The name stands for all the crumbs that get dropped into your hand onto the floor when you dive into these super duper big cupcakes with loads of frosting. Making any fat kid happy for many sugar hours out of the day. I have been blessed to try the West Coast and East Coast location. YUMMY! Love both...
Move over bitchy Sprinkle B*tches with your over rated cupcakes and making your peep's wait outside on the sidewalk to seem "special" in Beverly Hills. Give me a break...Your cupcakes are Stale Tasting and dry out too much!
I love the mini cupcake box of try outs. You have to buy this at least once to try the many flavors of Sugar Sex for your mouth!!!!!!!!! Thank You, Fat Artie Lange for putting Crumbs on the map!!!!!!!!!!

This place is delicious!  It's right next to sprinkles and personally I think its much better.  The only problem is that there are so many great types, you'll have a hard to choosing.

Just make sure you dont bring a lot of money or  youll buy the whole store. Their cupckaes are intricate and decadent almost ot the point of parody. It seems tough to make it through a whole one.

Crumbs has terrible service.  With only five people in line behind us, the girl behind the counter stopped in the middle of packaging up our cupcakes to help someone behind us who didn't want to wait.  So we had to wait for him to order and pay before completing our transation.  There was no reason he couldn't wait, we only ordered four cupcakes.  Their cupcakes might be larger than Sprinkles but from now on I'll go to Sprinkles.

All of you in socal are hella lucky(could you tell where i'm from) to have all these great bakeries within a short distance.  I have to drive (and i have done it just for food) at least six hours just to get there.

All though I wouldn't say that these cupcakes taste better than sprinkles (i've never done a side by side taste comparison but that does sound like a good idea), the amount of cupcake you get for the price you pay is awesome.  There cupcakes are huge.  The staff was also super friendly and they have a public restroom close by (after driving six hours that's really important).

I also tried their cookies.  They were good but I wouldn't make the drive for their cookies.

Does the world need another cupcake review?  Does the world need another cupcake shop?  If I'm the reviewer and the shop is Crumbs, the answer is YES.

Crumbs beats Sprinkles.  And SusieCakes.  And pretty much anything else you can find.  It just wallops the competition.  There is no competition.  It's Crumbs, that' sit, end of story.

The best?  Raspberry Swirl.  Red Velvet.  Coconut.  Fudge Chocolate Chip.  I'm getting excited just thinking about it (you know, like REALLY excited).

They're huge and the frosting is amazing and they even keep well (see how long you can go without eating them, though).

Both times I've ordered over the phone, the staff has been incredibly nice and attentive, they really couldn't make it any easier.  The one time they were delivered to the office, they showed up on time and in perfect condition.

Game over, kids.  Crumbs it is.

Crumbs' cupcakes beats Sprinkles' hands down ANYDAY. The cake is so fluffy and light and the frosting is soooo good!!! The cupcakes are also pretty much twice as big as your average cupcake...which never hurts. They have a Boston Creme one I really wanna try...gooey custard filled goodness yummm

I have to give credit to Crumbs for the Twinkie cupcake...it looks beautiful. We also had the cookie dough and the Snickers cupcake, and they also looked great. Unfortunately, everything else about them was just the opposite.

The cake is generally good, but the frostings are just too sweet....like after one bite I-almost-fell-into-diabetic-shock sweet. Maybe it's because I'm not that big on buttercream frosting...generally, it's just too heavy and tends to overwhelm any other flavors.

It's like the cilantro of sweets. ;-)

So if you really like buttercream, Crumbs might be the place for you. But if I get a cupcake urge next time I'm in L.A., I'm going back to Dainties and their devil's food cakes with flavored whipped cream frostings. And if I ever get an urge for something that looks like Twinkie, I'll get myself the real, artificiallly flavored, chemically processed original.

