They support Barcelona futbol, and have a massive outdoor multi-screen TV complete with heat lamps.

I had 3 Dos Equis (yes, of course lager you schmuck), they were all excellent.  Each better than the last.

    Ergo, Cuatro's rocks.

Ohhhhhh man.  This place conflicts me.  It has everything a young sports and beer fan could want.  A massive patio, massive TV's, ice cooooooooold beer and sports always on those gigantic tubes.  But the food.....grrrrsh.

I walked up from the parking lot on a beatifully sunny day.  There was a sign that said "seat yourself," so I plopped down in front of the gloriously large TV outside on the patio.  Within a couple of minutes the waitress was out to get my drink order.  Pecan Porter was what the belly desired, and that's what it got!  Delicously cold and refreshing.  The sun was shining, Sportscenter was on, the beer was good.  I was one of the only people on the patio.  You see, I'm smarter than the average Frat Boy and know that you can't find a premium seat during the hours of 11:30 to 1:30.  Strategically I showed up at 1:45 and claimed my spot in sun and sports perfection.  My job allows me to do that, sorry about your luck if you're stuck in a cube.

I had a Groupon worth $20 so I had some eating to do.  I ordered the fried pickles to start off with.  Goodness gracious, easy on the frickin salt!  Waaaaaaay too much salt.  They weren't unbearable though.  But I won't get them again.  Since I had a lot of money left I opted for the most expensive thing on their menu, the Ahi Tuna Tacos on flour tortillas.  Needless to say by the 2 star rating they weren't good.  The tuna looked like it came out of a package.  Tasted like it too.  It may have been my bad for ordering this at a sports bar type place, but if you charge that much for something, please back it up with good flavor.

As I was about to leave a crazed crowd of face painted middle-aged and college kids showed up pretty much all at the same time.  There was some "futbol" on the big screen and somehow all these folks got the day off.  This, I liked!  I liked it a lot!  I stayed for a while longer to be a part of this rowdy crowd and soak in the experience of people passionate about their sport.  Pretty cool way to finish the meal.  But it would have been a better experience, a MUCH better experience if I just came for a few beers on the patio.

Based on a couple previous reviews, I must clarify a couple things about Cuatro's:
    1) This is a very UN-hipster place. I'm not sure how you could come to the opposite conclusion...the number of similarities between Cuatro's and Bouldin Creek Cafe (hipster mecca) is exactly zero.
    2) Cuatro's should NOT tune all of the TV's to the Longhorn Network. God, please no. I and many others would probably stop patronizing this establishment, since the fact that it's not centered around college football 24/7 is exactly what makes it unique!

    /rant over

Ok, been here twice, both times the food has been excellent. Burger for Breakfast & Kona Tacos are our staples. Happy Hour starts at 3. Yes, the portions are huge.

This place is perfect on a sunny spring day, since most of the seating is outdoors. I really dig the decor & vibe of the place-- it pulls off a sporty atmo while staying classy. Sure, the service isn't the ABSOLUTE BEST, but what do you expect? It's a few blocks from a massive university. It's friendly and I've never had any problems.

Finally, I love that this place is a bit of a soccer bar! There are more than enough bars centered around Amurr'can football, it's nice to have a place for soccer fans to gather and still enjoy delicious beer and bar food.

Maybe next time I can meet the man, the myth, the legend: Cuatro himself.

We decided to try this place out because we had heard some good things.  We sat at our table for 30 minutes before a waiter came to take our order, then before we finished he responded "Hold on one minute, I'll be back".  Needless to say it was another five minutes until he returned.  We then waited another thirty minutes for our food and my husbands was cold.  He sent it back and didn't get an apology or anything, NOTHING.  My tacos were delicious, a little overpriced but delicious.  They are the only reason I'm giving two stars.

FOOD: Love the food. My favorites are the grilled fish tacos and the queso. Kinda expensive but it's worth it IMO. I love the happy hour half off appetizers on mondays.

BEER: a little too pricey. My friend and I split a pitcher of Blue Moon and it was pretty expensive if I recall. Wish I remembered exactly how much it was

SERVICE Mixed: I had one awesome waitress with dreadlocks. Attended to every need and refilled our beers/drinks/etc. For the most part, they are all cool..except this one time i had a pretty bitchy one who messed up our order not once but twice and made a fuss about it. She actually just seemed like she was having a bad day so we excused her bad service. At least she tried...

