul, MN012Jan 29, 2021
The reason for this 5 stars is the breakfast cook was perfect he know how I love my veggie omelette and my wife omelette.
He is totally sweet and knows how to say the right words to smile on my face.
The cashier is perfect to she is kind and always has a smile on her face and goes over beyond.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joleen E.South Saint Paul, MN161Aug 7, 2018
Sean don`t you ever leave me. He is the ultimate breakfast cook.
The only time I was ever disappointed with my breakfast, was on the day he wasn't there.
They have the best staff, always friendly and welcoming.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brittany J.Hugo, MN1257Dec 6, 2019
I have no idea why I continue to give this place chances. Every time I get food from there I'm always disappointed and wishing I went elsewhere.
I paid $8.50 for a sandwich that was rushed together, the bread was rock hard, and overall unsatisfying. I ate a few bites of it and threw it away, and went to Jimmy Johns.
I've tried their breakfast a few times too. Awful. Bland, overly greasy and sloppy. Bacon is thin and has zero flavor.
The only positives- their soup is good and a good selection. And their build your own salad bar is pretty good too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 163495199Mar 15, 2014
Skyway food is either great or meh. I honestly love indulging here for breakfast specials or a cup of soup for lunch. The breadstick deal is pretty great, as many as you like when you buy any size soup.
What I'm not a fan of - the cook in the open kitchen area's foul mouth in the morning. If it were in the back, yeah, I get it, you don't interact with customers. Not a great way to start a Monday.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mary R.Skokie, IL08211Aug 2, 2015
Ate breakfast here 7/31, and glad we did. Plenty of selection for that meal.
Egg omelet with avocado had more avocado than I ever find anywhere else, very tasty. Not too thrilled eating it out of a paper box, but do not know if they have plate one could ask for or not.
The bananas, not overripe were $.25, so I guess they were some sort of special that morning.
The baked goods were a horrid problem, no idea how to pick just one. Did select the pistachio muffin, good choice. So many options and look fresh baked that morning.
Pleasant staff, and make you feel like they want your business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sean G.Minneapolis, MN326910Feb 21, 2012
This place is decent. Veggie melts are heart attack-tastically delicious.
The breakfasts are pretty cheap, and fast.
If you get eggs, though, please order something that requires a whole egg (e.g. over easy). Otherwise, if you get something scrambled, or an omelette, your eggs will come pre-beaten out of a vat, and will taste awful and 'flat.'Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ray M.Denver, CO5481Mar 14, 2011First to Review
Service was quick, but unfriendly. Cashier was snappy even though it was before the lunch rush.
I got the blandest chicken noodle soup I've ever tasted. My advice: go across the hall to Potbelly or across the street to Bruegger's and get something better...
Will not get soup there again, and as a result of this poor experience, I will probably not give it another chance.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
