6 reviews for Cupertino Inn
One of Cupertino Inn's Favorite Reviews What's This?
4.5 stars We won a free night here as part of a raffle for the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley and decided to take a mini-vacation locally before the baby gets here.
* One star: Clean- I am a little (OK, maybe more than a little) retentive about things being clean in hotels, from bedspreads to carpeting to bathrooms. I also do yoga and am down there on the floor so I know when a place isn't clean- and this place met my standards, which doesn't happen very often at hotels that are under $400/night. Nice work.
** Two stars- Pool- this is always a hotel necessity for my husband, who was a seal in a previous life- it was 5' deep, long enough for casual laps, was very clean without being too chloriney, and was open 24 hrs
***three stars- spacious: we stayed in a suite facing the pool courtyard with a front sitting room and a back bedroom - from the king-sized bed to the general room size I felt like we more room than usual - easily three yoga mats wide between the bed and closet
****fourth star- Other: helpful woman at the front desk, shaded outdoor hottub surrounded by flowers, snuggly white robe, proximity to awesome Malaysian restaurant and also BJ's Brewery for a beer beforehand, complimentary cocktails, a window that really opens, nice landscaping
* half-star for being the kind of place that supports local charities and gives a free night's lodging for a raffle - that's the kinda place I want to send business back to-
Less one half-star for proximity to the highway, which kept my husband awake most of the night, and for no free Internet computer in the lobby or business staion...but I really feel like I'm "nickel and diming" them with those complaints as the woman at the front desk was happy to look up the phone # that we needed and there are other benefits to being close to the highway...either way I would definitely refer friends and family to this hotel and be confident that they would have a good experience.

I have stayed at the Cupertino Inn 2 times . Not the nicest hotel I've stayed at but for the price it is very good. The free breakfast buffet is a plus and the free drinks in the evening is also good.
The staff is polite and the rooms are clean.
This is a good place to stay if your in the Cupertino and I would stay there again.
I have stayed at the Cupertino Inn numerous times for business. The staff has always been nice and the rooms have always been clean. This is not a fancy hotel but not bad for business or family stays. They have free wifi (connection is not always great), free breakfast buffet (not bad) and free drinks in the evening (always nice).
Overall this is a good place to stay in the Cupertino area. They have also recently renovated their rooms, it is a huge improvement.
This is, especially since their remodeling of the rooms, a comfortable place to stay while on business. There were also a lot of kids during my latest visit in July, so I assume it's good for kids, though Cupertino is a very businessy area.
In February, the room was "eh". I walked in thinking I was in a glorified Best Western. And, after my first night in SFO at a really swank Sheraton for $40 less per night, I was shocked.
In July, it seems the remodel had gotten applied to all but one floor, from what I heard. Thankfully, I was in one of the updated rooms. I walked in as was like, "WOW! Did I get upgraded?" Very warm and invitng and comfy.
The free happy hour and breakfasts are substantial and make up for when you can't get out.
I have mixed feelings about the Cupertino Inn. The rooms are fairly nice, newish, and clean, but the WiFi doesn't really work, the breakfast is pretty bad, and traffic noise permeates all corners. On the bright side, they do have a convenient parking lot (no need to valet park), pool, and hot tub. Also, happy hour drinks are free (plus tip) every night. All in all, a "decent" place to stay, just not outstanding.
Oh, let's begin with a bit of negativity. Do not be fooled by the name. This is a hotel. The website portrays it (with deeply colored photos and descriptions like "small inn") as something quaint and villagesk. Again, this is a hotel. 90's drab architecture, blocks and water fountains and in the heart of a whole lot of urban nothingness.
Now, why should it get four stars? Price and accomodations. I got a room for 140 that usually ran 370. A two room suite with two queen beds, a mini bar and two T.V.s. The only reason to stay here is for wine country and to be close to one of the best concert venues in Northern California: The Mountain Winery.
The "Inn" also got four stars because (1) it was wildly clean, (2) the staff were great (bringing up a microwave and four extra pillows upon request and quickly at that), (3) free full breakfast (self-serve with the traditional stuff: waffles, eggs, sausage, toast, fresh juice, organic coffee) and, finally, comp. limo rides to the airport.
For a non-inn (i.e., hotel) you cant beat it (if this price lasts).