I was happy to see a modern american/mexican restaurant that was not too expensive. I was not thrilled with the chipotle chicken tacos that I had but my husband loved the tuna tacos. We bought a groupon and plan to go back soon. I plan to try the quesadillas and will let you know if they are any better. The drinks are cheap but decent.

I really like Cuatros, for a couple of reasons.

    1.  Carlsberg on draught.  For whatever reason, the past few years I've been all about Carlsberg, and I love places where I can get it from the tap.
    2.  Cuatro.  A truly nice man, who works hard to not only run a good bar but also help the community.  I got to meet his father the last time I was there, and you could see the pride in his Dad's face as we discussed the various good works which Cuatro helps foster through his establishment.

They've got plenty of tvs, including a megatron one where you can sit out on their covered patio and watch sports.  The food is good, the service has always been great.

in short, I love going to Cuatros, especially if you're into non-American football.

I went back to cuatro's after I was overcharged for my pitcher of lawnmower, the mgr came over and apologized and issued us a pitcher to make up for it.  the tuna tostadas were still fantastic, our server smiled big but she also served us food with no utensils.  we had a good time and we'll surely go back now that we have the knowledge of the correct price for a pitcher of beer.

I don't like getting the shaft; price gouging.  nobody does.  but here is how it happened on a friday, for happy hour.

this place is near my wife's office.  we've come here a few times because it's easy and has a nice patio.  we don't care about the big tv with sports, but there is a quieter patio.  unfortunately people also come over there to smoke and then just toss their still smoldering butts in with the landscaping.  my wife had to go fish one out to extinguish it herself.

anyhow, the food.  our waitress suggested that anything with tuna on it was really good.  her advice was solid!  the tuna tostadas were worth the price.  but we also came for some beer, it was friday and 6.30 pm, HAPPY HOUR.

I asked about the happy hour beer special posted on the chalk board and she said the ONLY happy hour offering on friday was for bud/bud-lite.  this place has a decent draft beer selection and I just didn't see drinking bud was worth saving a few bucks.  I found st. arnold's lawnmower among the draft list at $4 a pint.  one of my favorite summer time beers.

I asked the waitress how much the pitchers were, she didn't know but offered to go check.  I figured I'd shorten the process and get what I wanted the first time, a pitcher of lawnmower.

man that beer is good and refreshing.  then we got the bill.  that pitcher of beer was $22!  really!  so I later checked and found that a pitcher of beer (60 or 64 oz is the standard) is only four pints.  so, if we had ordered five pints we would have paid $20?!  since when is there an penalty for purchasing larger volumes?

the end result was an UN-happy hour.

note: I bumped this review up to three stars.  cuatro was kind enough to contact me and offer to correct the mistake that was made during this visit.  seems like a nice guy and people do make mistakes.  I'm assuming it was the server that over charged us.

First time at this establishment.  Service was fast and friendly, sports atmosphere very nice and accomodating for the college crowd. Nice layout, including the outside area.  Fish tacos were OK but a little dry and sparse.  Black beans had been pureed and were way to thin, but tasty. Prices were reasonable.  I'm willing to give it another try.

There are few things that I love more than a nice refreshing drink on a hot summer's day. I mean, there are kittens. Who doesn't freaking love kittens? There's "Arrested Development" re-runs. I love me some hilarious--yet poignant--familial dysfunction. And there's my mother. She didn't have a C-section. That was all her. Not much can compete with that.

Oh wait. The cucumber margaritas from Cuatros can. The menu says something about lime juice and tequila but, personally, I think that's all BS. I have a very empirically-tested theory that they crush up rainbows and mix them with fairy dust and I *think* they might even add drops of Chuck Norris sweat*... that's the little kicker. Just smacks you right in the face, it's so good. To top it all off, they rim the glasses with crack!!

I KNOW. I'm so happy, too.

So.. if you want a yummy drink (and maybe a nasty crack habit), head on down to Cuatros and order this criminally delicious beverage. The service is iffy.. it depends on when you go. Happy Hour on weeknights is pretty chill but on the weekends and game nights it gets PACKED. Also, try the mojito and the watermelon agua fresca. Delish.

*I can't believe I used a Chuck Norris joke in a Yelp review. See what you do to me, Cuatros? DO YOU SEE???

