Just had my first crisp on whole wheat pita and I will be back!

The sandwich is really big and satisfying. I liked the cabbage slaw on top (and not usually a big cabbage fan) and the tomatoes and cukes were very good quality considering the time of year. The pita was also fresh and just the right texture.

Get the dark green spicy cilantro sauce. An excellent addition to this tasty lunch treat. Oh, and as for those complaining about the price, I wonder where else they eat lunch in the area, this place is right in the norm for a midtown meal that's not from a cart. (Not knocking carts, just saying there is a difference.)

I currently work right across the street from Crisp, and I'm SO happy I do because it's kind of a lunchtime wasteland around here in my opinion.

Crisp's salads and sandwiches are so fresh, delicious, healthy, AND filling! I'm in love with the Mexican sandwich. Corn salsa, peppers, avocado, cilantro pesto, tortilla chips, and falafel all wrapped in a pita! It can get messy so be prepared to use a fork and knife. But ohhh is it worth it! Close to vegetarian perfection.

I ordered delivery from this location with a group of coworkers since there's a $15 minimum for delivery.  There was also a $2.50 delivery charge which I was not aware of and I was contemplating tipping the delivery guy.
However the Crisp whole wheat falafel I got was so worth it.  The packaging is quite nice too.  Comes in a convenient box that tears open and doubles as a holder.
My coworker got a falafel salad, the portion looked small and another person got the African falafel.  We scarfed them down in record time.  The falafel balls were perfectly crisp and flavorful.  The pita bread was perfectly crisp as well.
We all fell in love with the sauces that came along our pitas.  A tahini sauce, a mild spiced yogurt mint sauce, and a spicy salsa.  I tried all three on my sandwich and my favorite was the yogurt mint sauce.

One of my favorite lunch places in the area! The lines may look intimidating, but actually move pretty quickly.

I love the fresh baked pita! I've had the Crisp Mexican and The Crisp and both were HUGE and really good. The falafel as well as the veggies are fresh so I always feel good after my meal. But because the sandwiches are so big, I usually never finish.

The cute and eco-friendly packaging is also a nice plus.

Pretty cool falafel place. There was a long line here, but I enjoyed their falafel. Their falafel mexican salad is pretty good also.

Definitely will try again soon.

These morons have a "Buy One, Get One" promo - but when you order it they insult you on the receipt .

I'm trying out the Crisp Mexican Salad right now. i have to say, it's quite good. the cilantro pesto is a bit overwhelming but it balances out when mix with the falafel, corn salsa, avocado and jalapenos.(it's a bit too spicy for me. then again, my tolerance for spicy things is very low)

The falafel have a very nice texture, reminds me of a semi-dense cornbread with crispy exterior or hush puppies.

I also like the fact that they have white or whole wheat pita.

Can't wait to try out more selection on their menu.

Found this place randomly while looking for a new place for lunch. Its pretty good there esp the Mexican crisp. I was surprised at their fresh ingredients and how efficient and clean they were. The falafel is baked so its crunchy! Their lemonade is made with real lemons and isn't sour that your face will suck itself in. Can't wait to try the other teas and flavors they have like strawberry magic.
Their packaging is cute, made from recycled items, while their cups are made from plants. Yay for corn! They're trying to be healthy and eco friendly. Sure why not.
Considering the other places in the area to eat, this place is pretty good. I'm definitely going back there for lunch, at least once a week now. Plus you can walk a block away and eat in the park.

Wow.. I am so full at the moment and really impressed that falafel can taste that good. When you think of falafel, you think deep fried, greasy, probably comes from a cart here in NYC. This place was delicious, so fresh, and flavorful.. and pretty creative if you ask me. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make hummus salads.. is pretty clever. Anyways, back to the point. I ordered the Mexican which cames with kidney beans, lettuce, jalapenos, this yummy pesto.. topped with 5 falafels, corn, and salsa, and with a jalapeno cilantro dressing, and a side of fresh baked whole wheat pita bread. Yes, the line was long, but I ordered online for pickup.. which was a genius idea on my part. I think its cool that they teamed up with an organic tea company too. I imagine the 20 min delay will be pretty painful once it kicks in. I'm definitely going back though.

My coworker's friend told her that Crisp has "the best falafels outside of Israel."  Intrigued, we went to try it out.

1. For those of you who are put off by places that look too chic or packaged to be delicious, not to worry.
2. You get a 10% discount for ordering in advance online.
3. The falafels were freaking amazing.

