Yummy, inexpensive but high quality! the delivery was fast and the pizza was cheesy, the thin crust had a rustic style, absolutely perfect!

I also got the chicken parm and it was marvelous as well, the chicken was well seasoned and delicious. If you're craving classic Italian food this is a nice place to order from.

Eating a medium cheese right now.  Not bad, though it seems like it's missing something.  Also they stuffed a bigger pizza into a smaller box, so the crust is all folded around the edges.  Kinda strange, but I guess the guy on the phone said they had problems with our parking attendent before, so maybe they're taking it out on me.

Still, I'm practically inhaling this so it must be pretty good.

Great, East-Coast style, thin crust pizza. Perfect crust, sauce and high-quality ingredients.  I have had pizza worthy of some of my favorite NYC pizza places here at the Encino location and also at the Chatsworth location.  I have never had it delivered, I've only ate in or ordered and took home.

I'll venture D'amore's was responsible for a goodly portion of the weight I gained while working on Ventura.  Great crust.  Love that white pizza.  Lunch specials!  Saw Cuba Gooding Jr. here once.

I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with most of the other reviewers here.  I read all this hype about how D'amore's is the best in the valley, the best in LA, the best in California, and the best in the west.

Now I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Los Angeles is definitely not a Pizza town.  And given this tradition I've come never to expect greatness in a pie...and D'amore's is no different.

I think I've also been quoted as saying pizza is like sex...it's good even when it's bad.  I take it back.  I really hated D'amore's pizza.  We ordered the white pizza, figuring it would be a tasty treat.  Honestly it was like eating cardboard.  The crust was ridiculously dry and tasteless.  The cheese was bland, and the toppings just didn't mesh well together.  I was entirely unsatisfied with the taste...and considering we paid nearly $20.00 for a thin 18 inch pizza (which actually seemed much smaller than 18 inches) I felt robbed.

I'm going to give D'amore's two stars because the delivery guy was as courteous as any delivery guy I've ever met.  While customer service is a huge part of the experience, it just can't make up for a lackluster product.

As a tried and true foodie... it's all about the food.

This is the best pizza in the city. Each bite is a pleasure. Great sauce, perfect amount of cheese and very high quality, and the crust is very good. It brings in water from Boston and flour from Buffalo, N.Y. I go to Long Island alot, and there, a great pizza shop is every 20 blocks. This location  can compete with L.I.  .  Other location are just ok.

I think this is my second favorite of all the NY style thin crust magic I've tasted around Los Angeles. The first being Vito's. I like D'Amores. It's a tiny little shop with just a few ovens and a counter, a couple of tables on the inside, and a couple more on the outside patio area in the shopping center. A cheap slice of cheese or two later, and I'm satisfied for the evening. Their crust is very pleasant and has a little bit of an herby flavor. The marinara is one of my personal favorites, being a little on the herb happy side, but flavorful. The cheese is a nice quality. And that's what makes a savory slice of pie heaven. They're open until a decent hour, which gives them that little edge in the area. I definitely choose them over anyone else on the north side of town.

D'Amore's used to be one of my favorite spots for NY pizza in L.A, along with Mulberry Street and Robbie Mac's -- but now I'd opt for Robbie Mac's at Ventura & Van Nuys instead.

If you like NY style pizza, D'amore's is worth a try -- although I did have a really disappointing pie delivered recently (they offered the next one at half off to make up for it -- free would have been better business practice).  Thin, crispy crust, excellent tomato sauce (tangy but not too sweet), and fresh ingredients are the usual fare, but delivery can be slow (read: cold) and it is an expensive pizza.  Better to eat it there.

Start simply: a plain cheese or a simple combo like pepperoni & mushroom will get you off on the right foot.  I've tried all 3 locations in the SF Valley -- all are very good.

Best thin-crust in LA, in my humble opinion.  Really fresh ingredients, crust that's crispy-then-chewy (the magic that differentiates decent thin crust from the spectacular), and consistent quality.  Whenever my friends visit me and we're staying in to watch a game/DVD, they want me to order from here, which is saying a lot for out-of-towners to want pizza while visiting LA.  (note: there are a few D'amore's in the area- the Encino and Sherman Oaks location on Magnolia have seem to be more consistently awesome than others)

the thing that no one here has specified is the fact that this d'amore's pizza connection represents AUTHENTIC THIN CRUST STYLE PIZZA.

aren't you sick of hearing all of your east coast friends complain about how shitty the pizza around here is?? east coast kids, aren't you sick of complaining about how shitty the pizza around here is?

d'amore's is GOD'S GIFT to the authentic pizza lover because of one magical ingredient: water. gramma d'amore perfected her recipe by importing water from the family's hometown of boston (go red sox) and thus making the BEST (thin-crust) pizza in the city of LA, according to all of you out-of-towners.

seriously, d'amore's made me a believer. and god damnit, now i want some pizza.