Welcome to disappointment-ville, population hipster.  A beautiful, outdoor based restaurant this place is home to overpriced mexican and and lame patrons.  I've met some pretty stuck up hipsters here which has made for terrible experiences in my book.  However, its not all bad.  They have ok service and the occasionly good drink specials.

The biggest pro, they have a bunch of big-ass tvs hooked up together to form a super massive tv.  Honestly, I'm surprised that tv doesn't cause more wrecks going up the hill on 24th.  However, it sucks when you have the big game on DVR and you pull up to the light and see people screaming at a tv to big to ignore and glance at the score (you mean the score is 9-2 in the 8th, DAMN IT ASTROS!  PITCHING IS SUPPOSE TO BE OUR STRENGTH... if you assume we have a strength).

Anyways, they play all of the soccer games from around the world so if you're in to that then this is your place.  I see everyone sporting their Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool jerseys, but lets face it, this is America.  The only teams people have heard of is Man U and everyone hates Man U like everyone hates the Yankees.  They should cancel the soccer games and put on the Longhorn Network 24/7, but I digress.  To review, overpriced, par quality, good service, great atmosphere, terrible people.

Using ScoutMob and it's 50% off coupon was what drove us to try this place. We enjoy going to new restaurants we haven't eaten at and this was not far from where we were in Austin. Once we found where to park, we were super excited to try this place after some of the reviews we'd heard from some of the locals.

We followed the sign instructions that told us to "Seat Yourself". We found a nice place to sit on the patio outside and began our waiting to see a waitress. Yep, kept on waiting....and waiting...and waiting some more. 10 minutes later, as I had hit my limit of waiting, my husband went and FOUND a waitress and basically said "Um, hey! Customers waiting outside." We got our drinks ordered and we began to browse the menu. We told our waitress that it was our first visit and asked if she had any recommendations or if there was one thing that was her absolute favorite. The recommendation was the tuna tacos, so that was what I ordered. My husband ordered the brisket and my daughter ordered the chipotle something taco (her words, not mine).

The portion sizes are absolutely huge! My daughter was not able to eat more than half of one of her tacos before she was full. My husband had to stop eating his tacos because there was so much grease from the brisket that it was inundating every bite. He said he wanted more beef, less grease. The tuna tacos were good, but not something that I would personally choose again.

Overall our experience was very "Eh". The service was mediocre at best and I give it that because we sat for so long without ever seeing a waitress and then having to go find one on our own. While she was nice, my suggestion to other young waitresses who are waiting on families, don't ever, ever pay more attention to the father than you do to the wife or even the teenagers in the group. When you attempt to shove your pretty, young body on the father in front of his family...all you're successfully doing is making darn sure that the wife/mother is NOT ever going to come back. Second, make sure the area you are supposed to be serving is actually covered. Don't make the customers come and find you.

This place is on our list of "Been there. Have no desire to go back."

Someone gave me a groupon so I went for free food.

Server: 4 stars! I wish I'd asked my server his name. He was good at his job and pleasant. He showed up whenever I needed him, and gave me just what I asked for.

    Building: Um 1/2 a star.
So first, I don't know where you're supposed to enter. I didn't see an identifiable entrance so I wandered through the building and didn't find anyone who looked interested in seating me so I just found a table and set down. A couple walked in to the same section and while he sat down at the table she ran inside and returned with two menus. Maybe that's how its supposed to be here, but I'm not sure. Without someone seating me I wasn't sure someone would choose to work the almost empty section I found a table in.

    Food: Two stars.
I'd read reviews saying the wait would be lengthy but it wasn't. Within 20 minutes I received my queso and chips and my chicken tacos. The tacos were good, the rice was crunchy and overcooked and tasted weird (they said it was cilantro lime, but it tasted like neither), the black beans were like brown paste, and the queso was eh... hmm...ok(?). If I really needed food, I would not eat here. I was thankful that after eating a few bites to take the edge off my hunger, I was happy to leave it all there. (I figured I could have a sandwich at home if I actually got hungry later...)

Overall the waiter was cute. The food was warm. If I happened to be in the area... I'd probably still go somewhere else unless I wanted to hang out with someone fun on a patio. It probably would photograph well... heck even the food was pretty.

Oh and parking was easier than I'd imagined even though the place was packed.

If I could figure out how to give this place 2.5 stars I would.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the food, sports on the TV's or the prices.

The only thing wrong with this place is the waitstaff is not very professional. I admit it's probably from having to deal with idiot college kids all the time that don't tip at all.

