Review from Thomas T.
North Smithfield, RI
Pizza joint heaven. I had a small cheese pizza that was tasty and perfectly cooked. My "small" Greek salad was enormous. The ingredients were clean and crisp with 4 neat blocks of feta cheese, kalamata olives and, what seemed to be, homemade dressing.
Perfect lunch. -

Pizza is good, crust is awesome! However, the atmosphere has declined over the years. They do not control their dinning area when the teenagers take over the place. If you sit in the lounge area not usually a bunch of teenagers there, but sometimes the overflow comes in. Approached management regarding this once and the manager on that night just shrugged his shoulders and returned to the counter area and continued to watch sports on tv. Do not go as often - use to be once a week. Now once in a while and usually take out. Prices have increased - some portions have decreased. It does beat franchise pizza except Papa Gino's.
Also, no delivery - -

I've only had the pizza here, but its pretty good. Much better than pizza from a franchise place.

I sure love pizza.
I was taken to Cumberland House of Pizza and wasn't sure what to expect. I saw framed articles of awards for best pizza over various years, but sometimes those award things shouldn't have been awarded to some places. I was actually surprised that the pizzas we had were pretty tasty. We got the Special and one with just pepperoni. I had eaten about five slices of the two large pizzas. If I'm ever out in that area again, I would be glad to order their pizzas again. -

One of the most popular pizza joints in the Blackstone Valley area, better known to many as C.H.O.P. THeir pizza is quite good, has a lighter more airy sort of crust and always plenty of cheese and toppings. Their grinders are also quite good, and they offer the usual sorts of salads and pasta dishes as well.
It's usually rather busy but service is pretty quick. They offer take out but no delivery. -

This place is amazing. Great pies, great salads, and the eggplant lasagna is delicious. Best pizza in Northern RI by far!

The best pizza in the area. I've been here for both dinner and lunch carry out, eat in and in the pub. I recommend a classic pepperoni and sausage pie. The only downside is they don't deliver :(

Jalapeno poppers were decent but made with cheddar instead of cream cheese so not as sweet as they normally are. Buffalo chicken pizza was really good and not overly spicy. Kinda weird self service style place you sit in the dining room but have to go up to the counter to order and get soda cups and pour your own soda and get your own plates and utensils. The only thing the waitstaff did was take our order and put it on the counter and yell our number which would be normal for take out but WE WERE EATING THERE!!! Not complaining just thought it was odd.

This is the pizza I grew up with, so take that into consideration when you read this review. Now, that said, I think it's a very good pizza. The crust is never dense or doughy. It always has a nice crispness to it, which is something that's proved difficult for me to find at most other places. The sauce is bright and flavorful. One of my favorite pies here is the veggie. I'm no vegetarian, but the sheer variety of veggies on this pie puts it a cut (a slice?) above most others I've had. In addition to the usual pepper, onion, mushroom, and olive, they also have spinach, broccoli, tomato, and even fried eggplant. You don't miss the meat. But even if you DO miss meat, you can order the House Special, their "everything" pizza, loaded with many kinds of meat and vegetables. Yum. In addition to pizza, they also do really good onion rings. Their jalapeno poppers are a family favorite. They're...unusual. Not stuffed jalapenos, but cheese with chopped jalapenos, deep-fried. It's nothing fancy, but man, is it good junk food. I don't think I've ever eaten in the restaurant itself, but the takeout never disappoints when I go back to visit my parents in Rhode Island.
