I can only give Cristina's 5 stars because 6 stars isn't an option!
If you find yourself in Strasburg or are just passing through, Cristina's Cafe is a must for any self-respecting food lover. Crissy and Wendy Willis have worked hard to create an atmosphere that is cozy, warm and inviting. The craft beer selection is one of the best in the area with 50+ different bottled American craft beers and 3 on draft. They also sport a great wine selection and homemade boutique cocktails. And if you love coffee - the baristas at Cristina's are the best - serving local beans in a variety of different styles.
Cristina's serves delicious food crafted from local ingredients - meats, produce, dairy - sometimes with a Mexican flair and always a treat. Many of the Mexican recipes have been passed down through several generations so you're not going to find them any place else. We love Mama Donna's empanadas - once you try them you'll be hooked. They also offer a variety of homemade cookies, pies and cakes which are to die for.
On the weekends, Cristina's brings local, live entertainment to their stage as well as open mic nights. And in the summer, the patio is a gorgeous oasis to enjoy dinner and a beer.
You can always count on a great drink, dinner and a show. Run, don't walk to Cristina's! -

Great food -- creative, delicious and healthy -- worth a visit if you're in Stasburg. Service could've used a bit more attention to detail (silverware, menus, timing). Would definitely go back again.

Food is good, but small portions. Service was less than poor. Do not tell someone you're out of quiche and then serve it to the table next to us who ordered after us. Also, as an owner, if you know your employee is bad at multitasking (and you even tell the customer), maybe you shouldn't them waiting tables (a multitasking-focused job).

Thank heavens! Been on the road for 12 days and grateful to have found Cristina's. Food fresh & tasty, local, beers available from all over North America. Nice ambiance, delightfully comfortable! Worth drive off of I-81.

I'd give it five stars but for the price. The food quality is excellent and of note is the fact that all the food is from sustainable sources; the veggies and meat come from local farmers. The beer selection is surprising; local microbrew, big-brewer domestic and some not-as-famous euro beers. The outside decor is very lucious and it's a southing oasis. We had a good time at this establishment for breakfast and dinner.

A great, homey cafe with fresh local ingredients cooked with a lot of care. We stumbled upon it on our way back from camping in West Virginia. It was a pleasant find, with a cozy atmosphere... Definitely made the whole family happy. (the alternative would have been Denny's since we were starved...) The summer vegetable soup was outstanding, with a nice sweet and spicy undertone. Sandwiches were made with care and fresh ingredients. We ended our lunch with a fresh cup of coffee, vanilla raspberry cake (a serious serious piece of cake that's moist, not too sweet, and outstanding) and delicious homemade cookies. A satisfying
stop, and nice to taste the chef's love of food in the dishes. Definitely a great spot on your way to or from the mountains! I am surprised it hadn't been reviewed by any locavores or green-minded
goodies. -

Roadtripping back from New Orleans and needed some dinner. Nothing in Front Royal or Winchester struck my fancy, so we hit this place based on the reviews. Nice setup: big cafe interior with a couple couches and a nice dining space nextdoor with overhead fans. Those came in handy since the heat was topping the mid nineties and the AC had yet to cool the place down. Excellent selection of craft import and local beers. If beer's you're thing, definitely give this place a try. Also, nice assortment of pies, cakes, and cookies, fresh baked behind the counter. Got the organic burger and the local salad; most of the ingredients are locally sourced, the buns baked fresh. The salad was a tasty mix of fresh greens, tangerines, walnuts, dried fruit, and goat cheese. I usually don't care for salads but this was really light and refreshing. The burger was cooked to order and pretty juicy. The servers seemed a little hectic, but they were happy to do a couple substitutions and had no problem serving up some plain boiled noodles for the kids, who also loved their chocolate chip cookies. Price wise, considering the quality of the ingredients and the fact that they're mostly local, you could easily spend three-times as much for a comparable meal downtown. As we were leaving, a local band started setting up for some live music. All in all, a nice little eatery. If you're headed through on a road trip or coming back from a mountain hike, Christina's Cafe will serve you a decent meal.

Went to Cristina's for lunch on Sunday. I had the quiche and my friend had the biscuits and gravy. Both were passable. The latte that I had was good. I liked the atmosphere - relaxed and casual. The plants outside and in the garden are very well kept. We will definitely go back to try more on the menu.

I don't know where you're going, maybe to the mountains, maybe to the city, maybe you just like to travel dangerously, sandwiched between 18-wheelers on I-81 for the rest of your life. Whatever you do, Cristina's in Strasburg is worth the visit. Sit in the well-cared-for garden and feel the darkness descend upon you and your loved ones and be illuminated from within by the fare. John Calvin spent some productive years in Strasburg, Germany preaching to French refugees, and I doubt he would turn down an invitation to this Strasburg for a sandwich and a cappuccino. I won't mention the food, it was fresh and well...just right. But the cappuccino was rich and served the way it should be, a cup with creamy foam, a brown and white symphony of sensory delight. Now, with that description, would Calvin still want it? Let's ask him.

Lovely off the beaten path gem.
Their menu changes on a daily basis based on what they can get from the local farmers.
My husband and I stopped by for dinner, we ordered their sirloin burger and Cristy's greens. The burger knocked our socks off, and the greens were perfect. The greens at first glance did not look like anything special until I got a mouthful of a little of everything. It's basically a bed of your usual salad green, all snappy and fresh, with pieces of mandarin oranges on top, pecans, and a very creamy cilantro dressing that explodes with flavor.
The burger is served on a buttered and toasted bun which I love and is cooked to specifications.
We also had their almond cherry pie a la mode. The scoop of ice cream we got was raspberry swirl.
For drinks we had their mjito, it was good, but they don't use cane sugar.
The ambiance is true to the name, very much an America cafe with a carry out front and an artsy section in the back.
The service is ok, but with all the pressures they are under in this part of Virginia I am willing to let it slide.
Hats off to the Willis sisters.