So if someone at Cuatros ever reads this please try coming to my table more often than every 20 to 30 minutes. I promise to spend more money and thereby give more of a tip.

Take it for what it is, I suppose.  Cuatros has a big patio, it's great for groups, you can watch all the soccer you want there.  The food is terrible, and I am consistently disappointed with the service.

Last time I went, we waited two seconds to get our table, and about an hour and fifteen minutes for the waitress to take our order.  I understand that we were a big group, but if you want to provide service to big groups, hire a bigger wait staff!  Service that slow really takes away from the dining experience.  It's hard to enjoy your food when you're angry about the slow service.

What upsets me most is the included gratuity.  If you're going to hire an insufficient wait staff for your giant restaurant, it's really unfair to demand a tip like that.  We were a large group, and our check was not split up (I think waiters and waitresses who can't/don't do this are dumb and lazy).  Evidently we shorted the waitress about $12 on a few hundred dollar tab, which always seems to happen even if everyone swears that they paid in full.  She came out and told us that we shorted her!  Take the hit!  You were a terrible waitress.  You don't deserve a tip that high, so when we accidentally come up short, have some pride and class, and go home with $12 dollars less that night, instead of whining to the table about it.

At least one of their waitresses is a whiny baby who is in over her head in the restaurant business.  I always groan when people want to go to dinner here with a group.  Next time, I won't be ordering food.  You brought it on yourself, Cuatros.

I went to Cuatros last night with a friend and her puppy because it's a block away from my house and they have a dog friendly patio. I hesitate to go to Cuatros since the service is notoriously lousy and the crowd can be obnoxious once the wait staff over-serves them.

It was a Monday night so I figured I'd take a chance.  Here are some of the lowlights of the evening, keep in mind that there were fewer than 30 patrons:

    - 20+ minutes passed without so much as a glance from the waitresses.

    - I finally took it upon myself to get a menu on the off chance that someone would come take our order.

    -  One of the waitresses was wearing bright yellow sweatpants scrunched up to her knees and a purple tank top that read "4Play" across the back, with a sloppy ponytail-bun. Judging by her appearance, I assumed she was recovering from the flu. She was training a new hire. Wow.

    - A waiter from another section finally took our order about 35 minutes after we arrived. He was very nice, actually.

    - Loud and obnoxious patrons with a small dog arrived and sat at the picnic table next to us. We found out less than a minute later that one of the girls actually works at Cuatros, is under 21, and was there to drink with her friends. Awesome!

    - Our food and drinks arrived quickly. Yellow sweatpants took the order of the table next to us and, in doing so, bent over and stuck her ass right in my face as I was eating. This may fare well with the male patrons but, to put it lightly, I was very displeased.

    - The under 21, off-duty waitress shared an alcoholic Cuatrotini with her effeminate male friend. Cheers!

Pros: Tasty alcoholic drinks for the under 21 crowd, super casual dress, dog friendly patio, big TV's

Cons: Too many to list, suffice to say, they never fail to disappoint!

Austin has so many wonderful places to eat nowadays that if you're going to open up a restaurant or food trailer, you better bring IT. I'm sorry to say I didn't find IT during my visit here.

This was my first visit here. I thought it was "okay,"/ "so-so"(with a shoulder shrug). I went on a Monday afternoon in the middle of summer, so it was pretty much empty inside.

Drinks: the cucumber margarita was very refreshing, the jalapeño margarita was satisfactory.

Appetizers: the shrimp skewers were pretty good, shrimp, and jalapeños wrapped in bacon. I wasn't that big of a fan of the dipping sauce that came with it, too syrupy sweet.

Entree: Ahi tuna tacos: the portions were really good on this one, generous slices of  Tuna that's seared on the outside and rare in the middle. All the tomatoes and veggies tasted fresh. They used actual leaves of lettuce and now just shredded iceberg. The only problem I had was the Tuna didn't taste seasoned at all, which made me drown the taco with the cilantro cream sauce that comes with it. This created some what of a soggy mess.

Overall, I thought the food was just okay. I'd be willing to try something else on the menu or go for a drinks. But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this first visit was also my last. Six years ago when I lived 3 blocks away, I would have given this place another try, but now. It's just not my scene anymore and the experience wasn't good enough for me to come back.

