    Yet another sucess from Cruzers.
I keep it simple and order cheese while my adventurous boyfriend gets his half with chicken/garlic/pesto.
Always delivers quickly- less than 10 minutes if you pick it up there!

I've never had another vegan pizza but I'm quite happy with this!

Lots of people talk about the pizza here. I'm going to talk about the philly cheesesteak. Being from Philly, and having had probably the best vegetarian cheesesteaks ever there (RIP Giannas Grille), I'm always on the lookout for them. It took me 4 days of living in LA to find this place and it's all thumbs up for me. The cheesesteak was awesome (although not quite as good as Giannas, but then nobody's will be).

The place is small, with only a few seats, but the service was really friendly and you can get here by metro (I live in DTLA and I'm carless at the moment). I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu, especially the pesto pizza and the bbq chicken!

Long-overdue review of this amazing eatery. Most importantly: it's a freakin' VEGAN pizzeria!! You like something on the menu? Order it. No need to ask questions about hidden animal ingredients. The Jamaican pizza is good but the bbq chicken pizza is even better. Too bad there's not more seating inside. When the 'za is ready I like to chow down.

I found Cruzer Pizza & Pasta on YELP.  I stopped by Cruzers on Saturday first off just let me say that any reviews of bad service must be from someone who can not be happy with anything.

I spoke with the owner and he was extremely friendly.  I ordered the small cheese pizza.  As waited I could smell the smell of a good pizza coming my way.  I was not disappointed.  I took extra menus to give to my neighbors.

If you are looking for good veggin pizza...this is they place.

Came here for the first time a little over a month ago. I've been back five times since! Incredible vegan pizza and pastas.

My favorite so far has been the pesto pizza since I am a pesto fanatic... But I like to try something different every time. They always use just the right amount of Daiya cheez.

To top it off they're super friendly.... Definitely my favorite neighborhood spot!

So I ate here twice in less than a week, and would go again today if somebody wanted to join me.

Finally, a place with an ENTIRE VEGAN PIZZA MENU!  And for good measure, vegan pastas and sandwiches.  You can even get gluten-free crust, but I love me some gluten.

We tried the Jamaican pizza first: loaded with "chicken" and "sausage," as well as veggies, this pizza was so heavy on toppings it was impossible to keep 'em all on your slice.  It had a lot of flavor and was very filling, not that that stopped us from getting a side of cheesy potato wedges with a very convincing vegan ranch dressing.

Our second visit resulted in my vegan homeboy saying it was the best dinner he could remember in quite some time: the gourmet pesto pizza (tons of spinach, artichoke, and resulting in some major garlic breath), and the "meat" lasagna, which we ate like someone was about to steal it.  Daiya cheese may be expensive, but there was no skimping on the lasagna.  The sauce was delicious and plentiful (dip your pizza crust in it!), and I found myself sad when we'd managed to completely decimate it.

The people who work at the shop are really nice, which is an added bonus.  The only drawback I can think of to Cruzer is that you can't really eat there: they have a counter with three stools, and a tiny table with two chairs.  I'd love to be able to comfortably sit and eat my dinner, especially because the 15-minute drive home is too long to wait to eat!

I'm not vegan, but this vegan pizza joint definitely hits the spot. Located in Los Feliz, Cruzer Pizza is a vegan/vegetarian pizza fan's dream. Tons of toppings, melty Daiya cheeze, and really good crust help set this place apart from the more lackluster no-meat pies around town. While this isn't a sit-down pizzeria, it's still a great place to pick up a pizza and head over to Barnsdall Park for an impromptu picnic with your non-animal eating friends. We picked up a large "pepperoni" pizza ($16) then walked across the street to Cap 'N Cork for refreshments while the pie was in the oven. Quick and convenient. I was skeptical of this place at first, but I am now a firm believer. I look forward to exploring the menu more and trying their Quarry Girl pizza (named after the popular local vegan blogger).

    And da cowz say:
    Moo, muh-moo, muh-moo, moo-moo-moo, Moo, muh-moo, muh-moo, moo-moo-moo, mooooooooo!

Been dying to try Cruser forever...so far, so good!!  They've won over my skeptical hubby, too. We are loving the Quarry Girl pizza with lots of garlic, mushrooms and spicy spicy sausage!

Pizza held up really nicely for take out...no wobbly za bending under the weight of pools of grease, etc.

