Once upon a time, there was a dead raccoon on the street near my house. It was there for many days, rotting and looking sad, and dead. But who to call? Where could I turn?

D & D Disposal Inc! After much searching (the sheer effort I put into finding their number is why D & D only gets four stars), I found their number on the County of San Diego website. If you see a dead animal on a county road, this is who to call. I called prepared to give plenty of info about the location of the raccoon, but the telephone operator didn't ask for much. In a couple of minutes, I was off the phone, and PRESTO! The next time I walked down my street, no more rotting corpse!

And everyone lived happily ever after, except the raccoon, because he didn't live at all.