Cuatro's is a good sports joint. The food was above average and drinks were tasty especially the Jalapeno margarita. The only drawback from my one-time experience was a $5 fee for game watching. Have no idea if we got charged. Strange. The serving talent was better than the food ;)

I recently had my engagement party at Cuatro's. We chose a Sunday Brunch and they were nice enough to set up a Bloody Mary/Michelada bar in our party room. Not only was the food great, but the service was unbeatable! There were close to 40 people that attended, many locals that had not been there before, and they were super impressed by Cuatro's.

Thanks for the great party! Everyone had a blast!!!

We were here on a Sunday at around noon. I was expecting to have some brunch, but the server let us know that they ran out of some things and weren't serving brunch/breakfast items anymore :c

So I ordered the veggie tacos, which came with rice and beans. The rice was good, the beans were eh, it just wasn't very flavorful. The veggie tacos were just okay too. There were just a few specks of cheese on them and the tacos overall were a little bland.

I like the atmosphere of this place though. The patio and the huge TVs make a great place to watch sports. The service wasn't bad either, although my credit card statement was a dollar more than what I wrote on the bill. I figured it must of been because we came in a large group (7) and the server forgot to factor in a higher tip? Anyways, that wasn't a big deal for me, I just didn't really like the food.

The food here is absolutely phenomenal.  If you're complaining about the food, you're obviously not trying the right stuff.  I would fight every single one of you for just one bite of their shrimp tacos.  I've constantly joked with the staff that they need to open up a Taco Stand somewhere.  I would say they are on par with Torchy's and Taco Deli, both of which are 2 of my personal favorite places to eat.  The Burgers are always delicious (and fairly large considering the price).  They usually update the menu every now and then to keep with the changes of what is working/what is not working and adding new things.  For the healthy people out there, the Tuna/Avocado salad is pretty darn delicious as well.  And don't even get me started on the Queso Especial.  There's a reason family and clients always request we go to Cuatro's when they visit town.  The food alone is worth returning for.

As far as the drinks, they have a pretty decent tap selection for that not being what they're known for.  They generally have a good drink special almost every day of the week, and always good specials during football games.  They've got everything from fancy fruity martini's, to draft pitchers, to even cans of Pearl/PBR/High Life which always run cheap when your pockets become thin.

The TV's are probably one of their bigger strengths.  You've got the giant "Cuatrotron" for all your big game matches, and the staff is very helpful about getting the game on that you want to watch near your table if you ask.  They have almost a TV per table in the bar room which is nice when people want to watch 5-6 different things.  Then they play almost any soccer match you can think of.  If it's on TV somewhere, it's likely that Cuatros will carry it as that is one of their main caveats--being a soccer bar.  If you're a Chelsea or Arsenal fan this is definitely your place to go.  They even open up the place at 6am for those pesky early games so that those groups of fans can watch their games live.  Just another way it show's that the staff and Cuatro truly care about their patrons, and go out of their way to ensure they have the best time.

The parking is a plus here too, especially with it being in West Campus where parking is at an obvious premium.  They have 3 lots they can use, and on big game days they contract out the parking lot across the street to ensure everyone has a place to park.  For those of you whom have dined/visited the West Campus district, you know how important finding a simple parking spot with no hassle can be.

There's a reason we hold our weekly Manager's Lunch Meetings, as well as several of our company's marketing events as well.  The staff and owner are very accommodating towards crowds and groups of any size, and have always gone that extra step to ensure that everyone was taken care of.

All in all, there's a reason this place is still flourishing.  They take care of their customers, they provide excellent food and drinks at competitive prices, and their sports (especially soccer) packages are hard to top.

Love going here to watch futbol (soccer), especially because I'm a Chelsea fan.

They show the big match on the gigantic screen, and they also have multiple "normal" TVs around the bar.

The food are awesome too, I like most of their tacos and burgers, and they started serving brunch on the weekend, which is perfect for when you're watching games.

Also, their Queso Especial is the bomb.

I just jumped on yelp after our first visit to Cuatros and am really surprised to see so many negative reviews.  We just used 2 instant living social ($5 for $10) coupons.  For our $10 we got 2 AMAZING veggie tacos the Sloppy Burger, chips with salsa, and queso.  All of it was FANTASTIC.  And it came with a great server.

A lot of places do not put enough love in their veggie food, you know?  I'm not vegetarian but sometimes I want a really well done vegetarian meal and I got it here tonight.  My husband got the sloppy brisket burger and I had a few bites of that as well.  The brisket is delicious!  Also, try the "ubiquitous sauce"... very good.

