I am saddened by the caddy tone of some of the reviews. This site is intended for consumers to provide accurate and real experiences that they have had with businesses. What I have read is obviously an attempt at trying to sabbotage a business that provides high quality services and reasonable prices. I can confidently state this becaues I have been a customer of Jill's for several years. I have never ever walked away unhappy.
I do not reside in Newport and I never have. I have always gone to her depsite living in Providence, Smithfield and now Warwick.
I cant imagine a more creative and satisfying hair experience. I would advise the haters to stick with the fantastic sam's in the area- clearly their standards would be more adequately met with that venue.

This is the best place in the world to get your hair done! I don't trust anyone else to put their mitts near my hair! Jill, the owner, has been doing my hair for years. I also had a haircut with Jessica once and I was very pleased!
The stylists in the salon are all hip, modern and funky...they know what's in and what's out. To be honest, I would trust any of them to do my hair. You will not leave disappointed!
I have been going to Jill since 2004 up until this last year when I moved to Texas......My hair has just not been the same. Jill always gives me the best cut that looks beautiful up until my next appt. In fact I had some free time and am desperate for a good cut...so I bought a ticket to fly up to see Jill and her staff in early Aug. Yes I said that! Flying all the way from Austin to Newport for a haircut! The girl knows her shit! The very rude comments I am reading from the bridal party seems normal. Most wedding parties are very rude and bratty. I assist a make up artist here in Austin and UGH all I can say is how disgusted I am by the spoiled behavior of most girls. There are only few who are genuine and respectful. That is rare. I am sorry Jill and to the rest of the staff that has to deal with such behaviors. Your salon is wonderful and the awards you have won....you have earned and deserved. Looking forward to my wonderful visit to the OUTSTANDING CURL UP AND DYE!