There is a slight tang of white wine to the flavor--it may be unique to this particular pizza.  Not sure if it's the pizza or the daiya cheese..

    UPDATE:
Oof.  The daiya really upset my stomach, it's 7am the next day and I still feel yucky.  Maybe I can try the QuartyGirl pizza with no cheese--seems like it doesn't even need it.

A big thank you to our friend Courtney H for recommending Cruzer. The wife was craving pizza but unfortunately she was on a restricted no dairy diet. I am so glad that Cruzer has a vegan pizza available for those that do not eat meat or dairy. The vegan meat pizza was really good. I know it didnt taste like real meat but i gotta admit that i really liked it. The daiya cheese is a great choice for pizza. I am a carnivore at heart and would definitely order any vegan pizza again.

The Margarita Pizza was very good, which means this place is a legitimate pizzeria in my book. If you can make a good margarita pizza, then you the rest of the pizzas are probably okay. :) I really liked the texture of the crust on this pizza and was very impressed with the consistency considering it is vegan food. :) I really liked the Indian Kima pizza, but I can't handle a lot of spice so I only had two slices. There is a huge variety of different vegan pizzas and you also have the option of gluten-free crusts.

    (in Scottish Mike Myers accent)

    I CRAVE IT FORTNIGHTLY.

Seriously, so good. My non-vegan friends can't ever even tell the difference. The Margherita, BBQ Chicken, and Chicken Pesto are all phenomenal. My roommate and I can finish off a large without even blinking.

The vegetable are all fresh and organic, even down to the cilantro, basil, and garlic. The crust is delish too, i save it for last and then dip it balsamic or hummus.

I haven't tried their pasta yet, because every time I order my brain is wired for pizza and pizza only.

Their delivery is fast and I believe until 10:00 pm-ish.

    I might eat it tonight.

Oh, WOW.  I will preface this by saying I have been eating animal-based pizzas in the past... the more meat and cheese, the better.  In re-evaluating my food choices and how they impact me and the world around me, I have been leaning into a vegan diet.  I'll be honest and say that I am nervous, uncomfortable, and kinda stubborn about reducing the frequency I eat my faves... cheese and meat.

I ordered a margareta pizza from Cruzer, not knowing what to expect from the many mixed reviews here... and for the sake of my flaming passion for cured, dried meats, I added on the pepperoni.

Verdict:  DAMN, that cheese is creamy and delicious, VERY satisfying.  If this is what Daiya cheese is all about, I feel immensely better about foregoing cheese most of the time.  The pepperoni could pull the wool over even my own brother's eyes -- and he loves pepperoni.  The sauce is killer and the crust is tasty... hard to believe it's gluten free!

I could prattle on because of how happy I am right now, but I just want to say... don't hesitate to order from here, it's truly delicious and comforting to know I can still eat pizza and maintain my goals.  And I would urge you to ignore the reviews complaining about prices... I strongly believe this is an excellent value for what you are getting.  I don't think most people know much small bag of Daiya cheese costs (A LOT!), and they've gotta earn a profit somehow.

I am very excited to try more things... I am truly grateful for places like Cruzer.

I woke up this morning to arguing and fisticuffs.

"I taste better than you! You're a jerk!" shouted Meatball.

"What the hell do you know? You're just jealous because you're not as popular as me!" screamed Sausage.

"Can't we all just get along?" pleaded Mushroom.

I agreed with Mushroom, but no one was listening to either of us. Meatball called Sausage a filthy whore, and Sausage said something about Meatball's mom.

Meatball kicked Sausage in the knee right around then, then Sausage pulled Meatball's hair, and in the ensuing melee, Mushroom tumbled forcefully around in my belly, yelling for me to call 911.

That will teach me to eat  vegan pizza so late and then stay up until 1am talking about my feelings. I felt a lil better after walking to get a cup of coffee.

Still, very tasty pizza with a yummy crust and the perfect amount of cheese, so five stars!!

LOVE THIS PLACE! Pizza tastes sooooo good when you have it here. Can't say though that the pizza is as good when brought home.

Thin crust was just awesome. Love it. Go!! Cruzer  Go!! you are the best Vegan pizza in California !!

Tried Cruzer for the first time today and I was blown away.

I've been vegan for a little over a year, and I've FINALLY satisfied my craving for a BBQ "chicken" pizza!

