Here is a resturaunt I could patronize for the rest of my life. The quality of food in amazing. The first few times visiting Curry & More I would order the typical items like Chicken Tikka Masala  but then got more adventurous and fell in love with their lamb curries. Now I typically order the Kashmiri Roganjosh (lamb curry dish). Another lamb curry favorite of mine is the Bhuna Gosht which is their best lamb curry on the menu.

If lamb isn't your thing then I highly recommend the Kofta Curry (angus beef meat balls). They serve that dish either with marsala, vindaloo, korma, or makhni gravy. The Chicken Tikka is also incredible. They bring the Chicken Tikka sizzling of the grill so it's always fresh and delicous. As I mentioned earlier I would order the Chicken Tikka Masala which is also a good choice. I like spicy curries so I usually go with curries that are spicier than Masala.

Each dinner item comes with two sides. I usually order the Saffron Pulao (rice) and Garlic Nann.  Other good sides are the Daal (curried lentils)  or the Raita (yoghurt).

The Bikaneri Samosas and the Tandoori Wings make wonderful appetizers. Probably the best Samosas I ever had. The Goat Cheese Kulcha Nann (Nann stuffed with Goat Cheese) is amazing and could make a good appetizer or even compliment any meal.

Try this place out if you're in the North County San Diego area or happen to pass the area.

I read all the reviews on Yelp, which is what brought me here.  After pouring over the five star reviews, and wondering when a decent Indian restaurant would pop up in North County, I ended up suggesting to a friend that we try this little place in San Marcos.

I am SO glad we did.  In the last few years, I have tried both Passage to India (in Rancho Bernardo) and India Princess (in San Marcos), and I ended up ill from eating at both of them.  Since that time, I have tried a few other unmemorable Indian restaurants in San Diego county, and until eating at Curry and More, had given up on the idea that we would be able to have decent Indian food anywhere in my vicinity.  Not anymore!

My beef with Passage to India and India Princess is the grease level.  I seriously left both of those restaurants (on separate occasions-- I didn't eat at both places in the same night!) absolutely sick to my stomach, and it wasn't because I gorged on the food.  Curry and More makes up for this issue entirely.  I got a delicious, colorful, spice-filled, rich, and large meal, and I left feeling satisfied, with no unfortunate side effects.

The samosas were good and fresh, not too greasy from the frying.  The lentil daal was delicious.  The paneer makhni was superb.  I appreciate the "spice level" options, and was pleased with getting a level "5" (rated on a 1-10 spicy level)... I think I could handle a 6 or 7 just fine, because I like my food spicy.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and I loved that the wait staff was attentive without interrupting my dinner with a friend.  Overall, this was a superb dining experience.  I look forward to coming back again and adding another star to this rating.

I've come here a couple more times after the naan incident, since I love their food too much. I can't control the cravings.

I haven't seen anything nasty since, so that's good!

The reason for the lack of 5-stars is that their service is a hit or miss. One night you might get perfect service, while other nights its the worst service you've ever received.

The spicy level is also inconsistent. If you order a 9 spicy, its not really that spicy. But if you order a 10, it's super spicy, which I love. So after ordering from this place over a dozen times, I've nailed the spicy level to really 3 levels. A 0-4 is low spicy, a 5-9 is  spicy, and a 10 is VERY spicy. I think it's because you reach a threshold.  If you order a 9, the chef thinks you're a lil scared because you didn't say 10, so they chicken out a tad on the spicyness. So the greatest difference in spiciness is definitely the 9 and 10.

The food is super delicious. Service is a hit or miss, spicy level is inconsistent. Overall, I love this place and the naan incident didn't scare me away.

I think their dinner portions got bigger too.

Curry & More is without a doubt the BEST Indian food I've ever eaten, even when taking into account home-cooked. I would recommend something in particular on the menu, but EVERYTHING is excellent!  The menu is extremely diverse and includes lots of seafood choices. They will give you a choice of spiciness on a scale of 1-10. I like things spicy, but a 4-5 does it for me. If you can't handle spicy, stick with a 1. The service is always friendly and prompt.  I highly recommend Curry & More!!!

