I love the variety of options at Crepevine... you got your savory crepes, sweet crepes, eggs benedict, omelets, and mimosas!  From all the crepes I've tried, no matter if I dislike mushrooms or a certain vegetable in my crepe, it always ends up tasting good anyway.  The combination of these ingredients and the sauce make their crepes DELICIOUS!!  Caution:  savory crepes come in HUGE portions with salad AND potatoes.  I definitely always share with someone because I can't finish a whole crepe... there's too much substance inbetween.

My favorites are:
Santa Fe
Bombay

As for the dessert crepes, everyone of course loves the strawberries and Nutella crepe... but for me (i'm not a big fan of chocolate), I love the Santorini crepe - it's got your nuts, cinnamon and sugar, and marscapone.  I love them nuts (that's what she said ;) ) , it really adds a nice crunch to it!  They all come with vanilla bean ice cream, so no complaints here!

It surprises me how efficient their system is... you walk in, place your order (either at the register or while in line --there can be LONG lines on weekends)... then they find a table for you soon (like 5-10min), then food comes out in 15min.  Seems simple right? but when it's on a crazy busy Sunday brunch time... you'd think you would have to wait like an hour for a table.. but I've never had to wait for more than 10 min for a table... props to the employees at Crepevine for being efficient!

I was really glad that the line for Crepevine was kind of long the Sunday morning we decided to go there for a late breakfast because the menu had so many things on it that I wanted to eat and I was having a lot of trouble making a final decision.

I settled on a cheese omelette...then I saw the cobblers.  I really wanted one, but I couldn't justify basically eating a whole pie for breakfast.  My friend got some sort of eggs benny, and we both ordered coffee.

Seating is kind of confusing, but it was a minor irritation that I promptly forgot about once our food arrived.  My omelette (mozarella, feta and goat cheese) was delicious, though the goat cheese was (as expected) super rich and basically negated the inclusion of the other two cheeses.  Next time, I'll know better.

I've had some off experiences with eggs benedict lately and had come to the conclusion that I don't really like hollandaise sauce...and then I tried my friend's platter of eggs benny and it was SO good.  The key?  Subtle (and I emphasize the subtle part) use of lemon.  I know lemon is a key component to hollandaise, but a lot of places I've ordered it from recently (Wes Cafe, Seal Rock Inn) have had SUPER lemony sauce and the experience has bordered on gross.  Crepevine nailed it, and I'm so happy to know that there's at least one place I can go to get a pleasant plate of eggs benedict.

Next time, we'll split a plate of eggs ben AND a cobble.

I tip my invisible hat to one of the three cooks working at ten o'clock on the night of November 11th, 2009.

The MAZATLAN omNOMNOMelet was delicious. Soyrizo, Black Beans, Salsa, AVOCADO! It was an amazing omelet. I still fantasize about eating such omelet for breakfast every day. Will have to do business with The Crepevine again.

Yes lots of places on Irving to catch brunches before walking to GG Park. This is a safe bet that serves good food and a nice modern deco. The SF crepe was good with some good salmon and lots of veggies and potatoes. The Cinnamon French Toast my best friend had smelled so good! I like the refill coffee so you can sit there for a while while chatting up good times!

The high ceiling makes it very airy and that they also open up the side window that makes the place very Summer like pleasant feeling!

Salmon alfredo noodles are good (that's not the exact name of it so don't quote me on that). I also really enjoy the carrot apple juice that they make. It's $1 (I believe) and you can get unlimited refills.

Their crepes are also pretty good.

My favorite thing about the decor of the restaurant is the menu board. It's written in chalk with the best, nicest, coolest handwriting ever. I would volunteer to wipe it for them if they needed to one day. It's so cool

This is my go-to place for later than usual dinners and late morning breakfasts.  I love the casualness and the friendly staff, and I can always get a big, filling meal here.

In my dozens of visits I can only recall one time when I was less-than-satisfied with something I ordered.  Unfortunately, it was recent enough that I still remember.  I ordered the El Dorado (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) which is Crepevine's half pound burger.  I had never ordered this before.  The big, thick pre-formed beef patty was a bit dry and overcooked.  I was thankful that the sandwich came with a salad and a side of the house potatoes for those and a couple of soda refills filled me up.