Thank you for reminding me that people can still bake and do it right.  While the prices are slightly steep, the tastiness and creativity (and wonderfully nice sales people) make these little lovelies worth every delicious penny!  A friend told me the vanilla is a little eh, but the Snickers cupcakes made me weep!

ok cupcakes, but the staff was beyond rude!   the staff of airhead girls made the cast of Hills look like Rhodes scholars.  I would rather wait in the line down the street for cupcakes and deal with that place ever again!

I had to give them one star for posting, but they did not even deserve that!

Definitely over-rated (and kind of dry!).  I rather use the money that would buy me one cupcake to buy a box of cupcake mix and a jar of frosting.  With 4 cupcakes, we only took a piece of each and dumped the rest.

Seeing it in the garbage can was better than seeing it in my stomach.

This place is a no-go.

For Valentine's Day, I came to Crumbs for 5 cupcakes for the boyfriend and (I swear) my bag of cupcakes weighed almost 5 lbs. Then I sampled all his cupcakes and they were all soooo delicious it was hard to choose a favorite haha. Nicely decorated, a little expensive, but absolutely worth it. I really enjoyed the Devil Dog and the chocolate cake with cream filling--forgot the name. But yes, I would choose Crumbs over Sprinkles any day. =]

I am really into cakes and icings.  I have to admit, the actual cake at Crumbs is really good.  If you're just trying to get a basic vanilla cupcake, it is way better than Sprinkles, Yummy or Leda's Bake Shop.  But the icing was just weird to me.  I'm an icing freak!  I love buttercream icing.  Can't get enough.  I think people these days are just trying to get too fancy with it.  I felt the icing at Crumbs had a weird taste to it.  I couldn't really put my finger on it.  It wasn't too sweet, it just wasn't right for some reason, I think I was told it had a cream cheese base.  It might have been a little sour or old or something.  That could have been it.   But I typically love cream cheese frosting, too.  I'm going to definitely go back.  If I have a better icing experience, I will definitely revise my review.

After shopping for a cute and dress on Saturday afternoon, I had a craving for Baja Fresh.  After eating Baja Fresh, I might as well make it worth my time and top it off with a cupcake.

My sister introduced me to this evil establishment after she tried it at the Hampton's and furthered her decent to the dark forces in New York.  When they opened the store in Beverly Hills, I was able to resist until she visited; and now, I have a hard time avoiding it when I shop.

Purchasing a dress usually is enough to motivate me to not indulge but sometimes it just gets me.  Enough of sitting in front of my computer, I got to go jog and fit into that dress I just bought.

Been here twice.  The first time got 4 cupcakes to share among 4 people.  General consensus was that the cupcakes were way too sweet and nothing spectacular.  Came back again with the bf (whose eyes are bigger than his stomach) after we saw that the spinkles line was too long.  Somehow we ended up getting 4 cupcakes.  I think its interesting that the different flavors of cupcakes come in different textures.  Some are really moist and soft and some are not.  So it can be pretty hit or miss which i came to realize.  I did find a good cupcake in the boston creme.  It had no creme but it wasnt overly sweet and the cake was soft and moist.  I might come back in the future just for that. one..

If you go to Sprinkles for their design experience, then you must go to Crumbs for the taste of their cupcakes.  Just as pricey as Sprinkles, yet you get more for what you pay for.  More cupcake, more frosting, more filling, and more smiles from their employees.

Crumbs cupcakes are bomb.  They're not as dense and dry as Sprinkles, and they package them in plastic containers that fit each cupcake just perfectly.  They also sell mini-cupcakes-- for those who want a little taste of everything.

Get their cupcakes that are inspired by candy bars (such as Snickers) or their Hostess cupcakes, such as the aptly-named Hostess cupcake and the Twinkie cupcake.  I also adore the cappucino cupcakes.

i was really full after eating at pizza rustica but i walked by this place and had to go in!  there is so much "curb appeal" about the store.  their beautifully and colorfully decorated cupcakes just draw you in the store!

their frosting is really really good and the cake is super moist.  i had the red velvet cupcake and i couldn't finish it even though i ate it in small increments throughout the day kuz it was SO BIG.

i put it in the fridge and brought it to school the next day and it was still SOOO good and moist!

their selection is amazing, and not as pretentious as sprinkles!  they also sell a sampler with like 12 mini cup cakes of all their popular flavors for $18!

