I have been in boystown several times, I have visited several shops, but never managed to make my way to Cupid's.
One star off because we have to buzzed in.
Once you are in its like you have stepped into a filthy good time. The staff are full of fun and are very "wise" about all the products. My favorite product that I shared a mutual giggle or two is the cat in a can...LMAO who thinks of this stuff?
If you are looking for a good laugh and to learn something in the process check this place out and the great part about them are they are so much cheaper than a lot of the shops in Boys town.

This review is inspired by my middle school Sex Ed. class. I learned diddily squat because my peers and I were too busy snickering (in awkwardness, of course) at the diagrams of Jack and Jill's .. um, nether regions. Years later, I visited Cupid's Treasure in Boystown to find that's-none-of-your-business items. The greatest worst idea popped up in my filthy mind. Cupid's Treasure would be the an AWESOME destination for a Sex Ed. field trip (for adults).
Here's why:
- Insulting, but hilarious bumper stickers to put on mini-vans!
- More accurate models of the human body!
- Videos of intercourse and other sexual activities!
- Knowledgeable and helpful staff (teacher's assistants)!
- Lingerie to inspire the future fashion designer or escort!
- Dessert disguised as underwear, paints and lotions for purchase!
.... and much, much more. Plus, there is no charge for admission.

I have lived in Chicago for over 10 years and have managed to never stop into Cupid's Treasure before. I'd been by it plenty of times, but just never stopped in.
A fellow yelp buddy and I were socializing on the Boystown strip recently (and NO -- it wasn't THAT kind of socializing), when it dawned on me that I needed to purchase an additional quantity of a personal product. As Cupid's Treasure's lights were a-blazin', I figured they would have the product I was seeking.
To begin with, for a store of its ilk, Cupid's Treasure is clean, bright, well-stocked and well-organized. If you need it, they probably have it.
The selection of the product in question was overwhelmingly large. I wasn't sure where to begin. Enter the super-helpful salesgirl! She sure knew her stuff and was totally helpful and not at all pushy! After a bit of Q&A, I made my selection (which I am totally pleased with) paid for my purchase and continued on my Boystown tour.
I was very impressed! Great selection and thoughtful service in an atmosphere totally devoid of creepiness! In short, Cupid's Treasure has a new loyal customer!
ok first off the place looked ok, i think, the reason why? my wife didnt have her i.d with her. are you kidding were all old looking , honestly the guy looked like an ass and i think he was racist, he didt sey hello or good bye. if anyone wants to go make sure you have your id and your green card....go next door to the leather store its for gay guys but theres a lot of stuff.
It's like a supermarket for erotica, three times as big as San Francisco's Good Vibrations, with clothes, fetishware, toys up the wazoo (heh) and videos. However, it's not as selective, so if you have specific tastes that a Good Vibes might cater to, they may not have it, and their prices are higher than most.
Probably the largest sex store in Chicago. Good selection of lubes, condoms and erotic clothing. Sex toy selection reasonable though I have seen more creative and interesting vibrating toys on the coasts. Friendly staff. They also own the leather/toy place a fe storefronts down. Not cheap, but then all sex stores seem a bit overpriced -- especially for erotic clothing and sex toys. The lady from "Talk Sex" would give this place her seal of approval. The large containers of lube are a good buy -- they are much cheaper per ounce and the stuff does not seem to go bad.