For dinner I'll stick to the savory crepes or the Sonoma chicken sandwich.  Every time I have ordered these they have been delicious.

On the breakfast side all of the egg dishes are ultra filling.  They put a lot of ingredients into their scrambles and their omelettes.  The Denver Omelette (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) I enjoyed last week was a tad greasy but very good.

For after-dinner indulging I occasionally have a sweet crepe.  Among my favorites is the Siena (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) which combines a sinful combination of Nutella, fresh strawberries, chopped pistachios paired with whipped cream and vanilla bean ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce.  So good!!

Some restaurants we frequent much more than often.  For me one of those restaurants is the Crepevine on Irving because they're always there to relieve my hunger and send me home happy.

I had the California crepe...it was a yummy blend of fresh salmon with dill havarti cheese, capers, and onions, served with a side salad and some potatoes.  Portions were HUGE.  This place was pretty decent...reasonably priced, yummy food, and a wide selection of crepes, sandwiches, etc. from which to choose.

Felt a little noisy and cramped, and there was only one bathroom.  Crepes were not mind-blowingly amazing, but I did finish most of my plate, a good indicator that this place is indeed "A-OK."

Outstanding service! We were never neglected here, got checked on more than regularly.  BFF and I shared the Jamacian Crepe and a pot of Black Peach Tea.  Ohhh Emmm Gee, that Caramel Rum Sauce is delish!!  Practically licked our plate clean.  The tea hit the spot on this chilly night as well.

I really like Crepevine.  I've been to the Oakland location as well, the food and service at both are very consistently awesome!

I came for lunch with a couple friends prior to spending our day at the Academy of Sciences. Super satisfying.

They both got savory crepes. I opted for a chicken veggie soup and a sunset crepe. The soup had lots of chunky bits and was exactly what I wanted. I had asked if I could get my crepe a little later since it had ice cream and I didnt want it to melt while i enjoyed my soup but guess they forgot. I ended up slurping down my soup along with ice cream. Not a the best combo but...meh it was good.

Crepevine never disappoints.

Most people when they're looking for late night options  - settle.

They go for the OK pizza stand-bys or end up getting some microwaveable plate of bleh from some random convenience store.

ie: most people = me.

But I've gotten wiser to the late night scene. Instead of scarfing down heavy grease dripping slices - I come to Crepevine. Like tonight.

After the Treasure Island Music Festival, I stopped in here around 11:00pm. The staff said that though their closing hours were 11:00pm - we were free to order whatever we wanted and we were free to stay as late as we wanted.

I ordered my favorite - the fish tacos.

Two big fresh juicy servings of fish, bundled up in a corn tortilla and surrounded by greens, mango salsa, and all around deliciousness. Beside the heavy set tacos were lightly spiced breakfast potatoes and a decent sized serving of ceasar salad.

It's an all around impressive bargain, and that you can indulge in it - while most places are closed up for the night on a slow Sunday, is a San Francisco dining miracle.

Oh and if fish tacos aren't your thing - just go big and go for the pumpkin spice pancakes - the perfect late night comfort food.

Don't settle for weak open late eats. Go smart. Go to Crepevine.

I came here last night late past 11PM after we were done at the Academy of Sciences Thursdays +21 weekly special. Like many restaurants in the neighborhood this one was open. And fudge, if you're one of those people that occasionally want to indulge on pancakes at midnight this is the place to go. I didn't order much (in fact I wasn't the one who even ordered the banana pancakes I ended up nibbling on quite a bit towards the end because the guy unknowingly ordered so much) and started off with a cup of black bean chili and a glass (yes, in a nice tall glass) of hot chai. I would love to come back here during the day (when it's better to eat that amount) for a nice breakfast, brunch or lunch.

The menu was pretty extensive and they all sounded (and looked) yummy. They have a great selection of both sweet and savory pancakes and crepes. And they even have a pasta menu. And a soup menu that consisted of a good 4 kinds of choices or so.

As for the chai - it wasn't overly sweet and the overall taste, quantity and temperature of it was pleasant so I give it an A.

The black bean chili was also pretty good too. Though I personally would have skipped on the sour cream topping (which also was topped along with some tomato salsa). I give it a B

The banana pancakes I nibbled on were delicious!