I went with my brother, who is a meat-lover, and he loved the pizza as much as I did. In fact, we both killed a large (14-inch) pizza in a sitting! The pizza exceeded my already-high-expectations.

I'll be back for more. That's a fact.

Best vegan pizza ever. Spoken by a long-time vegan who's tried 'em all. If I ever taste a better vegan pizza, my mind will explode. And while this is decidedly *not* healthfood, did you know that all, yes I said all, vegan food is cholesterol free? It's true, dudes. Not-vegan people never seem to believe this fun fact, so don't take my word for it, look it up! Seriously, though. Vegan food: cholesterol free, all of it, even the pizza. Knowledge is power.

Other info: It's true that this is a take-out and delivery joint only. Only has a teeny side bar that you can sit at while you wait for your pizza. I guess you could eat there, if you really wanted to. I recommend the call-ahead take-out or delivery options, unless you live far away or something. BUT! but but, if that's your situation, you can go to Desert Rose, the big restaurant next door that has outdoor seating, heat lamps, a fancy bar, all that - they serve Cruzer pizza stuff there.

People also may be interested to know that Cruzer's menu is quite eclectic. You can get pizza, calzone-type stuff, pasta. The pizza options range from exotic Indian style pizza to meat lover's. My personal fave is getting the build-your-own veggie pizza and then adding sausage or pepperoni (which costs a little extra), and THEN trying to beat my all-time record of how many slices I can eat at one sitting. I'm only at 4 right now, but I'm confident I can get up to 5. Do you know of any other pizza that is both a food and a game? I don't.

Pretty dang good. Recently tried Purgatory Pizzas Vegan pie and was kind of bummed as to how small it was. It almost felt like an empty box. I was expecting a similar experience with Cruzer, but i was surprised to find my medium pizza to be pretty substantial. I had the 6 vegitable topping pie.  Pretty tasty!

I think it's time to clarify a few misconceptions about vegan pizza. First of all, you don't have to be vegan to enjoy it. I've sampled slices across the city, from Vito's to Tomato Pie. I adore the gooey texture of dairy, pooled with rich amber grease. But I find myself returning to Cruzer's week after week for their sumptuous Daiya cheese. Its mouthfeel is extraordinary, like clotted cream and oat paste. I kid you not.

What's more, vegan pizza isn't a "health" food. Look up the stats and you'll find that Daiya is almost calorically identical to mozzarella. Naturally, it contains less cholesterol and arguably benefits the world. But it retains all the rich, filling pleasure of a dairy pie. This is not the Kosher equivalent of "real" pizza. Take on a Cruzer's pie with a pint of Samuel Smith and feel your higher brain functions melt away.

Whenever I'm at home watching Antiques Roadshow, I like to order the vegan "meat pizza" with an extra side of vegan ranch. There's something about the combination that really makes you care about colonial furniture. Their bread sticks are excellent, although I'd avoid the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Delivery is quick in the Los Feliz area and I've heard Desert Rose sells their pies.

I've been to a lot of flavorless, unprofessional vegan joints in my time, and Cruzer's beats them all. The only comparable vegan pie I've tasted is at Cheezy Pizza in Colton, but that's a world away for most of us. Pick up the phone and abandon your preconceptions...it's worth the trip.

I'm not vegan but one of my co workers is, so we decided to give this place a shot.  We ordered the Jamaican "chicken" pizza and it was better than I expected!  I'm not sure that I would voluntarily go eat vegan pizzas if my co worker isn't with me, but I wouldn't mind eating their pizzas or try their other dishes again.

It's not exactly a sit down place, so I would order for delivery.

Cruzer Pizza is the best pizza in Los Angeles, and it's Vegan. Wow.

It was a memorable weekend, to say the least.  I had just gone vegan, had just had a thrilling hike in Malibu with my Veggie Hikers friends, and I was starving.  I had heard of this place from another hiker, and I really was craving some good pizza.

Now for some people, pizza is a treat, but I'm a pizza snob.  When I was 19 I managed my first pizza place, a Domino's Pizza.  I would spend almost my entire shift doing nothing but making pizzas.  I learned quickly how to stretch out a perfect crust that had no bubbles, evenly thick dough throughout the pizza. I learned how to proof (allow the yeast and sugar to work in the flour) the dough until the pizza wasn't too hard or two crumbly.  Properly proofed dough tastes a little sweet, while underproofed dough is salty and papery tasting, and overproofed is tasteless. I learned how to love the smell of the perfect marriage of dough to sauce, that sharply sweet smell of tomato sauce cooking with the yeasty dough.

