This is a decent CVS that has, for the most part, been generally well-stocked.  In particular, they seem to have a good amount of stuff left over after holidays, so that's always a plus (discount candy is always good to have around).  Furthermore, they've got the little things in case I don't want to go over to Shaw's or Whole Foods, and just want to make a quick trip out (9 times out of 10, this in some way involves Cheerios).

I hate this CVS. I will give it the facts that for a DTX shop:

1.) It's somewhat more clean
2.) It doesn't smell like pee
3.) It looks like many other CVS's so I don't feel like I've stepped into a time-warp, thankfully.

It is pretty big so you'd think that I'd always find a lot of things for choice but strangely, although it's big, I never seen to easily find what I want here! They either don't have it or I can't find it. Plus, although I've read in some other reviews here that the staff is friendly, personally I've not had such luck - they've never been impolite or rude, but never been helpful either. The few times I asked for directions to something I couldn't find they'd point me in a general hand-wave which didn't help, or they were too busy chatting to each other or distracted by something else to help me. Which, when you're in a bit of a rush on a lunchbreak, sucks.

I think I just have bad luck here since other people seemed to have fared better than me here. But usually, I'm better off going to the one in Chinatown or the one near Govt Ctr (whichever direction I'm going towards). I just can't help but agree with Jillian Y - this place just feels so soulless, even more so than other CVS-es if possible. Me no likey.

The New Job Chronicles: Part 7 (+/-2).  CVS on Washington Street...

Disclaimer: If you read my other CVS review for Summer Street... erh.. you might notice some similarities.  We'll just say it's deja vu and get on with our lives though, eh?

What's there to be said about CVS?  Yes, I love me some Consumer Value Store action ( HA! I bet you didn't know that's what CVS stands for! What a loser.  I mean *cough* hey friend, keep reading ).  [author's note: That
was just too good to throw out, so yes it's in both reviews]

Again, this review will be a little shorter than my normal reviews.  This CVS has it all over that sloppy mess on Milk Street.  It's bigger, better spacing, better lighting, better AC, happier and friendly staff, and it's
easier to navigate.  TAKE THAT SUMMER STREET CVS!

So if/when I need to go to CVS again during the work day, I'll be visiting

Washington Street.

Menu Selection: Very Good
Price: Good
Value: Good
Cleanliness: Very Good
Staff: Very Good
Parking: N/A
Overall: Yes, I will go here again

Great selection, but...

This CVS just lacks soul.  It is soulless.  It is a soulless CVS.

Thank the good lord they have closed the horrid CVS at 340 Washington Street and opened up a brand new location right down the street.

Downtown Crossing has a few CVS' but this is by far the best. Clean, spacious, and a wicked friendly staff.

And when I find a store that does NOT smell like urine anywhere in Downtown Crossing, well, that's easily 5 stars.

WHO NEEDS COUGH DROPS!?

this cvs is a huge improvement over what was there.  big in size.  lots of products.  decent beauty selection (because honestly, i can't seem to ever walk out without a new lipstick or nailpolish)  it still doesn't quite beat the one right by my office, but it's another step towards making dtxing a little better.

i agree though with jillian.  it is a soulless cvs.  or maybe tht's because everyone who is in there is soulless.