The one thing my mates and I didn't understand was the grade b syrup (which is apparently vegan friendly and organic - why grade be then?)

I heard about this place through the crepevine I guess you can say. Hang on, this review will get a little cheesier. LOL! I met up here with a friend of mines for some tea and a crepe. We walked up to the guy at the register and ordered a pot of chai tea and a sunset crepe which included nutella, bananas, strawberries whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. Shout out to my homegirl Hazel "Nutella" G. Woot woot!

Back to the story! We got our crepe in a timely manner but the pot of chai didnt arrive even after 15 or 20 minutes. I went back up to ask for the chai and was greeted by the person in charge at the time. I think his name was Joel by the way. He came back with a glass of chai and I asked for the pot. He was apologetic and gave us another glass and offered a dessert on the house which I thought was kind of the guy but we were fine without the extra 1000 calories.

I thought the crepe was okay tasting and the workers needed to pay a little more attention to the orders. I guess I would have given it a 2 star review if Joel wasn't so kind in offering something on the house but he saved the restaraunt a star.

The food here is simply the best in the neighborhood, bar none.  Seriously.  They have a nice variety of sweet crepes, 'savory' crepes (kinda like omelets), yummy and actually healthy salads, a full coffee/espresso selection, and my favorite beverage, the 'safari cooler' (carrot/orange juice--with a free refill!).  There is often a bit of a line on saturday and sunday mornings, but with food that good I am not surprised.  Oh, and now they even have free wi-fi.  What more could I ask for?

Italian crepe- mozzarella, artichokes, red pepper, onions, and marinara sauce.... I thought you were the one! Ah, it was probably my fault because I'm not a huge fan of artichokes. But oh BOY if you are a fan of artichokes you will love this crepe. You will love, love, love this.

The portions are crazy big so if you are planning on ordering a savory crepe, keep in mind that it comes with decently-sized sides of homefries and salad. Both of which are good. But filling.

I made the mistake of coming here on a busy Sunday morning. I was a little worried about getting a place to sit down (the way they seat you is a little confusing) but we got a table right away. Then our food arrived shortly after. So yay for that.

I did like this restaurant. Overall I would say this place needs another shot. Another day, another time, another crepe.

I have been going to this location for a long time and my patience has run out with the horrible service. Someone always seems to get my order wrong and I wonder why they put people on the phone who can't understand or speak even broken English. Yes, its a pet-peeve of mine that modern customer service is seriously lacking everywhere simply because of language barriers. Everything is outsourced to foreign countries when you need help from a 1-800 number, can't I just get someone who can communicate in my own backyard? Yes I know I am risking sounding like my close-minded Grandfather but it is what it is. Annoying!

Last time I went to pick up an order, Anastasia not only slaughtered my name and the manager Max laughed about it seeming to find it hilarious, she also slaughtered our order so much that I had to wait another 10 minutes. I had only put a small amount of money in the meter to pick up the order she told would be ready when I got there...so when I went out to put more quarters in because of her stupid ass mistake, I was getting a fuckin expired meter ticket!

The manager who also needs to work on his communication skills took down my information and assured me the owner would call me and possibly pay for my ticket. I waited a few days before I Yelped and still have not heard a word from them. After so many stupid mistakes over time, watching cashiers who sweat bullets because they can't make change even with a fucking register in front of them, and horrible management, I'm done with Crapvine!

Ahhh, what can I say? Yummy or yummy? Parking is kinda hard to find, but I managed to get a parking spot across from Wishbone. Food was delicious, and the desert, Sunset, was delicious as well. The Sunset tasted so sweet, especially with the hot warm fudge and their fresh bananas. I forgot the name of the Crepe we ordered, but i was the one with the curry sauce in it. It was delicious. They served it with a big order of side sald and little potatoe squares on the side of it. Boy was that yummy (:

I came here after the gym , around 11:30pm which was right before they closed. Usually I hate being that customer to walk in late, but I was desperate to put some food into my body within 30 minutes of working out (you know how that works). When we got there, the staff were friendly and welcoming. At that time I noticed they were in the process of closing shop, but they went above and beyond to incorporate us into their services. They were great. The crepe was delicious and the price for the amount of food I got was perfect.