So as I walked into the place, I was hit with that smell almost immediately!  I was taken back to a few years of my life seeking pizza perfection.  The owner came out and took my order, and this guy had all the markings of a pizza guy.  Muscular forearms (needed to properly press out the gas bubbles, called docking), clean fingernails covered with just a think layer of flour that went across his arms and apron.

I ordered my favorite pizza, mushroom and bell pepper.  Just as I was waiting I could hear a lot of women in the other room talking loudly and excitedly.  One of them came out, a breathtaking blonde who asked if I was vegan and wanted to try some of their new pizzas.  Who am I to argue with beautiful women?  Anyway, she gave me a slice of the Quarry Girl pizza.  Wow! I don't normally dig fake meats, but this pizza was exquisite.  When you leave off the tomato sauce and use olive oil it's called a "white" pizza. This one had Portabella mushrooms, vegan sausage (match meats), and fresh basil.  I had no idea who QuarryGirl was at the time, but I was in flavor heaven.

I found out later that this was one of the first places to use Daiya cheese. Daiya cheese is both a blessing and a curse to a pizza.  It has a creamy flavor and stretches like cheese... but it's lacking any real flavor by itself.  Therefore it needs to be paired with herbs and garlic to really taste good (I personally combine it with nutritional yeast in my own kitchen pizzas).  Normally their very bold pizza sauce marries with it perfectly, but the perfectly proofed dough with the basil made it sweet, and the sausage was perfectly salty.  Nice flavor!

Did I mention this place is entirely vegan?

I can honestly say Cruzer's is a fantastic location and I hope they open up new locations soon (I suggest SANTA MONICA and PASADENA).

Five Stars for the best vegan pizza in all of Los Angeles.  I'm saying this because I've tried all the other vegan pizzas in LA, and they're head and shoulders the BEST.

I had their http://QuarryGirl.com Pizza today and it was really good.  I shared it with 4 non-vegetarians plus 1 vegetarian, and they all really liked it and were surprised that a vegan pizza could taste so good.

I found out that Cruzer Pizza has new owners for the past few months.  That's good because Cruzer now opens at 10am.  (They used to be open starting at 4pm which wasn't very good for me or for their business.)

I had only been to Cruzer Pizza one other time and had their calzone and that was very good too.

I'll definitely be back to try their other pizzas.

To all the people giving this a place a bad review because you like real cheese better: 99.9% of pizza places use real heart clogging, fat, gassy gut producing dairy and meat... go there! bon appetite to your diabetes and animal cruelty. Cruzer is for those of us trying to escape The Meatrix.

As a vegan, this is the kinda place that you dream about existing. A 100% vegan pizza place seems like an oxymoron, but let me tell you, it is better than the real thing.
I used to have BBQ chicken pizza (regular pizza with real chicken at another location) all the time, and when I became vegan of course I could not have it anymore. I was so happy to hear that they had a BBQ vegan pizza, and I just had to get it right away. It was honestly the BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD. Hands down the best pizza in Los Angeles, and beats anything in the Bay Area as well. The BBQ chicken pizza definitely is one of my favorite foods now and I only wish I lived in LA so I could have it every day.
The crew there is also very nice and very welcoming. I also tried the meat lasagna, which was also delicious and highly recommended, and the cheese bread sticks which tasted like the real thing. If you are  vegan and live in LA, you HAVE TO try this place. You will get addicted to it. And if you're a vegan visiting LA, this place should be at the top of your list of places to eat.
Sure there are other places that do vegan pizzas, but none of them come close to being as good as this place. They have so many options, so many toppings, and they are served with the highest quality. I'll be repping Cruzer Pizza for life!

Their food is good.  Their service and attitude is crap.  I've been a regular customer, for delivery ofcourse, for the past year.  They messed up my order at least twice, didn't apologize, said they would come back to fix the mistake and never showed up.   The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt.  I kindly confronted them about that and they gave me attitude, "We're busy, we're busy". By the second time, I started to think they didn't care.  So that's the end of me doing business with them.