I am in love!!! This was my 2nd experience with Indian food and I was NOT dissapointed one bit.  the service was exceptional and the food was extremly flavorful with just the right texture, sause and  of course spices. My favorite was the Chickn korma - the spelling is not correct.

Cant give it anything below 5 stars.

I have been here on my way to san diego and ordered 3 spicy dishes. I dont remember what I ordered but this was the best food I had in 2-3 months. I told the owner-manager that I wanted spicy and I got real spicy. (I eat highest grade spicy)

I definitely recommend anybody passing by or living around to taste their menu. You can complement my review if you agree you had awesome food. :)

I think Curry & More was a great addition to the plethora of restaurants in San Marcos. They have great lunch specials and good sized portions. I never can finish it all and usually have some to take home. Being vegetarian, they have a lot of great options/dishes available. I like to think I can handle the spiciest of things, but I've definitely learned my spice limits. When you order your food a 10 the it's REALLY a 10. Haha.  That being said I do love that, even if my nose is running a little from it, I love spicy food.

don't let the name fool you, this is actually pretty good Indian food.

They are pretty spot on with the heat-number system. The garlic basil naan = very good.

I would like them to serve more chutneys in the dining room. If you order takeout, they often include chutneys, but they don't regularly serve them with dine-in meals.

waters are refilled quickly and often. Servers have always been super nice and quick to help.

I overheard someone asking about their BYOB service, and I think they said they have a $15 open fee, but that's just what I overheard, so take that for what it is.

We LOVE this place. The food is to DIE for and you get a ton of it.

As a vegetarian, food options are a little limited sometimes, so it's a real treat when you find a great restaurant with a lot of delicious options. My boyfriend eats meat and really enjoys the food here, too. This is one place we never have trouble agreeing on when deciding to eat out.

I've had several dishes with cheese and enjoy both eating at the restaurant and eating my leftovers at home the next day. The side dishes you get with your meal real round out the whole experience. (Also, try the lassi!)

Additionally, watching the chefs in action behind the glass is really neat. Every once any a while a big flame will catch your eye.

Food here is very good, filling and tasty.  I've only done take out but the staff/service is friendly and fast.  The owner recommended the dish Murg Saag and it has become my favorite dish.  I order it when ever I need a curry fix.  The Garlic-Basil Naan is not only garlicky just enough, the dough is not tough.  It's fluffy and tasty.  My daughter loves the Chicken Tikka Masala and we both enjoy the Chicken Pakoras.  Definitely an Indian bistro I recommend to my friends.

This place was great! The decor was good, nice service. Walked in on a Friday around 7 and sat immediately. I ordered the lamb chops and my boyfriend got chicken tikka masala. The lamb was so good, melting off the bone. The chicken wasn't as good as the lamb, but only because the lamb was so good.
The server said people don't usually order the lamb, that it was more of a special occaision. Maybe becuase it's $18, a little bit more than the other entrees, but it was plenty of food and really good. We both got potatos and naan on the side. My boyfriend got a mango lassi to drink, I had some wine.
I'm excited to go back and try some more dishes. I don't get out to San Marcos much, but always excited to find a good Indian place.

The food here is amazing. I love this place. I first came here abut a month ago, and I've been here 7 times since. I've even been here twice in one day. I'm addicted.

This place is great for lunch. $10 gets you tons of food.

This place is great for takeout.

The owner is always walking around which I think is a major plus. There was an issue with our order once, and he surprised us with a free appetizer. Clearly, he's concerned about his customers.

Try the garlic and basil naan... It's worth the $1 charge.

It doesn't look like much on the outside, but I really can't say enough good things about this experience.

Wait staff: attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Waiter made a great suggestion for our kids dinner (we split a Murg Malai Tikka between two young boys), they ate it up!

Ambiance: Nice, tastefully decorated, you don't have to dress particularly nice here, but you also wouldn't feel out of place wearing your finer clothes.

Menu: A full selection of typical Indian dishes, plus a couple I had not seen before. Always exciting!