My girlfriend's roommate came home gloating about having gone to Sprinkles and having amazing cupcakes. So of course I wanted to go get some cupcakes immediately. But unfortunately, immediately was like 7 in the evening, so Sprinkles was closed.

So we were wandering around stalking out a sugar fix when we see Crumbs. Well, ha-ha. Can't have Sprinkles, you get the Crumbs instead!

Crumbs was manned by a very thin, elegantly gay man who I assume is a dancer or actor or some other type of Hollywood hustler. He was polite, but not very chatty. He steered my girlfriend towards the coconut cupcake, which she thought was only decent.

I, on the other hand, got the weekly special, which was some raspberry chocolate thing. Not bad. A little sugary, a little light. Not quite the heavy moistness I associate with a really fine chocolate cupcake. It had some raspberry filling and a raspberry on top, but otherwise little trace of the berriness. I think that was its major flaw to me.

Still, a huge cupcake for like 3? 4? bucks served to you by one of LA's desperate to be discovered might really be someone's good time.

I liked Crumbs enough to laugh heartily at the dorks in line for Sprinkles.  NO cupcake is worth waiting in a line that is a block long!  I couldn't believe it!

I will concede, Crumbs frostings are a bit sweet, and the cupcakes are a bit large, but hell, if you split one, you come away with quite a deal.

Leda's, Delilah's, and Vanilla Bake Shop still come out ahead in the cupcake race for me, but Crumbs gets some points for wacky flavors, large size, and no long lines.

I have tried the chocolate with vanilla cream cheese, which was pretty good, the S'mores, which was AWESOME, and the banana split, which is really tasty as well, even though the heavy banana taste is kind of weird.  The Devil Dog flavor is nasty, unless you actually LIKE the fakey tasting flavor of Hostess cream filling.  Crumbs can make a very good tasting natural frosting, but in their efforts to replicate the Devil Dog experience, they have come a little too close to tasting like fakey Hostess cakes.  I think this is actually a compliment, but I personally didn't dig it.

PS they make a KILLER lemonade, from scratch to order.  They squeeze the lemons right there!  YUM!

These are the biggest cupcakes I've seen! They are humongous!

We ordered a few different kinds and I thought the cake portion of it was okay, not as moist as I hoped, but wasn't too bad. They have really unique and whimsical flavors, which is really cute. I didn't really like the filling in the cookie dough, it was too sweet with the frosting too. Lemon is my favorite flavor and I felt this one fell a little short. I was somewhat disappointed, I've had better cupcakes.

Eating a cupcake will bring you one step closer to diabetes. It's like eating a giant piece of candy. I prefer the mini-cupcakes - a taste of everything. If you have a huge sweet tooth, come here. The cake itself was not as moist as I would have liked. Overall, the cupcakes are good, but one cupcake is just too much to handle.

Why wait in the big ass Sprinkles line when you can go down the street a little bit and get much better underrated cupcakes at Crumbs?  The cupcakes are HUGE and they have flavors that no other cupcake place has - like the Caramel Apple cupcake or the Banana Split cupcake.  The frosting is about the same amount as the cake itself, but who can ever have enough fatty buttercream frosting?  Having thunder thighs would be worth it if I could eat these suckers everyday.  Still doesn't beat my #1 Susiecakes though.

Mmm, mmm! A coworker friend of mine bought a bunch, and gave me a delectable carrot cake cupcake from here. It was so good! Now, mind you, this cupcake had sat in the trunk of a car for two or three days. And, it was in the warm LA sun. BUT! The cupcake still tasted deliciously fresh and hearty when I finally got around to eating it. The cream cheese topping was delicious, the cake part of the cupcake soft, moist, and carroty, and overall, a cute presentation. I can't wait to come back here and try more, especially knowing how close it is to Sprinkles, my other fave cupcake haunt when I'm in LA ;)

Cupcakes are baked daily so they definitely taste fresh.  They also have a larger selection than Sprinkles, and the lines are never long, but I've gotta say they're a bit too sweet for me.  Candy bars mixed with heavy frosting and rich cake??  Looks and tastes great but I can never finish one.