Vegan Philly Cheesesteaks are the greatest invention ever.  And outside of Philadelphia, Cruzer does it the best.  Why?  Because it tastes greasy and messy and artery clogging, which is exactly what I want when I eat a cheesesteak.  Most other veggie places make a good, delicious sandwich, but the problem is they taste too healthy.  Not Cruzer!  The gooey "cheese" and mounds of "meat" takes me back to a time when I was too young to care about the state of my heart or my waistline.

Their only flaw is the side of steamed veggies.  If I'm eating a cheesesteak, the only veggies I want are already in the sandwich.  Don't remind me that I'm actually eating something relatively healthy.  Don't you dare.

I'm sure vegans would totally appreciate this place ...

I thought  I would too but after eating vegan mozzarella on the margherita pizza ...  I REALLY appreciate THE REAL THING NOW! =) The vegan version is kinda pasty and has this surreal creaminess to it that I don't like.

Very limited parking and take out only it seems (no seats inside).
You can order online which I think is pretty cool. =)

It's hard to locate...but it's right in back of "Desert Rose" restaurant.

While there is a certain misunderstanding among some of what it means when someone says "I'll have the Vegan Chicken", it's because of places like Cruzer Pizza & Pasta that the strange looks are getting fewer as the years go by.

Now, as a fish eating vegetarian, I cannot claim to not be able to enjoy pizza without a vegan option. I regularly frequent other local Silverlake Pizzerias. The sheer delight in Cruzer does not stem from need rather than want.

    I ordered:
    BBQ chicken pizza
Garden salad with vegan ranch dressing

    Previous order:
    Chicken Parmesan

For those of you who have never had Daia cheese (the cheese substitute), don't expect to have it melt into beautiful strings as if it were a fresh mozarella but do expect to be pleasantly surprised by the creativity that Cruzer uses with all of their components to recreate Pizzeria must haves in a 100% vegan way. The cheese will never be cheese, the "chicken" will never be chicken but despite this conscious knowledge that you can't avoid when eating Cruzer, eat just because it's pretty bad ass that they've pulled it off so well.

I love Cruzer! For my 4th meal from Cruzer, I decided to be a bit lazy and get it delivered. It usually takes me 15 minutes to get there from my house, so I assumed 45 min or more to cook and deliver my food. I received my hot Hawaiian pizza and breadsticks 25 minutes later. Holy smokes! While placing my order, I did hear him telling the cook, so they must have started preparing right away!

I used to be vegan, but now, as someone whose digestive tract is totally anti-dairy, I still need my pizza fix from time to time. Daiya cheese is that fix. It's not terribly cheese-like, but the melty, stretchiness makes it very believable! This Hawaiian pizza was phenomenal. I've never liked ham, and I'm not sure this even tastes like ham, but it was thoroughly tasty!

If you want a lazy dinner, call and place a delivery order! It's totally worth it!

BEST VEGAN PIZZA IN MY LIFE

There is nothing better in the WORLD than Cruzer's.
    Daiya Cheese.
    BBQ Chicken.
    Quality, FRESH, versatile ingredients.

I don't have ONE negative thing to say. Been here 3 times and everytime was better than the last. I want to expose Cruzer's to the world! I hope it turns into a chain so there is one closer to me. Hell - I'm even willing to move to the damn area to have it be a part of my life.

Sometimes dreams really do come true... Really, when I heard that they had vegan pizza, I thought there must be a catch, but no, it's better than I even imaged. The crust is amazing! The cheese is good for vegan cheese, but I usually order it "light on the cheese" because the texture can be slimy when the cheeser is heavy-handed. The pesto pizza is my fave--especially if you add vegan sausage. I am always surprised at how quickly they delivery. They always say 40 minutes, but it usually comes in 20-30. The vegan cupcakes are super yummy too.

The delivery drives are total sweethearts, and they are also very nice on the phone.

Have I really not written a review about Cruzer yet?  WTF?  This place kicks ass...like mega hardcore style.  ;)  It's not a sit down and eat place, although they have a few bar stools, so I recommend  delivery or pick up.  I have eaten the Hawaiian and the Vegetable pizzas.  They are both delicious, but the Hawaiian is better in my opinion because it has more tomato sauce.  I am a tomato sauce LOVER.  I'd do it with tomato sauce if it weren't messy and I wouldn't feel guilty after.  hmm....you already know too much.  I must go....