Food: Excellent. Everyone at the table enjoyed everything. Saag Paneer was very satisfying, I asked for spice level 5 out of 10, it was perfect for me. I was able to enjoy every bite, but was sweating and had a sniffly nose by the end. Potatoes, naan, daal and raihta were all quite good. We had an appetizer of Pakoras (the spinach/onion, not the chicken), probably the best pakoras I've ever had. I ate a lot of Indian food when I lived in San Francisco, so the bar is set fairly high.
Dessert was awesome, Indian ice cream and gulab jamun(sp?).
House cab was completely drinkable, although I didn't enjoy the combination of cabernet plus saag paneer. Maybe a merlot or shiraz would be better? Or just don't have the wine until done with the spinach.

We will go again, we will bring friends and family here.

Following the advice of other Yelpers I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. WOW lots of food for $9. And yes the naan is delicious. I wish I knew about this place when I was a student.

One note, the spicy scale is slanted towards the spicy side.  I like a little spice in my food, so I ordered a three and it was really hot for me.

This is a great value restaurant and can't wait to try more of their great food.

Still a solid fan of this establishment.

Unlike another yelper mentioned, I didn't feel unwelcomed with my 1.5 year old son.  The only table that was available was in the back so we sat there.  They quickly brought over a highchair for us.  This table is weird though.  There's a wall high enough where you almost feel like you are separated from the rest of the restaurant.  That's good if you want to be separated, but I felt our servers kept forgetting about us- not on purpose though.  It's just the setup.  However, at the end of dinner, the owners both came over and talked to us for a bit.

This time, I ordered the Mahi Mahi Tiki.  Very satisfying.  My husband ordered the Chicken Vinadaloo.  Both were delicious.  We also had an appetizer, Bikaneri Samosa.

    I'm a fan of this place. :)

Driving by this shopping center recently I noticed a new restaurant - Curry and More and said to my hubby "We should try that" so when in the area again a few weeks later we did - and man are we happy we did!

People were super nice! It was a bit chilly inside for me, so we sat outside (love that it's an option!) and had a great, affordable lunch.  I had the Chicken Makai Tikki which was DELICIOUS and he had the Chicken Curry at a 10 spice level which the waiter suggested would make it similar to a Vindaloo which is his favorite.  Both dishes were great and came with lots of sides.  The rice was really good and my husband really loved the lentils as well.

    We'll definitely be back!

I had been craving indian food for weeks. So finally I dragged by boyfriend with me. We walking in on a slow Wednesday afternoon. I almost thought they were closed, no one was parked in front of them and there was no OPEN sign. We tried our luck and yanked on the door, and it opened!

We were greeted by a few people at the door, since it was slow they seemed happy to talk to people. We sat towards the back and started deciding on what to eat. I picked the Chicken Vandaloo and my boyfriend picked the Fish masala. The waitress asked us what level we wanted, from 1-10 I decided on a 7, she said "OOHHH are you sure its REALLY spicy!" So I settled on a 6. We also chose some calamari to start us off with.

When the calamari came to our table it also brought a long 3 dipping sauces. One was a cilantro/minty sauce, the second was a orange spicy one and the last one tasted like mustard. I loved the first 2. When our entrees came by I was ready for some spice! I took a few pites and then thanked my lucky stars I went with a 6. The sauce was SPICE-EEEYYY. I eat spice almost every day and am not satisfied if there isn't a bit of heat, but when I tried this I got chills! Has that ever happened to you? You start getting the chills up and down your body but you aren't cold? You feel warm? Well thats how I felt. In a good way though, because I kept eating and loved every minute of it.

If you love Indian food and live in San Marcos, you have to come to this place! It will not disappoint.

Everything is made to go quickly and is consistently good. I love that there is always parking close to the restaurant. I'll admit I'm not an expert on Indian food, but this place was VERY good. As I was scouting places in the area to eat through my trusty Yelp app, I spotted this place.

My friend and I stopped in here for a late lunch. From the outside you'd never think it was as nice as it was on the inside. Love the dark wood furniture and decor.

