This place always seems empty when I pass by but my mom suggested we go here for dinner one night. We live in the mini-mecca of jja jang myun and Korean food but my mom seems to think the further you travel, the better food tastes for some reason.
Anyway, the night we went, the parking lot was surprisingly packed. It turned out there was a private party in the main dining area so they stuck us in some tiny room with 3 tables. I mean, that's fine, whatever, no big deal. The food was very disappointing. The jja jang myun was not very good and the kam-pong shrimp was wasn't good either and kinda over-priced I think. I would never go back!
My first visit here was extremely mediocre. The broth of the wonton soup was very much like Campbells chicken soup, but the wontons itself were ok. The main dish was uninspired. Figured I'd liven it up with some condiments, which was a mistake because one of them was vinegar. Woops.
The biggest mistake the server made was failing to bring the White Guy any kim chi. I mean, it is sitting right out in the open with out any refrigeration. It wasn't even that good. Oh well...another $10 down the drain.
I didn't see the Cha Jang Mein on the menu, and perhaps I'll order it the next time I am here...which won't be for a while.
This place has decent jjajangmyun, but my cousins and auntie from Korea say that everything here is a bit salty. Do not, I repeat, do NOT eat their egg drop soup. Never order it, and do not taste it if it comes with something else. I regret that move.