Crumbs: Cupcakes for people who are too impatient to wait in line for Sprinkles.

Overly complicated toppings and mile high frosting that is so sickeningly sweet that even this dessert hound can't hack more than 1/4 of one of these miniature cakes.

I want to love the myriad of flavors...
I want to be relieved that unlike its rival just up the street, there are no lines...
I want to be overjoyed that these "Cup"cakes are gigantic.

But sadly in my humble doggie opinion the freshness, intricacy of flavor, quality of ingredients and presentation of these cupcakes doesn't  even compare with Sprinkles or Vanilla bakeshop.

I did try their cookies, and they were pretty tasty if you like soft, sweet peanut butter cookies the size of your head!
So, if you like your cupcakes filled with mediocre cream, topped with candy and smeared with super-sugary dense icing- stop clogging up the Sprinkles line and get yourself over to Crumbs right down the street!

For almost four months, I lived up the street from a Crumbs location in NYC, and every time I tried to go, it was closed! I kept missing it by mere minutes every time I was in the mood for a gigantic cupcake. I get out to LA, am wandering around Beverly Hills with a friend, and lo and behold, Crumbs. Of course we had to try it. I had the blackout, she had the hostess, both great. Went back with more friends today (more friends=more cupcakes to try, genius) and was blown away. The caramel apple and the carrot cake were unreal. I had the oreo, which was good, but not as good as those two. Wonderfully moist. It's hard to believe that a cupcake could be worth $3.25, but these ones were.

I just downed the equivalent of three mini-cupcakes, one quarter of each of twelve in the sampler pack. I typically use either red velvet or vanilla cake as my basis for comparison, and overall both were good.

- The red velvet is one of the best i've ever tried; the cake was nice and moist, and the frosting didn't have that sour cream tang to it that i usually dislike.

- The vanilla was decent. The cake felt a little dry, but the frosting made up for it, though it was a little too sweet (and that's saying a lot coming from the girl that dunks 4-5 sugars in her coffee!)

Service was awesome. We hung around for a bit and the guy behind the counter was waaay more patient than I was while the girls in front of me asked for specifics on what seemed like every-single-freaking cupcake in the case. "what's in this one?" "what's in the twinkie?" ...seriously???

They also get props for being open late, and getting re-stocked at odd hours of the night to avoid running out of your favorite flavor.

Not being much of a cake person, I haven't really embraced the cupcake trend.

These are good cupcakes.  Huge cupcakes, with delightful ganache or buttercream frostings, these taste like the sort of cupcake you might make yourself, should you have the time and the inclination to fill mini-cakes with cream.

I opted for the "Hostess Cupcake" because I secretly love them, my friends (first-timers to Los Angeles, and thus, an over-priced cake-eating adventure was required) also stuck with chocolate, ordering nostalgic flavors... Snickers and Oreo, I think.

Unfortunately, there's no place to sit and enjoy your monumental treat, so you have to walk down Rodeo Drive shoving a cake the size of a softball in your mouth.

Food trends have included all kinds of sweet treats each with their respective stores, and the fans that adore them. You got your Yogurt shops(Pinkberry and Yogurt Land), Ice Cream shops(31 Flavors, Ben and Jerry's, Cherry on Top, and some other trendy one's in LA),  Gelato shops(Coldstone etc...)Donut Shops(Randy's, SK's etc...), and one of the newest....Cupcake shops...

Having sampled the likes of Sprinkles, The Judy H.'s and lesser quality cakes...before I was familiar with all this cupcake conversation, and the legions that argue for their favorite.  I have heard and read some passionate arguments as to why "such and such's" cakes are better than "so and so's", even though deep down we all know that it all comes down to personal preference....like that crappy restaurant that all our friends hate but WE love to go to for some reason. After trying Crumbs I can say, that my personal preference for a professionally made cupcake is Crumbs.

