My sister and her family were visiting and we wanted to order pizza. "It better not be bad pizza," they threatened.
I guaranteed them it would not be bad but also couldn't promise they'd be blown away.
They took a few bites and said "You're right".
I love love love this pizza!!!! Simply because it's the best cheese that i have ever had. You don't need anything else on it, just cheese, and you're set. the crust is thick and squishy, great with ranch... ooooooh... ranch (input simpons sound effects here). They deliver, you can pick up, or you can sit in their quaint little pizzeria. LOVE IT.
Makes me want to sing Amore!!!
It's not bad pizza like domino's or pizza hut, but it's not very impressive and a little expensive. I only order because it's so close to my house. They deliver and they are open late which seems to be rare in the Bay. Good enough, but, meh! I've experienced better.
3.5 stars
Rounding up because they deliver to the Oakland Hills and are open late. Perfect food to eat in an empty house with new plates from Target while enjoying the SF skyline.
Pizza was really garlicy (got the supreme)... not good for a first date, but perfect if you want to torture your dogs. The buttery garlic bread gave me pimples but was very tasty. Will probably end up ordering from here again but only because it's open late and I'm too drunk to drive down those crazy Oakland hills streets.
Good deal for the slice, salad, and soda. A "slice" is enough for a meal and a half.
Crust is partially crunchy like I like it. Pizza is pretty standard though, nothing noteworthy. It smells like pizza and pine-sol inside the joint itself. Mmmmmm, pine-sol.
The pizza here is pretty OK. I'm a Noo Yawker, so it's very hard to please me pizza-wise. My main quibble is that the place gets really busy and it can take up to 90 minutes to get the dern thing delivered.
Try the spinach/chicken/feta pie.
i grew up eating here, and i've gone here once recently since i've been yelpin'. fortunately, it's the same as it ever was.
it's amazing how some places do not lose its touch. we need more mom and pop places like this to remind you of the good ol' days.
i love you and miss you cybelle's. come to me! you won't regret it!
cybelles pizza is a pizza joint that i grew up on in montclair. Ever since they changed ownership in the late 1990's there pizza has been tasting like a sponge thats been marinating in cheap marina sauce all night. The cheese is very bland and the crust is to moist, wich causes serious blockage in the rear
area of your gut.The girls who work there are very happy and energetic and they are all friendly. The Cybelles on piedmont ave. is much better then the montclair location.
Despite the fact that the girl seemed to have trouble with my order, the pizza itself was quite good. Not the best I have ever had, but certainly better than the chain sort that is cheap...and shows it!
We got pepperoni with Pesto instead of red sauce, a rather
tasty combo. Also, it was fast and hot, that's a good start, right?
My boyfriend took me here and it was great--the staff were friendly and they made sure that our orders were hot out of the oven. It has this family feel when you come in! The pizza was nice and hot with its crispy crust and the cheese melted to perfection! Love it!
I've only ordered delivery from here, but they make a good pie. It isn't Zachary's, but what is?
The kitchen sink and the pesto pizzas are very tasty. You can't go wrong ordering by the slice; it is more like a small pizza.
We live in Montclair and have been coming to Cybelle's Pizza and using a coupon for years. What seems to be a family owned franchise (they seem to only hire Asians to work there) is missing the warmth of a mom and pop local restaurant. First of all, nobody ever thanks me for my business or recognizes me....and we take out 1-2 times a month. Secondly, they just miss basic manners. I was there tonight picking up a humongous pizza. I was the only customer in the shop. There were six employees at least working there. 3-4 of the guys took advantage of a slow moment and were watching the TV. It would have been gracious and appreciative of my business to have opened the door for me since clearly I did not have a free hand. One time one of the grumpy guys....he is ALWAYS grumpy....actually went out the door the same time as me and did NOT have the basic manners to keep the door open for me. Who needs that? My husband suggests I try Red Boy in the Glenview district next time. Times are tough and it takes only a second to let your customer know that you appreciate their business.....which enables you to keep your job!
Very good pizza, nice employees, delivery is always quick. It is actually in Montclair not piedmont
This place should not be charging so much for bland pizza.