I got the Crisp, which was a normal falafel with cucumber/tomato salad and hummus.  It was HUGE.  Like, ginormous.  Like, I wanted to get it as an addition to the salad I brought to work, but it was so big that I had to work really hard to finish 80% of it before giving up.  The falafel balls are crunchy, nutty, and abundant.  The veggies are fresh, and the pita is soft and bready.  The pita comes in a cute cardboard pouch that seems silly and kitschy, but is actually imperative when it comes to eating one of these guys without getting messy.

The lines are long, but they move quickly.  The prices are cheap for what you get, and they have a selection of fruity iced teas and desserts that look pretty yum.

Next time, I will order the falafel salad bowl, and it should be enough for two lunches, easy.

Really frickin good.

3 options all made fresh with very tasty ingredients:
Falafel sandwiches (in various styles, Mexican, Africa, Greek, French, and others) served in white or wheat pita "handbags" - great packaging.

Falafel salads (same styles as the sandwiches)

Hummus salads - lots of cool options (baja fresh - with avocado!, mama mia - with sundried tomatoes!, aubergenious - with eggplant!, and others)

Prices range from $6 to $9.  They have sides of various flavors of hummus and pitas/pita chips to grab and go, too.

Bright, cheery decor, but the line is LONG and this place is new, so with some patience and love, Crisp will earn its fifth star!

This place has some balls.  Big, fresh ones.  Their falafel balls are quite good.

I'm so pleased a healthy, quick lunch option has appeared across the street from my office.  My only problem now will be regulating my ball-eating so I don't burn out on this place.

The news spread like wildfire in the office. A new lunch option in sad-no-options-dearth-of-restaurants Fashion District? Literally 10 of us headed over for falafel, hummus, and lemonades/tea.

Arrived to find a line to the door. It moved quickly enough. The menu is a tad confusing (what's the difference between a salad and a bowl?). And you could spend a pretty penny here. For me the mexican salad (corn, salsa, avocado, cilantro dressing, 4 falafel), wheat pita, and a lemonade was $12.

But then you find it can feed two, so split with someone and you have a healthy $6 lunch. Although the lack of calorie counts anywhere makes me a tad suspect. Order online and skip the line and save 10%. They also offer a loyalty card, a point per dollar spent. And all their packaging is green. Slick marketing to boot...

Not knowing what to expect from Crisp, I definitely ended up getting what they promise: Ultra Fresh ingredients and lots of flavor! The store is modern and the music they play is great. In addition, the handbag sandwiches are so creative and easy to eat. Even with a line, the wait and service are swift and the employees are a delight!!

Crisp is definitely a must have!!

crisp is pretty solid and definitely one of the few decent lunch places in the neighborhood.

i have had the mexican and african pita sandwiches and both were pretty tasty, but a little small for my taste. i like that they mix up the standard falafel sandwich and make it a little more fun, but my only complaint is that at my regular falafel place i pay $4 for a sandwich. why do i pay $8 here? is corn and salsa really that expensive?

Best food option within a three-block walk of my office.  Falafel balls are fine - not as important to me as the hummus and the various ways it is served.   It's tasty, reasonably low in carbs (if I'm wrong about the whole wheat pita, please don't tell me), costs under $10 and is filling (I couldn't finish the Baja salad, and I can finish pretty much anything).   I can do without the cutesy packaging and trendy decor, but I can tell you that purely on the merits of the food, this is a winner.

I went here today with some coworkers for lunch... really good! I got the Mexican falafel sandwich, and the pesto was fantastic. I also thought that it was really a lot of - high quality - food. I was there at around 2, so it was past the lunch rush, but it still seemed pretty crowded. I'm not sure I'd want to venture there an hour earlier. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a little overpriced, and they put tomato on my falafel after I asked for no tomato because I'm allergic.

They have some good items, particularly the Mexican falafel sandwich and the Baja Fresh salad. I'm removing one star because I think they are a bit pricey for their falafel sandwiches/salads. Unlike what some reviewers posted, I would not say the salad is big enough for two lunches...and I don't consider myself to have a particularly large appetite. I'm removing two stars because i have specifically gone here to try out their T-Rolls on 5 different occasions only to be told they are not available that day. The first time I was told they were not available yet (even though they spammed my email with advertisements about them). All of the following times I've gotten there and waited in the long line just to be informed that they're not available that day and that I should try the following day. I don't think the T-Rolls really exist...so why are they on the menu? I won't be making the effort to come here anymore...