Nestled in Bev. Hills Crumbs offers an orgy or cupcake treats, as well as some big ass stripper nipple sized cookies.  They have cupcakes priced a little less than 4 bucks that include the Hostess, a replica of those hostess ones we see, but made as if it were home made, the Brownie, a super rich chocolate cupcake with brownies in it, cookie dough, and assortment of others.  My girlfriend/Super secret member of the Crumbs Rah Rah Song team and I had the Hostess and the Brownie cupcakes.....Biting into the Brownie cupcake I was greeted with a Legion of richness that was awesome. Best damn frosting I have ever eaten...If you do not like richness in your cakes than look elsewhere. this is the Beverly Hills you know. The Hostess as good as well, the butter creme frosting and chocolate had me spraying the "chocolate rain" through my lips as I admitted its goodness....good thing my woman was wearing a black shirt...

Anyways 4.5/5 stars for this place....I like Rich tasting chocolate cupcakes...if you do, there is not much better than Crumbs for a professionally made up cupcake...consider me part of the spirit squad now

Crumbs is to blame for my latest sugar coma. I love the cake here, they really excel at this. It's moist but not greasy. The frostings are a bit sweet for my taste. The red velvet here is the best I have had, although I could do without the weird textural distraction of the chocolate drizzle and red sprinkles on this cupcake. I expected the Artie Lange to be injected with whiskey or some other intoxicating liquor. Expectedly though, it was totally loaded. Loaded with tons of sweet stuff, a bit more than I could handle. I had to cut it into fourths and eat a little bit over the course of a couple of days. From their website: "vanilla sponge cake with chocolate buttercream filling and Crumbs signature vanilla frosting topped with a layer of chocolate fondant and then finished with chocolate and vanilla sprinkles around the edge." Sound like enough for you? I also tried the Twinkie, which was probably my favorite next to the red velvet. They describe it as, "Vanilla cake with whipped vanilla buttercream filling topped with our signature vanilla buttercream frosting and covered in vanilla cake crumbs." This place is way better than Sprinkles, and I will be back for my next fix soon enough.

I was so thrilled to try the cupcakes at Crumbs but only to be disappointed.  Grant it, the cupcakes are monster size but it was more like a muffin than a cupcake.  Most of the cupcake icing are not made of buttercream but cream cheese.  I bought the caramel apple and the banana split and this was the first time i did not finish my dessert.  Sprinkles does a better job.  2 stars for the variety and opening late but there are better cupcakes out there.  The best in my book is still Sweet Things bakery in SF.

What sets this cupcake joint apart from the rest, is the fact that it's open late.  Sprinkles closes at about 7, and this place is open till 10!  And it's right down the street from Sprinkles!  Have an almost late night cupcake craving?  Go to Crumbs.  The NYC cupcakes have finally made it out to Southern Cali.

Pros:  Open late, a variety of different kinds of cupcakes, there aren't 9 million people in line, cupcakes are yummy, a little pricier than $3

Cons:  literally an inch thick of icing, bigger than your average cupcake, I never make it in time to get a red velvet cupcake!

Still prefer Susie's or Sprinkles.  They do have a wide a variety of flavors however the flavors are not memorable, it doesn't pop in my mouth.  If size matters then Crumbs would win but in this case size doesn't matter.

Had the pistachio cupcake and besides the few crushed pistachios on the side the entire cupcake had no taste of pistachios.  We also had the red velvet and strawberry and cream cheese but nothing memorable.

I think all cupcake places is overated but my wife loves them and is on a mission to try eveyone in the greater Los Angeles area.

Upon arriving in LA for the first time in my adult life I was informed I had to chose one of two slightly quirky LA sweets trends-Cupcakes or Ice Cream (gelati? something along those lines).  Obviously I went with the former, because here we are.

