My mom loves this Italian Restaurant.  It's pretty hidden in a random plaza in Diamond Bar (there seems to be a lot of random, seemingly deserted plazas in this city, and I grew up here!).  This place is pretty authentic, but the ambiance is more dreary than romantic.

Pasta dishes are homemade, what can beat that?... and you gotta try their Baked Halibut with Macadamia Nut crust, so creamy and flaky... you can thank me for the recommendation later, *wink*!

You can tell this is a one-of-a-kind place because the service was so personable.  They really seemed to care that we had everything we needed, and made sure my boyfriend's dad had everything first, since we came here to celebrate Father's Day.  They even brought him a special spumoni ice-cream cup at the end.  :)

I wasn't crazy about the dish I got (Sausage and Spinach) because the lemon juice made the spinach super salty, but the pasta dishes (from everyone's else's plates :P) were REALLY good!

Two of my favorites were the Fettucine Carusso, and Joe A.'s plate of bowtie pasta (see Mark A.'s and my photos cuz I can't remember the name of it!  :P).  I would come back here for the bowtie one!  :)  It's a bit pricey, but worth it if you're tired of the fancy chain restaurants and want some good tastes. :)

In my honest opinion, D'Antonio's Ristorante seems to be one of those hidden treasures that's worth checking out. Our family came here to celebrate an "Early-Father's Day" dinner since we all know Father's Day was going to be jammed packed at the restaurants all over SoCal. The recommendation came from my brother's girlfriend (props to you K.B.) and I have to say D'Antonio's was well worth the visit. If you want something "different" than your normal-everyday Romano's/Olive Garden/Johnny Carino's, come here.

-=Basics=-
Location: They're located on N. Diamond Bar Blvd along the 57 freeway, between the Midas and Acapulco. If you go past the bowling alley, you've gone too far! :P

Prices/Portions: $$-$$$ prices fall in between $13 up to $36 per entree, depending on what you order. Some entrees have the option for 1/2 size or full size with a few dollars difference. The full size is worth it if you want to your guests to sample your entree or if you want to take the leftovers home.

-=What we ate=-
Appetizers: We tried the calamari, simply awesome! Very tender, not chewy. Squid rings if you will call it, and comes with tasty marinara sauce. They also have some great garlic cheese bread. It reminds me of Sizzler's cheese toast, except it's not on toast (but french bread?), and it has a garlic twist to it (just right, not strong at all... because you don't want to be hording off Vampires!). I had myself a starter salad- Caesars... I think this is where they lose the 5-stars because the dressing seemed to be non-existent, haha! Maybe they'll do it better next time! ;)

Entrees: I opted for the Sausage and Peppers- a "Meatlover's delight" as the menu describes it... "thick slices of grilled sausage, bell peppers, onions in a full-bodied meat sauce w/ generous chunks of pork and veal"... All that over spaghetti noodles! This was pretty damn awesome, definitely something that other Italian places don't have. Full of flavor, the veggies had a nice "snap" as you bit into them and the pasta was just right. This has easily become my favorite since it's meat in meat sauce with veggies. I don't think I could get tired of this dish.

The rest of the family opted for the following- Farfalle Prosciutto, Chicken Firenze (can't remember), the large "Special" pizza, Grilled Sausage w/ Spinach, and the Scampi. Yeah... I think that's right...

It was a pleasant experience, and it's worth coming back. So, if you're feeling Italian in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area and your typical places won't cut it... come to D'Antonio's.

Today, co-worker and I had lunch here.  Think the last time we came here was a year ago for another co-worker's birthday.

D'Antonio's has a huge lunch menu.  I ordered a salad and the capellini marinara and co-worker also ordered a salad and the lasagna for her entree.  All were delicious, but when I ordered my salad, I asked for the dressing on the side and it arrived tossed.  No big deal, but when I make a specific request, it'd be nice if it was taken, right?

Anyhoo, the plus side was that my iced tea was always full and the service was prompt.  A little on the pricey side for lunch, which is why co-worker and I only come here occassionally.

Nice place, well hidden in place such as Diamond Bar, where you mostly find corporate buildings and small office more than a selection of restaurants.  Good pastas, and appetizers specially their mushroom dish (appetizer), then i ordered their chicken lasagna, which i must say many italian/american restaurants dont make (usually meat more than chicken). I think the price is right what you get.  Their decor is very italian hommie with plaid table cloth and candles on the table.  Go see if, if you are in the area for business or something

I thought this restaurant is more authentic the lets say, "The olive garden". The soups are fantastic, so is the bread, and Marsala.
i recommend this restaurant.

My parents took my husband, me, and our daughter here for a Sunday night dinner. We were all exhausted from a long day after attending my husband's post-grad graduation. The day was very crazy and way too long for us all. We wanted a nice dinner, but we were looking for a place that was relaxing. We made reservations and everything was all set up and waiting for us. The place seemed kind of empty, but I have been here for lunch and know how crowded it can get. It was nice and dim, but yet just right for us all. I ordered veal parmigiana. It was excellent and tasted very good. We had the calamari and that was also very tasty. The calamari here looks like onion rings and is served with marinara sauce. All dinner come with soup or salad. I had the minestrone soup and it was the best I have ever had. It was rich and zesty and great with the parm cheese they put on the top. The veggies were fresh and over all it was very refreshing...just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I also had my leftovers today and they still tasted excellent. The portions are very big, so be prepared to take some food home. If you come here please don't miss out on the lemon cake. It is by far the best I have had. You can tell it is fresh and homemade! It is served chilled and the cake is very moist and the lemon filling is slightly frozen, but just right. It is very fresh, tasty, and tart. The top has white chocolate shavings and a big white chocolate leaf. Overall: this place is great...a little pricey, but the atmosphere is nice. A great place to get away from the noisy eateries.  This would make a great place for a date. I almost forgot to mention...our server was soooo friendly and attentive. I forgot her name...but she had red long curly hair...you could tell she was a good server. Service always makes something a plus. I would definitely go back!

Good food.... went there with large group... appetizers were served quickly and were good. Try the clams....
Ordered macadamia coated halibut... it took 45 minutes to arrive and was warm when I ate it.
Waitress kept reaching over me to refill my water glass.... she actually bumped me twice..
Overall decent place ... a bit pricey for what you get ...

Restrooms clean and they only serve beer and wine