Final Thoughts: Where do I find crepes that grow on vines?

Knowing that there are multiple Crepevine locations, I decided to go to the one with the best ratings.  It is quite the hype I must say.

I opted for the Bombay Crepe because I love all things Indian-related.  The whole crepe was rather unexciting.  I didn't get much depth in the curry and it resembled Japanese curry more than anything else.  The filling was comprised mainly of chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions which had so much potential.  But it just seemed like any other combination of sauteed items.

The worst part was the side of potatoes.  Most pieces were edible but too often than not, I found very charred pieces that felt like they were about to break my teeth!  If I had chewed any harder, then it would've cracked one for sure.

The best part was the hot apple cider.  When I got it, it didn't look like its normal, murky brown self.  It was almost completely transparent like some lighter teas.  But it had a very rich apple flavor still and would be perfect for any cold day in the city.  The man taking our orders at the counter highly recommended the hot chocolate and he was quite right.

Crepevine should be better known as Drinkvine.

Crepes, Crepes, Crepes

These little pockets of goodness can be filled with things sweet or things salty. ;)  Dessert crepes have always been one of my favorite desserts to get besides getting ICE CREAM which is the all time top dessert to me :D.

I came here about two Sundays ago with a good friend. We agreed to meet at 430pm but she was running late and I decided to wait out in the windy cold. VERY SMART IDEA! -___-.  I decided to take some time and browse some of the nearby shops. after about a half hr of browsing I go back to Crepevine and stand out side looking around for my friend and she some how manages to sneak behind me and tap my back and hide behind me o.o  no idea how tat happened XD.

On to the food, its wat we are here for rite!!!!!  So we went for savory crepes and decided to share 2 so that we could try two different ones. I got the Tuscany savory crepe which i sold on after seeing the word:  "PESTO". It also contained mushrooms, tomatoes, provolone, feta and roasted almonds. The swirl of different flavors and the yummy pesto sauce made my mouth feel like it was in heaven.  She got the Bombay Savory crepe which was filled with sauteed chicken breast, spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms and onions topped with a curry sauce. The Bombay crepe was also yummy but i felt that it lacked a little kick that i expected from the curry sauce, otherwise it was good. Each order came with a salad and some potatoes.  It was probably one of the cheapest dinner's i had paid for. lols

Mine: http://www.yelp.com/bi...

Hers: http://www.yelp.com/bi...

After we finished our crepes I was ready for dessert however my friend was full. :(  So I suggest we go to a coffeehouse and catch up since i hadn't seen her all summer!!  That way i could get my dessert and coffee there :P

Sat at an outside table. Deer in the headlights waiter asked if he could help me. I inquired about an absent bookstore near by and then asked for a menu. Half an hour later the waiter remained inside and had not taken my order.

Then I noticed people inside with numbers on their tables. It's an order at the counter type of place. No signs. Waiter didn't mention it. Wait staff is a bit clueless.

Well, the food's good. Had a cheese and onion crepe and added ham. It's a lot of food for $7.00
.
Came with a small tasty salad and home fries that were done to crunchy perfection in my arrogant opinion.

Will try this place again for sure. Some of the other diners had things that looked delicious and worth trying.

Oh, yeah...free wifi. That is enough to bump it up a star. Every bloody restaurant should have free wifi. It's just polite.

Have eaten at this one and the one in the Castro- both great meals. Their salads are awesome, and they put up with me modifying a few things without a hitch.

I had a mexican-type crepe- very good, very filling, and came with a little side salad and some 'taters. Got a little mushy for me, and the potatoes were good but not great (not quite crisp enough) but it was fresh tasting, good ingredients, and PLENTY of vegetarian options. Love it.

There is a lot of variety here. If you want sweet crepes- you got it. If you want savory crepes- you got it. And an iced tea with that? Sure. Everything comes out pretty quickly. I've only had their savory crepes. They're standard crepes with fresh vegetables and good cheese, but I haven't been blown away by the taste of the food here. It's a fun place to go to catch up with a friend over lunch or brunch, but for $9+ for a hearty meal, I think I can find better tasting food elsewhere- especially since the place is located near 9th and irving.

