Cruiser's doesn't offer much in the way of ambiance but the food makes up for it.
It is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten and it consistently stays that way. The menu is a la carte, if you want fries you have to order them separately. My advice: split an order of cheese fries with bacon as an app and skip the fries with your meal.
The quesadillas are huge and quite filling. The chicken chunks (or whatever they call them) are quite good; I recommend the grilled variety. The iced tea is made just how a southerner likes it with lots of sugar. The drinks are large so you don't have to wait for a refill quite as often.
It can get crowded around lunch time and take a little while for your food, but if you go early (or late) it's easy to get in and out without a problem.
Best burger in town. Hot, juicy and huge. The fries are amazing. Very tasty for a reasonable price. Recommend the cheddar cheese burger with fully loaded cheese fries. It'll make you want to slap your Momma!
If you ever are Jax u have to stop here. BEST CHEESE FRIES I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IN THE US. That is a bold statement. If only i could have it sent over night to Cali it would be the best hangover food EVER.
ALso enjoy the burgers and the hUge Salad. I never go a trip home without CRUISERS
Cruisers, how I love thee! Your cheese fries, and chicken quesadillas have lined my stomach for years. When this place gets four stars Its only because the menu is somewhat limited. That being said, what they do; they do well. Get the cheese fries, the cheese burger, or the marinated chicken quesadilla. Everything else on the menu you can skip. If your looking for a greasy spot to cure a hangover this is your place.
The menu here isn't extensive and the service has always been average, however...their catfish sandwich, burgers, and fries are amazing. I'm sure the rest is much the same, but that's all I've had so far. The food might be greasy and relatively unhealthy, but man is it good! Great place for a weekend lunch or dinner after a long day.
Why is this place getting 4 and 5 stars? I have been a handful of times; a couple of people I work with like it for a "pig out" lunch spot. I'd never go for dinner.
I can understand going to a "dive" with excellent food, but when all you can say is "great ranch dressing and cheese fries," it's time to move along. Although it is the best ranch dressing I've ever tasted. Hence the 2 stars. If you must go, get the "Big Salad" with marinated chicken and both ranch and honey mustard dressings. It's really not a salad, but more like a heaping pile of chicken and cheese on a bed of lettuce.

My biggest problem is that I find the place dirty. The floor is so slippery from the layer of grease that has accumulated, that I have almost fallen.
The Ponte Vedra location is newer (slightly less dirty) and bigger than the Jax Beach location, which I vaguely remember catching on fire a few years back (maybe it was all the grease).
It's not the prettiest place in the world, but the food more than makes up for the lack of decor. Juicy burgers, hot fries with ranch - what more can you ask for?
Perfect hangover food! Kris and I indulged a bit too much on Friday night and were hurting and she recommended Cruisers. We cruised over there, barely able to keep everything down from the hangovers but settled into our booth and got our milkshakes, fries and burgers and everything was spot on!
The fries rock - nice and crispy - perfectly seasoned and with ranch to dip them in. The shakes were amazing- some of the best I've had - I think I saw the lady making them with Hagen Daaz ice cream too.
And the burgers, although we both could barely eat them, were cooked just right and came with nice fresh toppings. Bun was perfectly crispy and the beef tasted great!
Cruisers does have the best burgers in the Beaches 'hood. There is another location in Ponte Vedra as well. The burgers are huge--the ranch dressing is insanely good--the fries--don't even get me started!
