i didn't think noodle could look any cuter, but after he came back from critter clipper, i realized how wrong is was!
they did such an amazing job with him and he looked so happy afterwards! whatever they did to get him to sit still for a teeth brushing, nail trim...everything...i want to know!
thanks critter clipper!
I've been using them for years. My first dog, long since passed just loved them and that was 20 years ago. I trust them and even though I now live in Santa Clara I gladly drive to Mountain View because I know they take good care of my dog and I don't have to worry.
They have a great staff of people that love animals.

I took my Maine Coon cat here for the first time today and glad I did.
Everything about it was a positive experience. I called them on Friday and they were able to take me in the next day. Everyone there is SUPER friendly, especially Rosemary who is the lady who grooms cats. The place is clean, and I love the fact that everything is out in the open, so you can see the grooming being done.
I explained all my concerns to Rosemary, and when we picked our kitty up, she made sure everything was to our liking. He was slightly damp, which could have been sweat from being a little nervous, so she gladly took him back and dried and combed him some more. She also invited us back there so we can be with him. I thought that was cool :-)
Ziggy smells and looks great. Will definitely go back!
Took off a star for being a little pricey.
My pekingese needed the works: bath, dematting, clip, nails. Rosemary did a wonderful job. Twinkie had a great time being pampered, she was done when they said she would be, and the price was very fair, especially considering how matted she was. She even came home with bows on her ears. I'll be back.
I've been taking my dog to Critter Clippers for almost four years now. Everyone on staff there is so nice, and they do a great job washing him and cutting his hair. He's not a friendly dog, but he actually likes going there and has no problem with being groomed there. I still take him there even though I moved to SF. They are pricey, but definitely worth it.
I took my dog to Critter Clipper today and couldn't have been happier. (I had tried to get him in at The Barking Lot, but since they never returned my calls, I took him to Critter Clipper).
I called this past Saturday to see if I could make an appointment for my dog, and I really figured it would be after the holidays before they would be able to get him him. They put him on the waiting list in case they had any cancellations, but they called me right back and said they just had a cancellation and could get me in on Tuesday (today). I was thrilled...as he was badly matted and way overdue for a clipping.
His appointment was for 3:00 and he was ready for pick up by 6:00. The staff at Critter Clipper were all incredibly nice.
When I picked him up, the lady who groomed him said he behaved great, which made me feel good (he was in bad enough shape, and had he behaved poorly for them, I would have felt doubly guilty). They had to shave him since he was so matted, but that was very fine with me and I expected that.
The groomer did an excellent job with him and I was very pleased with how he looked. He didn't seem traumatized or anything. I felt like the charge to have him groomed there was reasonable. I actually thought they would charge me a lot more than they did due to his matted condition.
I highly recommend Critter Clipper!

My doggie looked good when I picked him up, but not any better than when I take him to the cheaper groomers. Slightly expensive...

One of only two groomers I have ever encountered that can do a good comb out of my dog (I comb regularly as well but big dog + double coat = a lot of combing). For double coated breeds, I've found that most places just brush the top coat, which can actually be harmful if they bathe the dog, which causes the undercoat to mat, preventing the skin from drying completely. I would drive out of my way to take my dog here because it's just that good.

I've been taking my cat there for several years. There is one lady there who grooms him regularly. She is a sweetheart and clearly loves animals. Everyone there is really nice and mellow. You can see the grooming area out front. My cat is very shy and easily scared. But when I pick him up at Critter Clippers, he is perky and seems really happy to have been groomed. Prices are high but worth it when kitty comes home all happy and smelling nice.
The people there are great! They take good care of my dog and they do a great job. They work throughly which is good. The prices are high but it's worth it.