Aside from the personal aesthetic appeal of the place, the food was very good as well. We ordered the tilapia cheddar puffs as an appetizer, chicken tikka masala and chicken vindaloo as entrees. The presentation of the food was an added bonus to its tastiness. The tilapia cheddar puffs came out with 3 different kinds of sauces that ranged from mild to HOT (some habanero sauce that I literally was coughing from spice after just tasting some residue of it from my fork). When our entress came out, I was pleasantly surprised to see the small side salad on our plates. The amount of food was incredibly generous where I was left with some to take home.

Although a bit on the pricey side, you're definitely paying for quality, portion and atmosphere.

I have been here a couple of times and had a pleasant experience each time except recently. I give this rating on their food (except for my recent dish) because the service is so-so. This last time I was tricked (not really the waiter's fault, I should have went with my instincts and gotten the Tandoori Chicken) into ordering the Frontier Boti kebob, which is a beef dish. They asked me how I wanted my meat cooked and I said medium rare. When the food came back it was well-done. The meat both times war really tough and the flavors were just ok. So, I told them that I ordered it medium rare and then they brought it back rare. Stick to chicken or lamb.

    Here are my recommendations:

Chicken Tikka Masala - excellent dish, nice and creamy that cuts the heat

Nalli Gosht Lamb Shank - I had this last time and then we ordered it again. This is by far my favorite dish here

Chicken Biryani - if you have not has biryani before it might be best to go with a curry instead

Keema Kulcha - we order this every time because it is so good! I love it

I've been to Curry & More twice now and have really enjoyed the dining experiences. Both visits the food was excellent (Chicken Tikka Masala) and speedily served. Dinner is a bit expensive but at lunch time there are great meal deals! Be careful with how spicy you request your food, though because these cooks aren't shy about spicing things up. For me, a 5 or 6 out of 10 is the perfect amount of spice.

The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The decor is sparse but effective as the space is a bit small and too much authentic decor would be overwhelming. As it is, the space is well used and simply decorated, making the restaurant's atmosphere pleasant.

I am a major fan of the food, but my reason for only giving 4 stars was the service. Yes, my friends and I were seated almost immediately. Yes, we got out drinks and food in a timely manner. Yes, everything was acceptable. My issue was the personableness of our server(s). It isn't enough to just do your job well, I feel servers need to be pleasant too. They were not rude or inattentive to our needs, they simply weren't personable at all. But, as I always try to treat servers respectfully, if they're not the nicest of people, I simply assume their cat died or something and they're having a bad day because of it. Everyone had bad days.

Anyway, I would definitely recommend Curry & More and I will definitely be going back soon!

Service on the other hand needs work.  It seems to get worse and worse every time I revisit with people.  I am happy to support a family run establishment with food this good, but you've gotta make a decent effort on the basics.  Get people our drink orders in a reasonable time at the very least.  Service gets 2 stars from me.

Two stars perfectly describes how I feel about Curry & More. "Meh. I've experienced better."

Oh I long for the days of Boston Indian food. India Quality & Bhindi Bizarre I miss you more than you know.

I ordered a lunch special today. It's my favorite way of trying out a restaurant to go to for dinner later. Wow. I did not like it much at all.

For a detailed review... read on:

#1--- They should pay less attention to the decor (which was lovely) & more attention to the quality of food they prepare.

I ordered the Chicken Awadi Korma. It came with "greens" rice, naan, & a thick potato curry and a bowl of soup.

The chicken was white meat tikka in the worlds thinnest curry sauce. I've eaten many many curries & a lot of Korma/variations of Korma & I have never had it be thinner than soup. It was the consistency of whole milk. Not even cream. Does the word Awadi mean "soup"??? I don't know. But that was the result I got.

The Korma had no spice to it at all. No zip. I asked, when ordering, how spicy it is normally prepared & was told "5 that's where it starts to get spicy". I ordered a 4 and it was anti-spice. Given some of the spice reviews I thought 4 would have a tiny bit of heat to it at least.