So in my opinion cupcakes, and indeed most any cake for that matter are simply a vehicle for icing.  In the icing world there are two camps-the butter creams or the ultra sugary.  I fall firmly into the sugary camp, Crumbs does not.  With that said, the icing was one of the better butter creams I've tasted-probably the best outside of testing for wedding cakes.

I got the Snickers, I enjoyed, I made a couple small sounds during my first bite.  I was a little disappointed that there didn't seem to be much difference between my Snickers and my neighbor's  Oreo, besides our little chunk of said flavor on top and the icing.  Even the filling on each was the same.  But overall, the cupcake was moist, the icing above par for a butter cream and at about four bites that spot on my back tooth (where i think I am getting a cavity) started to hurt a bit-so very satisfying overall.

So if you like butter cream this is the place, looses a point for price and not matching my said icing affiliation.

On a side note, how come LA gets to claim cupcakes as a trend, I'm from freaking Kansas (not exactly the trend setters of the world are we), and I have to tell you cupcakes are nothing new here...now a $4 cupcake...

THE LONGEST REVIEW OF CRUMBS EVER:

I don't know how anyone could like sprinkles after trying crumbs cupcakes. My grandma and I took a road trip up to Beverly Hills today for cupcakes to taste test crumbs and sprinkles.

We stopped at crumbs first and bought a caramel apple, artie lang and carrot cupcake. Then we stopped at la salsa for some lunch and broke open the cupcakes afterwards. I haven't eaten a cupcake in probably 3 years, so I was really excited.

caramel apple: The most heavenly cupcake i think I've ever eaten. The frosting was perfect, not too sweet, and the cake was moist and had chunks of apples in it! Soooo goood!

carrot cake: The cream cheese frosting was amazing and the cake part was moist and not spicy like a spice cake. Very good.

Artie Lang: Not as good as the rest, but still good and wayyy better than sprinkles. Frosting was VERY sweet but the cake wasn't too sweet so it evened it out. I probably wouldn't get it again though.

I would definitely make a trip up to Beverly Hills just for crumbs cupcakes. As for sprinkles, they're disgusting and taste like chemicals. I just don't understand why people like them. Anyways, it's kind of a good thing that sprinkles is in Newport Beach instead of Crumbs so I won't be eating cupcakes every weekend.

UPDATE 2/23/08:

I went back with my boyfriend today for a second time. There was a line this time too, which is good because they deserve a line more than sprinkles does. Anyways we got:

Caramel Apple: Still the best cupcake ever! My boyfriend agrees.

Reese's: The frosting was yummy and I liked the crunch of the mixed chips and peanuts on the outside. The cake was moist as well and it had a little peanut butter filling in the center.

Cookie Dough: I still don't see the cookie dough factor of it at all. The cake was vanilla with a fudge filling, plain buttercream frosting, with a yummy mini cookie on top. There was no cookie dough anywhere to be found, or any cookie dough flavor taste. hmm :[

Chunky Monkey(Flavor of the week): A chocolate cake with banana and chocolate and white chocolate chip buttercream. The banana flavor was intense, but still a yummy and creative cupcake.

Lemon Cream Cheese: Plain vanilla cake with a lemon flavored frosting. This was the most disappointing cupcake I've had at Crumbs. While I love the cream cheese frosting on their carrot cupcake, the lemon cream cheese didn't even taste like cream cheese. :[ It was a boring cupcake with overly sweet frosting.

Snickers: It was pretty good. Chocolate cake with some sort of tasty frosting with sprinkles and snickers on top. One of their best chocolate cupcakes.

Crumbs is still my favorite! :]

UPDATE #3:
I'm addicted to Crumbs. I can't stop making trips up to Beverly Hills to come here. My mom and I happened to be in the area getting sushi two days before my plans to come up here with my friends. I didn't want to get cupcakes without my friends, so my mom and I shared a lemon bar for dessert after lunch. It was very good, tart with a good crust. It was more cakey than most jelly-like lemon bars covered in powder sugar. 5 stars for the lemon bar!

