I've been to the Curtis House a few times. Its a nice place.
It is housed in an old Inn (i think it still is a functioning Inn). Technically, I think the name of this restaurant is Curtis House Inn.
Inside, the setting is old (like colonial periods not 1970s...a nice old). Nothing too fancy. Privacy...not a whole lot. Kind of reminds me of a grandmas dining room.
They have this really good deal where you can have soup, salad, main course, coffee, and desert for one price.. i think 20-25 bucks depending on the main course. You cant beat it. It will fill you up. Desserts are good.
Its in a nice area of Woodbury (main road through town). Parking is right in front (or back). Cleanliness isn't an issue.
This really isn't a place to bring a first date if you are young. (they might think you are boring or something). But once you have been dating..this is a great place...and this is good for families as well. I see kids there from time to time..so thats not an issue.

Oh how I want to love this place. The building is the center of Woodbury. It's cozy and the perfect place to bring out of town guests and family groups. They offer the prix fixe option and senior dinners, so it's nice to be able to treat the more frugal, who might not order coffee and desert.
I love good old-fashioned frumpy New England food, Durgin-Park style. But oh Curtis House...show some LOVE. CARE about what you do. The food ranges from eh, to OK, to pretty good. But it could be GREAT. I veered between stars on this. As it is a lovely treasure. I just want it to do better.
Been to the pub downstairs twice. Fun, easy-going. Again, the food could be just that bit better and I'd be a regular and would have more to say.
Haven't been here in over three years but we loved this place when we lived in the area. Nice for special occasions but not over the top. Food was good ole fashioned comfort food.