Update: I asked an Indian friend what Awadi means. It's a region. I asked "Ok. Is all the food there very thin and soupy?" He said "No. Not really." Then I asked if it was normal for any Korma to be this thin since I'd never had one before. I at least gave them the benefit of the doubt that the problem *could* be on my end. Like how people who don't eat authentic chinese food think that Panda Express is normal & quality and then eat something actually originating in China & get all pissy. But no. He said "That's not normal at all. Korma shouldn't ever be thin like that. I guess they just did it wrong." That settles that. (Read the update below!)

The potato curry was nice. Not spectacular but pretty good. The greens were laughable. It contained mixed greens and some tomato, 2 pieces of which had little to no pink and were green. I didn't expect the "greens" to involve the tomato. There was probably some kind of dressing on it but since they put all of this food except the soup into the same to-go container and the soupy korma leaked into everything so I will never know if there was any dressing.

The rice was normal. Since the soupy korma leaked into it too I can't really say how great it was. It seemed puffier and moister than I'm used to, but that could *easily* just be the soupy korma soaking into it.

The legitimate soup (much thicker than the Korma hahaha) was pretty good. A bit hot. No great depth of flavor or anything.

The Naan was so-so. I swear to god that the Naan from Trader Joes when baked in the oven is better though. Most of the naan I've encountered at restaurants, even to-go, has been crispy, rich and delicious. This was pretty plain.

For $9 dollars I've had better deals. There were lots of sides but none of them were great. I've never been given such a small portion of rice. I know how much Basmati rice costs when it is top quality & organic even- there's no reason for them to be miserly with rice. The portion of the chicken wasn't bad, but given the horrible soupy consistency there wasn't much to be enjoyed with it. It said there was to be cashews on top with almonds but unless they were finely ground I had no indication of them- just slivers of almonds. I've experienced Korma to be rich, flavorful cashew-y & thick so this was really a disappointment.

So I called as I was writing this review. I said I had a question about my order. I asked "Is the Korma normally as thin as milk or did the chef had a bad day? I've ordered a lot of Korma & I've never had it thin like this before" He said "The Korma is thin. That's how they serve it here." I replied "Oh. That's a shame." and silence trailed me. After a few seconds he said "Sorry." So replied "I understand. Bye."

Honestly... if you are interested in good Indian food- this isn't it. I've eaten Indian at several locations on the east coast & the west coast (although more north like around Portland, OR) & I can only think of one experience that was as bad.

If you've never had anything better then you probably won't know what you are missing out on. I'll try the other two places in the area & some places down in San Diego and figure out if there's a better option and update my review in the future.

!!! Newest Update !!! --- 1 hour ago someone from the business called me about my experience. They explained that the Korma is from the Awadi region and that the area's recipes do result in a much thinner sauce and it is intended to be quite liquid-y. He also said cashews should have been there. He offered to make a thicker Korma for me if I wanted it so I will give it another shot and adjust my review. And my friend was clearly wrong- the area *does* traditionally do thinner sauces!!!

One of the gems of San Marcos.  C&M has a wide variety of curries--chicken, lamb, seafood, and vegetarian.  For dinner, each curry you choose comes with 2 sides of your choice (I recommend either the naan, rice, or potatoes).  You can also select how spicy you want your curries to be from a scale of 0-10.  I've yet to see anyone order higher than a 5 and have their stomach handle it the next day, but YMMV.

Although the chicken tikka masala is my go-to at any other Indian restaurant, at C&M it is more tomato-y than creamy.  If you're looking for something creamy, choose the Murg Awadi Korma.  If you're a fan of lamb, try the Kashmiri Roganjosh--superbly tender meat with each bite!

My only complaints are that the naan is just so-so (Punjabi Tandoor still has the best naan I've ever tasted), service is a wee slow, the waiters often forgot our drinks...and the food kept us awake!  Seriously!  At first I thought it was the masala chai (I'm somewhat sensitive to black tea), but my friend who had no tea also had trouble sleeping.  Might have been the spices in the curries...?

I really enjoyed my meal.  I came here for lunch and was presented their "lunch" menu.  I ordered the chicken tikka masala combo for $9 with lentils, rice, spiced potato, and naan.  I ordered an additional naan not knowing what the size would be.

I can recommend the dish.  The chicken was tender and the sauce was rich and creamy with a tomato base.

