The coffee here kind of sucks but Crossroads will do in a pinch. The only time I would ever go here would be Mondays through Fridays when Heaven in Bovina Center isn't open and I needed a coffee fix.
You see, coffee seems to be an afterthought here at Crossroads. Sort of odd for a coffee shop. Their espresso roast is all off. An espresso roast should be dark and lovely, Crossroads' roast however is light and subtle. Their machine is set at too high of a temperature, which causes the shots to be pulled too hot and therefore taste burnt at times. And no one there knows how to make a macchiato. WTF? The quintessential Italian espresso drink and you don't know how to make it? It's a shot of espresso and some foam. That's it!
One bright spot about Crossroads though is their baked goods. They have an awesome selection of cookies, cakes, pies and other pastries. Their breakfast and lunch menu is pretty good too. They also make smoothies for those hot summer days.
So like I said, it'll do in a pinch, but there is much better coffee to be had in the Catskills.Listed in: Best (and Worst) of The…

We always enjoy our visits here. The fruit shakes are yummy and I had the best baklava of my life here a year or so ago. Sweet, informal, comfy.
