Crown does a GREAT job! I have had multiple dry cleaning disasters in the past, so I'm always pretty wary about trying a new place, but.... we've been going here since I relocated to Los Altos in August, and they always do as promised. On time, stains removed, pressed or starched the way you requested-- not one problem!
They also do upholstery, etc-- I brought in a couch cushion cover and they worked wonders with it!
I'm pretty sure they also have same day service if you get something in by 10am!
A dry cleaner is a dry cleaner when it comes to just cleaning some of my special wardrobe items.
BUT, Crown Cleaners are the only people I trust to fix my jeans. I'm a lover of fine denim, which I wear often, so holes are inevitable. The first time, I tore up the bottom hem of my Rock and Republics--I seriously almost cried--and they hemmed them up so nicely, I couldn't even tell the difference between what the original hem looked like and what they did. I've also taken some Hudson and Seven jeans with little holes and they fixed those right up too.
Like everyone else has said, the people who own Crown Cleaners are beyond nice and will do everything they can for you. This place is super close to my house as well, so it's extra great that the most convenient dry cleaner is also the best.

I've never had such attentive, friendly service at a dry-cleaning establishment before. They made it a pleasure to pickup my drycleaning, not just a chore -- the gentleman at the counter smiled, acted quickly, and practically bowed when he took my credit card! I felt so special, and all I was doing was picking up a dress.
Now, on to the actual important stuff: the cleaning.
First, a little background -- the dress I took for cleaning was my wedding dress. My wedding dress is a custom-made silk chiffon and silk satin three-part outfit with hand-beading and a cotton underskirt...and it's hand-dyed a lavender-to-purple ombre. So, it's a really complicated piece of clothing. I designed my dress with the intention of wearing it to fancy-dress balls (for as long as it fits!). Which means I dance in it. And sweat in it. And the hem gets stepped on, repeatedly.
When I took it to Crown Cleaners, it was, ahem, salty, and the hem was covered in gray marks. When I got it back from Crown, it was fresh as a pollen-free spring day and perfectly pressed. No noticeable impact on the color, beading, rolled hems, etc. They also cleaned my husband's custom light-green tux shirt (complete with pleats) with excellent success and treated the hand-sewn amethyst collar button with utmost care.
The total price for the cleaning was very fair, considering the intracacy of the garment and the number of individual pieces (4), and about 40% less than other places (mainly because I did not utter the word "wedding" anywhere near the word "dress").
I would highly recommend Crown's services for all your special items!

I agree with all reviewers that they do a good job on the cleaning and their customer service is excellent. The reason I am giving 2 stars is that their prices are absolutely insulting. I took my dry cleaning in when I was home visiting my parents for the holidays. Their prices are literally 3x as much as any other cleaner I have ever been to in the city and I take my dry cleaning in regularly. $13 for a scarf, $15 for a skirt... are you kidding me??? If I drove to the city and back to drop my cleaning off, I still would've come out ahead. I would never go back here again, regardless of how friendly they may be.
Great Cleaners! Always ready when promised. Work is great. I dont have time to use any others cleaners. Never worry about your dry cleaning again. Highly recommend!
These folks are AWESOME. Alterations are good, cleaning is good, and if you use them often enough they give you a gift at Christmas! They knew me by name in a very short period of time and are always pleasant when I go in. I highly recommend this place.
Top notch - First class all around! I've been going to this dry cleaners for more than 15 years. They have been involved in their own way in all my major milestones in life: high school graduation (hemmed my dress), college graduation (cleaned my dress afterward), wedding (steamed all my bridesmaid dresses the day before the wedding for only $10/dress!), and continue to clean, alter, and mend all of my and my husband's clothes to this day. As long as I live in the area, I will never go elsewhere.
These people are the BEST!
I am very particular about my dry-cleaning, and they do the best job BY FAR of any cleaner I have tried. On top of that they are incredibly friendly and helpful, and willing to rush something whenever I need it.

I agree with the previous two reviewers. Crown Cleaners was a recommendation from a co-worker's wife when I first moved to the Bay Area.
I drive out of my way to go here and I've never been disappointed. At first, I would make trips there every few weeks and then once a month. When my travel schedule picked up, I wouldn't be there as often, but I would always be greeted by name and with a big smile. The employees here know their craft and have a good eye for detail and customer service.
I've used them for tailoring as well as dry cleaning. I once had a long pair of pants that I step through and tore a hole in them with the heel of my shoe. I took the pants into Crown Cleaners hoping they could be hemmed (they were just too long for me). All hope was lost for them being hemmed without being obvious, so Crown had them turned into capris which are really cute.
I highly recommend them!!

I'll basically just say what everyone else has said so far. Crown Cleaners is fantastic. It appears to be a family-owned business, and they clearly take pride in doing good work and providing excellent customer service. Highly recommended.
Excellent dry cleaners who are very friendly and attentive. They are able to rush dry cleaning, and they recognize me whenever I go in. Very quick, and they do a great job.
