My boyfriend and I were really excited to try Crowly's of Cork, because it embodied three wonderful things we love: food, Irish-ocity, and beer. Oh yes! However, the first time we dropped by (on a weekend night), it was already closing at 10pm. So we had to come back a second time to experience what is Crowly's. An interesting crew works to serve you, and my most remembered server was Mike (funny dude). So, if you visit hopefully Mike will be there to give you a laugh and a smile.
I had mixed feelings about my soup/sandwich combo because the soup was WAY too salty and a not-quite-chicken-soup(different broth? more Irish style?) chicken soup, and the pasta salad I had was a little touch and go. The 1/2 sandwich however was stacked well and pretty tasty, but wasn't big enough to make up for what the other components lacked. The pub is kinda hidden away in a bunch of business parks, but they have live music on some nights and they are near the MAX. Big pluses in my book. So perhaps, I'll give it another chance...sometime.
