I got in a bike-on-bike collision and my bike started riding funny.  I originally took it to D&D in Berkley (search for D&D or go to my other reviews to read my whole story about them) and they said a bunch of things were bent and broken, and that it would cost $350+ to fix.  Right...

A friend recommended I check out Cycleworks and I'm sure glad I did!  They got back to me within a few hours of dropping off my bike to tell me that they found nothing broken or bent, just a couple things loose or misaligned.  They could take care of it all with their regular $50 tune-up.  I said GO FOR IT!

They had it ready for me the next day, earlier than when they said it would be done, to boot.  I went in to pick it up and had a nice little chat with the guy who I think might be the owner (?), who told me that he couldn't believe that the guys at the other store could keep a straight face when telling me it would be so expensive to fix (they actually told me this over the phone, so maybe they weren't keeping a straight face?).  He also told me that he "can not tell a lie," and that he's the "George Washington of bikes."  I believe it.  I took my bike out for a little spin before completing the transaction and it actually felt better than ever.  I was extremely satisfied with Cycleworks and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs help with a bike in the Metro Detroit area.

More generally, their store seems to be pretty conveniently located, it's pretty nice inside with a lot of bikes on display and a pretty open service area so you could potentially look over your bike with the technician comfortably.  The people I interacted with were all very nice and knowledgeable.

They also ensure all of their work for 30 days with receipt.  So if anything starts feeling weird again after they work on it, just bring it back in and they'll fix you right up.

Go here.  Don't go to D&D.
