This hotel is located just a few minutes from downtown Asheville and offers beautiful mountain views from the parking lot and some of the rooms. The lobby and dining room area are beautiful and customer service was exceptional. They accept pets for a $20/night fee, but beware the pet policy!  Pets are not allowed to be left unattended in the hotel room and must be caged. Also, continental breakfast is not free for all guests, we found this out after sitting down to eat, and then receiving a bill for $10.95 per person.

Just before Christmas, room rates were $109/night, but we were given a military discount rate of $71/night. The standout feature of this hotel was definitely the helpfulness of the staff. They gave great directions and suggestions for local Asheville hotspots.

Wow, what a review below me...  I found the place just fine having never driven myself to Asheville.  It's up on a hill and there's clear signage.  You can see the place from the highway.  Anyway, our suite was decently priced (we went in February) and clean, with a king-sized bed and plenty of space.  The only problem was the suite's location.  All we could see from the deck were some pine trees.  I'd stay again.

Mediocrity is not what I'm seeking when I travel; blah and self-described resorts unfortunately pair off far too frequently in my experience. I am SOOOO glad I found this place through Hotwire and didn't book through the actual "resort" because I saved myself a total of $180. I hate golf, and in my defense I didn't know this was a golf resort when I accepted Hotwire's excellent-but-secret offer. In the "resort's" defense, the majority of the golf course was closed. You know what I liked about this place? The drinking glasses in the bathroom. Also the views were pretty. You know what I didn't like? The blood stain on my comforter, the sticky carpet, the broken remote and clock radio (I feared I was radiating a substance inducing technological malfunctions, but it wasn't me. It was the batteries in both cases). The weird-ass location makes it so that if you miss your exit, you're driving around in circles until you or your GPS can figure out how to get back. The hotel was, overall, overpriced and snobbish, but not much better than a Day's Inn.