The yelp page says not good for kids...but we brought our son and it was great.  He's 3 and really enjoyed the sweet potato fries, queso, and tacos.

Great bar for a Sunday brunch.

The mimosas and bloody marys on special were just what my crew needed on a Sunday morning. Most of us got breakfast tacos, which were extra delicious. And our waitress was really cute, always easy on the eyes when you're hungover in the morning.

If you love food, you really can't love this place. Yeah, the patio is great and the tvs if you're with guys and yada yada yada but it's overpriced, slow service, and way worse than normal bar food. And they're not even open that late.

What I don't get -- is that they're on Austin restaurant weeks and sip and savor and things like that. Who let Cuatros on there??!? What a joke.

Cain and Abels wins the patio/sports tvs/bar food category for sure.

It's a sports bar that sells tacos.

The food is just ok, but the queso was really nice. Cheap drinks specials during happy and a large patio. Not  much to talk about but you could do alot worse for sports bars in this city.

The ahi tuna tacos are delicious and come with a hefty amount of fish. The mini corn dogs appetizer is yummy and reminds me of being a kid again. Cool atmosphere. Great service. I'd definitely come back again.

Things I like about Cuatro's after 2.5 years of being a regular.

    1.  They give back to the community in spades.  Just want to mention one item, when one of our favorite Yelpers lost their home to a fire on Christmas Eve last year, Cuatro's teamed with me to raise funds to assist them in recovery.  In fact in the past 2.5 years, Cuatro's has worked with me to raise funds for the Miracle Foundation, Colin's Hope, our favorite Yelper and most recently The Wounded Warrior Project.  He provides complimentary meals for 50 plus folks who spend the day fund-raising and then gather at the restaurant to celebrate the success.  That alone is worth a couple of stars.

    2.  The owner is the chef and cares deeply about the folks who eat and drink at his establishment.  I can tell you, he reads every single review he gets.  It bothers him greatly if someone doesn't have a good time and try's his best to make the experience better.  He knows he can't be perfect always, but does his best when someone has a legitimate concern and voices their experience.

    3.  They have become another go to place for English Football.  His pricing is fair and offers up breakfast taco's to folks who arrive early in the morning to watch.  An item which isn't even on the menu.  They are not complimentary, but inexpensive...like 2 bucks I believe.

    4.  They try to be what they are.. a laid back place where you seat yourself and sometimes might even have to ask for a waiter/waitress to drop by the table.  Generally, they are on the ball and you get service quickly.  This has been my experience.

    5.  If they have it on TV, they will do everything in their power to get the game you want on, but will also check with others before switching a game over.  I think first come first serve is a fair practice.

Since the wife and I have spent some much time here over the years, we have become friends with the owner.  So, in a way, I also care that he succeeds in a difficult market.  But also, we wouldn't spend so much or our time and our income here if we were constantly provided with sub par food and service.  With the weather like it is now, it's a great place to check out their new menu and drinks.

Things I really like about Cuatros:

    1. The wall of televisions and the fact that they don't always show traditional American sports.

    2. The feel of the place. It used to be a gas and service station and with the folding glass walls and roll up doors they've done a lot to incorporate the old with the new. The outside feels like inside and inside feels like outside.

    3. The location is West Campus and while you are reminded of that fact, it isn't nauseating pro-UT, frat bar-ish. If you know what I mean.

    4. The drinks, while small, pack a punch.

Things I really don't like about Cuatros:

    1. The food. From tacos, to chips and queso to the burgers, I've never liked a single meal I've had here.

I live a block from this place so i have come here several times and always leave disappointed. At first glance this place should be right up my ally: it has huge tvs to watch sports (especially soccer), has one of the best patios in Austin, they serve burgers and tacos which are my favorite food, serve plenty of alcohol, and usually the waitresses are pretty cute

Somehow though they fail everywhere besides the tv and the patio. The food sucks, I don't even know what else to say about it. The Mexican food is bland and my burger was burnt. I think I am 4/4 for having some of the worst service ever, and I'm not too picky since I have waited tables before and know how it goes. I also hate that I can buy a $5 beer and it comes out in a plastic cup.

Overall if you don't care to wait 15 minutes after you finish your drink for  another one, think taco cabana quality is great Mexican food, and just want to sit and watch some soccer on a patio this is your place, otherwise save your money

The food at this place is a joke.  If you want to get a pitcher of beer and watch a sports game then this might be a good place to go, but the food was so bad it was laughable.  They need to hire a real chef.