Portion--Excellent for lunch the naan too was quite large and arrived hot no need for an additional naan if you are dining alone

Taste-- Very good complex flavors and spice.  Unless you like a lot of heat I recommend ordering a spice level "5" on a scale of 1-10

Service--The restaurant was pretty quiet when I arrived at 2:30 pm and I was tended to quickly however I cannot speak to how it may be when busy during a dinner service

Decor/Atmosphere-- The restaurant seemed clean and comfortable I was seated at a table right next to a show window displaying the kitchen with the cooks at work which I think is a nice touch

Overall, would I return? Absolutely but only for lunch as the lunch portion is more then enough for one and a better value then dinner

Incidentally, when I had finished my meal I was presented the bill for my meal in which they charged me the dinner prices for what I ordered.  i drew it to a servers attention I had been presented with the lunch menu upon arrival and had ordered from it.  The "mistake" was corrected promptly at least I hope it was a mistake and not an attempt at dishonesty  *minus one star for that however I will return for lunch and solidly recommend this restaurant to all who enjoy Indian cuisine whether they be new to the cuisine or enjoy it regularly.

    Great place for indian:

    - Authentic dishes
    - quality food made with quality products
    - Lots of food (lunch special includes rice, naan, soup, and main dish)
    - cheap!!

I eat lots of Indian food, I cook Indian food, I have an Indian girlfriend who I often eat at her family's house, and have many Indian friends who cook very well.  Short of being Indian, I'm as Indian as can be for a white boy.  I know my Indian food...

This place is good stuff.  Punjabi Tandoor was my top rating, but they dropped off over the last year or so.  This place is up there with Himalayan cuisine (another indian restaurant in La Mesa)

Food of India is my weakness; the 'Achilles Heal' of my dietary goals. I'm a total sucker for Saag Paneer, Lamb Makhani, fresh-baked Naan, Curried Veggies, Chicken Vindaloo, Pakoda, et all. It's one of only two food categories which causes my complete loss of self-control and discernment, the other being raw fish and rice. I'm warning you; I'll eat till I puke, if there's no one to stop me.

Curry & More, I've read your reviews; I know what you're about. You're the arch-nemesis in my struggle for moderation, the dreaded enemy of "I've had enough".

I first encountered Curry & More as I was embarking on my roadway journey to Colorado. I planned the route so that I would face my foe, and having tasted victory (along with many other wonderful flavors,) I would be able to make it to Vegas satisfied, but not in a food coma; there were far to many enemies waiting for me in Sin City. The battle didn't go as planned; I had fallen into the grip of spiced narcissism... and was loving it! I exposed the joint in my armor, and my appetite took the upper hand.

As I was seated and handed the menu, the aroma immediately left me powerless to defend myself. I could hear the Sirens call. I knew this was going to hurt. There were so many wonderful things to consume; I just couldn't help myself! I had to have an order of cinnamony Saag and I certainly wouldn't go without the Garam-Masala-goddess, Makhani, an extra order of supple Naan, and of course a serving of riatta and tamarind chutney to go with the Papadum. Uhg! Then the Curried Lamb dealt the final blow; all hope of leaving with even the slightest semblance of will power was gone. Surrender never tasted so good!

How I wished this would never end. Having all the weapons of my defeat brought to me by a beautiful Indian woman only confirmed that this was a battle I would have to fight again... and again... and again.

Did they see me last name and make the food immediately inedibly hot?  I ordered a 5 on the heat level.  I'm from Sri Lanka and can handle hot food but this was ridiculous!  I thought I was going to die!

Also be careful!  If you don't order rice separately, you don't get any!!

Four and 1/2 Stars, rounding up to Five.
    Here's why:

    The food: Phenomenal
I've had Indian food from all over the U.S. (so while not an expert, as I've yet to eat it in India), I've got very high standards for Indian food. My Aloo Gohbi was the best I've ever had. My husband declared his curry to be the best he's had as well. We were both very impressed with the experience and plan to be regulars.

    Highlights:
    - The vegetables in our entrees were amazingly fresh and well-prepared. Still crisp-tender....no mushy vegetables here!