Crepevine is simple and a perfect place to go for a solid and good meal.  The food is tasty and the service is good (while you order at the counter, the waitstaff was courteous and brought extra water and coffee refills around).

Love how they have little samples of muffins on the counter fairly often...a great way to tide the hunger!

We were doing remodeling and the family ended up eating here practically everyday because everyone is very picky and there is something for everyone here, we were happy, and when house was done, we realized that it doesn't cost a whole lot more than cooking at home.

damn, was this all 1 sentence? I should take some English classes.

my usual order was the Santa Fe with orange juice in the mornings, very tasty!

First breakfast out since moving to the city, and this was a great way to start. I ended up with the french toast, which I regretted. Not because it wasn't good (it was!) but because I got it after seeing the sweet crepes were only $6 each. I figured they would be too small to satisfy since everything else on the menu was 2 dollars more.

Well, a fellow diner got a sweet crepe and it was totally huge and filing. It also came with ice cream, which is a great way to start any morning. So it's a sweet crepe for me next time I visit.

On previous visits the place was nearly empty, so going during the Sunday rush was a bit of a change All of the tables are labeled as "reserved" which can be a bit of a turn-off if you don't know that it's just their way of saying, "don't take a table until you've placed your order." We had no problem finding a place to seat after we'd worked through the queue.

As a side note I will say that as a big fan of all things eggs benedict, none of their four benedict varieties sounded even remotely interesting. Why do people try to mess with a good thing?

This place was delicious. The food is very fresh and the service staff was doing an amazing job keeping their cool under the pressure of probably 10000 outside lands party goers.

The food here is a little pricey, steep by my standards but the locals I spoke with said that the food is always that price so it was nice to see some things didn't jump in price just because the festival was going on.

I think that the italian/tuscany crepe was my favorite. My friends ordered the catfish poboy, which I would have eaten but I think I was allergic to fish in a past life.

Anyway the food is great, I'll probably look up their website after this review posts!

Love has a name and that name is "New Orleans" eggs benedict with crabcakes in a Cajun hollandaise sauce.  Sometimes at night, I dream of these...

Have been coming here for the past two years.  If Heaven had a cafeteria this would be my pick -- the place has everything, from crepes and egg dishes, to massive salads, main courses and burges, to fantastic deserts.  Served all day long, including the breakfast egg dishes, so I can get my New Orleans fix at 10pm).

This is our default for where to go? when in a hurry in the Inner Sunset.  Fits any occasion -- once my hubby and I were in a rush to eat before yoga (and you really shouldn't stuff yourself before yoga), so I ordered a small salad and he a large.  Let me tell you, their small is like most places' large. (wonderfully yummy and fresh) But they give you a doggy bag if you need it.

The service is super friendly.  The food usually arrives in 5 minutes (10 minutes would be a long wait at this place).

Case in point:  after the late-night at the Academy of Sciences (on Thursdays, $12 entry fee, no kids and a full bar + DJs), we walk for five minutes to get here and order: a 1/2 lb "Baron" burger & salad for hubby, New Orleans for me, a beer and a glass of white.  Absolutely delicious, $30.

Can't beat it.

Met a couple of friends here for brunch.  The whole seating system is pretty smooth once you realize all the 'reserved' signs were so that they can seat you.

The endless safari cooler was yummy.   I had the New Orleans benedict... the crab cake was tasty, but a little mushy.   They let me substitute the home potatoes with greens which was nice of them.  My husband's Santa Rosa Scramble was yummy.    The food I think was about 3 stars, but I thought the service was superb.   They gave us extra napkins knowing the little one was going to need it.   He did.

They were very friendly and constantly offered us refills on safari coolers and water.  They cleared our plates at the right time.   We really enjoyed our experience there.

Down one point back to 4 stars because the Bombay crepe I ordered for take out had very little curry in it.  The spices were fragrant but the sauce was almost non-existent and I was super disappointed since watching a woman devouring it next to me a week before I went to try it.

This was about a month ago and yes I will probably keep going back but won't get that particular one unless I see more sauce.  Remember, I'm a sauce/gravy junkie.  I will drink sauce from a cup and lick it off a plate if it were socially acceptable.  =P

God I love this place!