The queso was bland, watery, gritty and gross.  The salsa which tasted like squeezed tomatoes, was also bland, watery and pointless.  I ordered the shrimp tacos which were a nightmare; they were basically a very bland shrimp salad on a tortilla.  The ingredients did not go well together at all.  They also managed to screw up the beans and rice.  The food was so bad that I stopped eating it; it wasn't worth the calories.  I would rather scrape dog poo off of my shoe and eat it than eat here again.  If you must eat here, don't order the tacos.

Also, the back of the shirts the waitresses were wearing said "4 a good time," which was sort of funny but also sad.

Why I like Cuatro's would be because they have a lovely patio with wooden benches and for their location.

I ordered a brownie with ice-cream and besides giving me just that, which was like a piece of heaven, they also sent a little hell alongside, as if to remind me I was still on Earth--a piece of the wax paper they used happily twirled in my mouth as I was thinking hard "What sort of walnut is this plastic-y?". Umm and then they didn't reduce the charges for that. Umm no problem. The heaven part was delicious, so. Umm I know, right?

It'd be unfair for me to judge them because I've only been there once although it's like one yard away from my place. We usually end up going to Cain & Abel's, which I love, by the way.

Okay so, yes, Cuatro's is the place to chill out and watch games and all with a bunch of friends and beer. The service is okay. Mind you, the servers are cool but the service is okay. Go figure.

I was totally digging the vibe Cuatros was able to provide. It was very laid back. I came here during lunch with a co-worker and was surprised at how ''slow'' they were. Service was fast, but when I say ''slow'' I mean the flow of customers. We were pretty simple and ordered burgers. We both went for the Shlee burger, I mean...it just sounded amazing.

When I received my order I will say I wasn't all that impressed. It makes me sad to say that because I really wanted to like it. It was...just a burger. The fries were awesome, and so was the sweet tea!

I was jealous of the few other occupied tables that were around us as they were enjoying nice margaritas. *sigh* If only I didn't have to return to work. :( At least I know this is a place I know I could have a few drinks with friends and kick back. Especially on that patio, it's spacious and just right. Parking was weird. I called beforehand to ask about parking and the gentleman said ''parking will not be a problem, we have lots of parking out back''. When we pulled around out back it was a dirt lot that wasn't very big. So girls, if you're wearing heels...careful.

A-okay experience. May return for Happy Hour! :)

It's called a breakup because it's broken.  Damn, Cuatros, why you gotta go and ruin a good thing with habitually SLOW, horrible service and the random hours?  We walked in at 9pm tonight and the kitchen was closed.  SERIOUSLY???  At 9pm?

Another time I dropped by with some coworkers for lunch.  Two full hours passed before we got our food, and when it arrived, it was ICE COLD.  We returned to work with boxes of cold food, and ended up missing an important meeting - and this, even after we informed our server that we really needed to hurry.

So much wasted potential - it pisses me off as much as it pains me to write this but... you're food and ginormous TV just aren't good enough to make up for all your other shortcomings.  I can't take it anymore.

I've turned a blind eye time and time again hoping the tide will turn, but it's always the same.  Seriously, if you'd just buckle down and apply yourself, post some normal freaking hours and train the damn wait staff to do their jobs adequately, you'd be the best boyfriend evar.  I'd let you impregnate me with your foodbabies over and over again.  But not til you make some changes.

I've had it with you, C.  I need a break.  Call me when you're ready to talk. *sniffle*

Cuatro's is a great place to watch sporting events on a beautiful Austin day. It has a great patio, TVs everywhere and a full bar with varying drink specials. You also have the option to sit inside. It gets packed with die-hard fans, so you should get there early on a big game day. It's near campus, so naturally it's filled with tons of students.

The food varies from mediocre to very tasty. I definitely recommend the pulled pork tacos; put some Cholula on those babies, and you've got yourself a great meal. The fried pickles are delicious (chips over spears FTW!) and the Queso Especial is to-die-for. I'm lactose intolerant but am willing to sacrifice the stomach pain to eat a whole bowl of this stuff.

Do NOT order the nachos. They may or may not have improved them from when I ordered them, but basically they brought out some chips with a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on them and charged $6. C'mon! We're in Texas-- doesn't everyone know how to make nachos? Throw some beans and jalapeños on 'em, por favor!