UPDATE #4
My second trip to Crumbs in one week. I need to stop it. I didn't go too crazy this time and only got one caramel apple, one carrot cake and one red velvet. The caramel apple and carrot cake were delicious as usual. This was my first time trying their red velvet. I've been waiting for a long time to try it, so I was excited and it was SOOO GOOOOD. It's definitely more of a chocolate cupcake than red velvet, but it was moist, the frosting and sprinkles were delicious and I couldn't stop eating it.

mmmmm I love Crumbs so much.

I'm still getting over my cupcake hangover.

I usually pick up some Fudge Yummy cupcakes from Yummy Cupcakes in Santa Monica, but for Valentine's Day, I decided to brave it on over to Beverly Hills for a sixer from Crumbs.

It being Valentine's Day, traffic and parking was every bit the hassle I associate with going to BH.  I kept telling myself that the effort...to not go seriously off on all the jackasses competing for nonexistent parking spaces...was part of the present. :)

I'd had the foresight to pre-order my selection of cupcakes in case they'd run out with the holiday rush, but Crumbs was pretty well stocked when I arrived at lunchtime.  Pretty impressive eye candy to say the least.

My cupcakes were all packed up and ready to go!  I had ordered an assorted 12-pack of bite-sized cupcakes for my work pals and 6 of the monster 'cakes for the man.  I got:

Brownie - chocolate cake filled with fudge and topped with fudge frosting and brownie pieces...enjoyed this one immensely, although I still love the Fudge Yummy at Yummy Cupcakes just as much

Cookie Dough - vanilla cake filled with chocolate fudge and topped with vanilla frosting mixed with cookie dough...this one exceeded my expectations...great flavor combo

Blackout - choco cake filled with chocolate buttercream frosting and topped with chocolate fudge frosting rolled with chocolate crumbs...had high hopes for this one and was disappointed...spongey and flavorless

Caramel Apple - vanilla cake with apple filling and vanilla buttercream drizzled with caramel...BF's a chocolate guy and agreed with me that the caramel apple was pretty de-lish

Artie Lang - vanilla cake with choco buttercream filling topped with vanilla frosting and chocolate fondant....enjoyed this one...not  over-the-top decadent, but tasty for sure.

Kiss Me V-Day cupcake - vanilla cake with pink colored vanilla frosting...nice and simple, really allowed the flavor of the moist vanilla cake to shine ...went perfectly with a glass of rose champagne

Chocolate Strawberry - strawberry cake filled with strawberry preserves topped with chocolate cream frosting and pink sprinkles....mmmm i love strawberry cupcakes and chocolate-covered strawberries but wasn't sure how the chocolate would work with strawberry in a cupcake...this turned out to be a winner

Some places do frosting really well...others do a bang up job with cake.  I put Crumbs in the latter category....I've def tasted better frostings but their vanilla cake is to die for.  It took us four days to polish off our cupcakes and the cake was still perfectly moist to the last bite.

When I've FINALLY worked off  this Valentine's Day calorie fest, I wanna try the Devil Dog, Fluffernutter, Key Lime and Hostess next.  Scha-WING!

The variety is amazing and these HUGE icing-delivery systems that Crumbs calls "cupcakes" are simply to ... die ... for. I swear to you that the last time I was there I wanted to start chatting about a fake dinner party and order a dozen. Sadly, my hubby wouldn't play along.

Since it's a long weekend though (excuses, excuses ... I know), we each got two ...
Boston Creme Cupcake
Blackout Cupcake
Reese's Peanut Butter Cupcake
Fudge Chocolate Chip Cupcake

My only negativo on this joint is how small the customer area is. Once Crumbs catches on as being better than Sprinkles (and they will) ... the lemmings will start arriving. I predict riots. I can't imagine popping in here to pick up a call-in order like you can at Sprinkles ... it would seem like you were cutting in line. Mark my words ... extensions will fly when this place gets hopping!