    - Outstanding value for your money. Each entree comes with two large sides and a really fresh mixed green salad with a light, but flavorful, dressing. Another bonus is that you're able to select the 2 sides from 5 different options.

    - The pakoras, though fried, were still fresh. Came with 3 types of chutneys, all of which were tasty. - Though in my experience the mint chutney is normally vegan, and this one seemed to contain yogurt. As a vegan. I will have to avoid that one in the future, which is a bummer because it's normally my favorite.

    - Cute, modern little place with no pretense.

The service was fine. They were prompt on taking our orders and our food came out very quickly. The appetizers arrived within 2 minutes of ordering them! Not much in exchanging of the pleasantries, though. That's OK. I came for the food.

A couple of minor, minor issues would be where I would give a 4.5 rating in lieu of a 5.

    - The garlic naan was good, but it lacked the wow-factor of some of the other Indian places I've frequented. Please don't mistake that for "bad". It was fine. Just more of a 3-star fine.

    -  The mint chutney, as I mentioned, wasn't vegan. If you're not vegan (and most of you reading this probably aren't), then you won't have an issue with it.

Also worth noting - if you like your food spicy, then you really need to convey that. They ask you to define the level of heat you want on a 1-10 scale. I think this has been spiced-down for the mainstream, so if you like your food hot, then you should probably order a 9 or 10. I ordered a 4, and it was the equivalent of a 1 in every other Indian place I've gone. This isn't a complaint, it's just worth noting so that you can make the proper adjustments.

Overall, a really great experience with fantastic food.

A great place for good Indian food. Be careful how hot you want your food. I ordered 7 and was sweating bullets.
The service is good and friendly. The only thing that bugged me was the interior, which could be so much better. Please make it more cozy.

Very good Indian food, friendly service, and a good selection of vegetarian dishes.  The portions are generous for the price.  My one complaint is I paid in cash.  The waiter assumed my change was the tip.  It wasn't an outrageous assumption but it also wasn't a fair one.  I'll probably be back but will pay by credit card.

Wow, Curry & More I cant speek highly enough about them. First beautiful location, Its in a brand new place and man does it look amazing. food quality is out of this world and the portions are amazing, my girlfriend and I had to take almost half home. The kabobs are great and the onions and bell pepers have some sause on them thats just amazing. Cost is great for size and quality, and the waiters are there when you need water or drinks but invisible when you're good. business looked a little slow maybe 5 or 6 out of about 20 tables when we went for early dinner, defiantly not expected with quality of food. I talked with the manager a little afterward and he's very friendly and makes me want to come back. Defiantly my new favorite indian place A++.

Take note: the lunch menu is not available on Saturdays so you are paying dinner prices.

Don't bother with the appetizer crab cakes, deep fried outside and mushy on the inside.

The shredded tandori chicken had a nice spicy flavor.

    Indian food....where do I begin?

First let me say that this is not a cuisine I eat often. Why? You don't want to know. Seriously? You do? Are you sure? You think you can handle the truth?

Its because every time I do, I have to repaint the bathroom in the house...LOL. See, I warned you!!!! This place was no exception which as far as Indian cuisine is concerned is mark of a fine establishment. To me, the sooner I need to get home and take care of business the better the food was. I'm giving this place 5 stars because I barely made it in the door....LOL. If there was a 6th star available that means a change of underwear prior to arriving at home would be required so thank goodness there are no 6 star Indian joints around.

Seriously though, this place was off the chart. Stumbled on it by accident and glad I did. It was the freshest most delicious Indian food I have ever had...and I'm not kidding. Everything is made fresh and you can even watch through the large glass windows in the open kitchen as they prepare it all.

We had appetizers and 3 main dishes with rice, potatoes and nan and it was all fabulous and none of the other places in San Diego that I have eaten at come close to this little, probably not very well known place in San Marcos. In fact, I think this is the only review for Indian food of my 425+ reviews as of today.

Service was good. The owner was working the floor and seems like a nice guy and food like I said was off the chart. I'll be going back soon, not sure on how often I can handle it (see above) but this was just a great place to dine.

    Enjoy!
