Get your ID out. And a pen. Be prepared for security to corner you, frisk you, and stick a chip in your ass.

Made it past security? Good... get thee to an elevator! Figure out what floor the CUNY Cafeteria is on ("Oh, is it 7 or 8? Oh crap, maybe it's 9!") and emerge in a sky-light lit room of tables and -- what's that smell? Oh yeeeaaah cafeteria food. Yum.

Onto the food!  Slightly hospital-esque with strong notes of middle-school-lunch. Full bodied, with a touch of work-place-canteen in the finish.

Mostly I just think it's amazing that people that aren't me felt the urge to review this 'eating establishment.'
I just came to say thank you to the "thai food" that made me "barf" and also cost like nine bucks. Eff this place. There is a much better cafeteria-esque eatery (if that's what you're into) down the street from the Graduate Center called Sweet Pea or something. The food was cold, but at least it tasted good.

Don't go in hungry. Most of the food is measured by weight. and don't go in expecting a big selection, especially in the summer. there's not much of one. overall, I'm not impressed. it's cafeteria food, so I'd recommend trying any of the other 1,000 places in the nearby neighborhood.

To access the CUNY cafeteria, you need to first check in at the Lobby and present a valid identification. The cafeteria is open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 3pm. I believe its one of the best lunch deals around, and the food was tasty despite the discounted cost. The lunch options vary daily and during seasons/school sessions. The Salad Bar is a staple that is there everyday.
