Honest, inexpensive, quick and convenient!

As I was researching where to get the brakes done on my car, I called a few places. Most wouldn't quote a price "per axle" (front or rear), for a basic standard brake job. D & D said: "$149 for pads, turning the rotors and installation." I think I found one other place that matched that number, but by that time I was sold on D & D's attitude and availability.

It was going to take about an hour, so in the meantime, I walked the 3 blocks to the HT Asian market by the Oaktree Cinema, ate lunch and shopped in that incredible place!

Quick take - great shop with helpful friendly mechanics.

One of the toughest things to find in a new city is a good mechanic.  Given  that most people don't know a whole lot about their vehicles, its pretty easy to get ripped off.  Even if you do know some things like I do, there are still plenty of ways for a skilled mechanic to pump up costs of simply things especially when it comes to brakes.  

Not so at D & D.  This place is run by two of the nicest mechanics I have ever met.  They identified everything that was going on with my brakes free of charge.  Best of all, they only replaced the parts I needed bringing my costs way.  At some places, I have had to insist on just replacing the one worn rotor, etc.  These guys did that right off the bat and really came across as though they wanted to keep my overall cost as low as possible.

In the end, I saved $250 and my brakes are working great.  Highly recommended.