From the humongous and beautifully hand-written menu (+1) to the extensive selection of ultra-fulfilling breakfast dishes (+1), savory/sweet crepes, freshly prepared salads, enormous sandwiches and flavorful pasta's, there's also a certain feel to the place that I just simply adore.

It's comfy.

It's kick back.

ME LIKEY.

It's one of those places that are just perfect for getting together with an old friend and lingering for 3+ hours talking about everything under the sun.  We definitely overstayed our welcome yesterday but the staff were very gracious in letting us loiter without shooting evil glances at us to leave (+1).  I LOVE THAT.  Bonus points for their genuine smiles and for refilling our teas (+1)!

Although the food may sometimes be a hit or miss, the ambiance is absolutely adorable and enough to keep me coming back from time to time whenever I'm in need for a good conversation with a dear old friend.

I think crepe places are all overrated these days. Can anyone actually tell me what a crepe really is? I would much rather prefer something more hearty and filling compared to what can be best described as meat or desert stuffed in a thin pancake. With that said though I feel that the decor is very nice always being well lit with a good overall design of the menu and seats. I like how everything is well defined and that things are clear cut and never confusing.

Now in terms of the food it's pretty simple. You can either order something hearty or something sweet. As I explained earlier you know what I like so the one thing on the menu I can suggest is the Safari Cooler. Part vegetable juice, part fruit juice, I feel that I am actually getting something healthy out of this meal. Like I am getting my daily servings of veges and fruits. It's always nice to try something new, and it's cool that the area is home to many different culinary tastes and flavors. It's ultimately up to you on what you decide but I wouldn't mind coming here again.

This place reminds me of the Crepeville in Davis but I must say this place a lot better!

This place is decently priced and food is delicious. :)

This place is very breakfasty. So, if you like breakfast lover like me then this is the place for you! =D

I've been here many times over the past 5 years or so.  It's always been a great bang for your buck place, until the food started sucking.  At least this last time around it did.  Who knows, maybe the normal cook called out sick.  That would be the only good excuse for why our food was so bad.  First, it came out waaay too quickly, (I know things are pre-prepped, but damn).  The potates were cold, the salad had no dressing, the cheese on my tuna melt wasn't melted, and my guys food came out in the same manner.  His salad did have dressing on it, so they get one star for that.  On the other hand, the wait staff are friendly and helpful.  My coffee was always hot, and full.

Omeletes that scream, "dynomite!" Warm breakfast that complements the rather brisk overlaid foggy Sunset/Inner Richmond section of San Francisco.

The staff embody a hospitable and welcoming philosophy as both of my experiences here were extremely great. Customer service is an A-Rating!

Can't go wrong with this place, the location and the outdoor seating... the grub can sometimes be off the mark but for the most part is good.

SAVORY CREPES
- Florentine and Greek are great veggie options
- Tuscany is good if you're a meat lover
- California is pretty good and very filling

SWEET CREPES... mucho weakness of mine!
- Monaco is my all time favorite with nutella and bananas... drool!
- Siena is great if you want to be healthy and throw in a strawberry.. or two
- Riviera is an acquired taste with its odd mix of tart lemon and sweet and cirtus orange

PASTA
- Not their strong point but if you are in the mood, I recommend Firenze and Bari
- Abruzzo was heavy on the wheat and pesto and M.I.A. on taste

SANDWICHES
- This they do well and are great for a hearty sandwich as well as for a picnic or a hike
- The Sonoma, Bodega Bay and Pioneer are healthy options for non-veggie lovers
- Garden Burger is a good veggie option
- The rest... dunno! I'm not a big fan of fish in my sandwich

BENEDICTIONS
- Black Stone... and the jury is out on the rest... the Black Stone had me at  "B"

SALADS
- All are good actually
- If you're in the mood for a heavy salad, the Greek is the way to go
- If you're in the mood of something light, try the Florentine

PANCAKES
- Again, not their speciality... sometimes very doughy and feel like I'm going to cough up a dough ball... hack! cough! hack!

EGGS
- Are "meh". Can sometimes be very dry inside and kind of bland OR are thick as a pancake with way too much egg and not enough stuffing

But, you know, its great service, it gets crowded on weekends, they're open late which I love, good for brunch, lunch, linner, dinner and desert, reasonable priced to cheap, clean and spacious and adds to the hood.