Overall, good food, good atmosphere and good company.

Cuatro's.  I would come to your establishment all the time if things were different between us.

You see, I live a mere two hundred yards from you.  I glance at your menu every once in a while to see if anything has changed, hoping that you've honed the menu and pared down the choices, meaning that you're focusing better on execution. But each (rare) time I visit, you choose to slap an un-tasty and pricey hand in my face.

Are you a sports bar or a real restaurant?  Yuppie haven or campus hangout? Cuatro's, God bless you, but you're suffering from an unappealing identity crisis.  I get it if you're gunning for a more affluent crowd.  But are yuppies supposed to lack taste buds?  Last night my roommate and I ($30 Groupon in hand) had some dripping-wet fried pickle chips, room-temperature shrimp queso, and some bland fusion stuff called the Kona tacos.

Okay, say you're aiming for college kids.  I get it if you want to screw around in the kitchen and whip up some easy and greasy bar food.  But a $5 bowl of chips and Velveeta queso, with no add-ins/fixin's?  This ain't Canada!

I could have walked across the street to the Peached Tortilla, had catfish tacos for half the price, three times the flavor, and walked back over to Cuatro's only to miss a couple plays of the Texans' game.  Groupon, you win out again.

Still: Cuatro's, I believe in your location, your commitment to showing three games at a time, and your divinely wide televisions.  Give your kitchen a little backbone to justify those exorbitant prices, reduce all prices by 20%, or keep giving out those excellent Groupon specials, and we'll talk.

I've driven by so many times, I'm glad I finally stopped in.

Cuatro's is a casual, well-designed, patio & sports lovers paradise on the edge of West Campus.  Factor in delicious food and friendly staff and management, and you seem to have a recipe for success.

Well, you do.  Cuatro's is a perfect place to grab a beer, chow down on some Chipotle Chicken Tacos or Veggie Quesadilla and watch every soccer match you have ever desired on well-placed HDTVs or the mega TV, the "Cuatrotron," a 20-foot monster on the main patio that can probably heat popcorn at 20 yards.

Cool shady spots inside, comfy spots under umbrellas outside, and a combination of patio and covered deck that means everyone has a place to sit and watch and cheer.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Cuatro himself too--(the 4th child), there to lend more than his name to the establishment, real hands-on participatory management, something that lots of bars that come and go quickly sorely lack.

Cuatro's does it right.  Stop in for a pint and a bite and cheer on the boys in Chelsea blue!

I was debating purchasing the coupon on http://www.adealio.com for Cuatros, because some of the reviews on here are from customers who had terrible experiences,

HOWEVER-I'm so glad I did! I had a great experience at Cuatros. The fish tacos & shrimp tacos are AMAZING, and their chili rice is pretty good too (which is the side for these entrees). We also got the guacamole & chips, which was great.

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and while we did wait a few minutes to be greeted, I was expecting that due to reading these reviews before hand. However, that's somewhat to be expected when you seat yourself.

Great outdoor atmosphere, the ubiquitous sauce that they put on the fish & shripm tacos is great and SPICY.

We went around 6PM on a Friday and had nothing bad to say about the experience. I will definitely be back to grab a beer and some munchies!

Cuatros is one of those places that you REALLY want to give a good review of, but there just seems to be a lot of "eh" factors.

First, the food. The portion size here is pretty tiny.  I've ordered the portobello tacos and the veggie tacos, both were tasty, but I could have had two plates of them.  Thankfully, they're pretty damn cheap.  Apps are inexpensive, especially during happy hour.  The fried pickle chips are yummy.

Second, the dranks.  The dranks here are 'eh'.  I tested my ladies marg - it was grody.  I would have returned it, but she insisted on finishing it even though it was gross.  Good news, the Sunday all day happy hour makes this a great place for cheap ass beers and football.

The patio is decent.  I wouldn't recommend sitting on the picnic tables for a lot of time though because it puts a lot of stress on the ole' backski.

The service has been mostly a miss.  I'm fairly certain that they ask the female servers to wear really tiny shorts.  That's a plus in my book, ha.  However, the few times that I have been here, the service has been relatively inattentive.  I think they were serving tables all over the restaurant or something.

Anyways, 3 stars is the best I can do.  Place is alright, take it with a grain of salt.  I'll probably be back to catch a game or two.
