Curtis Memorial Library
2 reviews for Curtis Memorial Library
When I first stepped into this library, I was surprised at how nice it is. It's pretty fancy schmancy with all of the technology, books and dvds that a town like Brunswick would need.
As Anna said, there's tons of community involvement and I remember there being cool paper mache animals that local children had made the summer that I was tutoring here. Totally cool, friendly and welcoming environment. Even if you have access to Bowdoin's libraries, this place is totally a treat.
For a town, this library sure is well-equipped! There's a great kid's section with fun activities; decent computer terminals; and a good book collection. What I love are all the events for the community that range from storytelling to music to local artist gigs. The librarians are very helpful and friendly, as well. This is what I picture all town libraries as being. I suppose it helps that Bowdoin is right there, giving this town a literary small college feel.
