As I mentioned in my previous review, I had only ever had the kombucha and I was already in love (try the one with cayenne pepper!). Today that love grew deeper.

Stuffed portobello,  quinoa and the salad of the day: swiss chard, argula and leeks. dee-lish. amazing. cant wait to go back.

As I was walking by Crepe o Chocolat last Thursday, the scent of chocolate lured me in. It didn't help that it was noon straight up and I was hungry. I intended to get a deep whiff of the wonderful dessert scents to satisfy my desires but ended up seeing their skinny baguette sandwiches and decided to order one. As the owner warmed it up for me, I was drawn to the pastry display and saw a chocolate truffle cake that I HAD to have. So I got one. Then, she had these colorful veggie chips near the cash register. Yes, I was weak and got those, too. So my little olfactory adventure turned into a full-blown, multi-course meal.

I quickly strolled to my car to get home as fast as possible to start my tasting extravaganza. I started with the chips on the way home. Yum, yum, yum. The owner said they were from Whole Foods. I'm going to have to find them. Got home, transferred sandwich and cake to plates and began eating. The sandwich looked much simpler than it actually was. Quite good and satisfying and very reasonable priced. The cake was insanely good: gooey, chocolaty, sweet and a tiny hint of savory. Or maybe my mind was on overload. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Both the sandwich and cake were made by the woman who served me. She obviously loves what she does.

I'm very sorry to have popped into her shop that one day because I walk by all often and will now have to struggle not to go in every time for some delectable treat.

Crepe O Chocolat is random in a good way.  Most downtown lunch places are cookie cutter versions of one another, and even if they aren't, you end up ordering the same kind of things whether you realize it or not.  We stumbled into Crepe O Chocalat, stared confusingly at the menu, and quickly realized that we were going to have to make some tough calls.  The menu features all sorts of vaguely healthy, somewhat European, occasionally vegan, but ultimately flavorful offerings.

My quick tips from what I sampled: check out the quinoa dish, the bacon gratine, and the fig sandwich.  Don't bother with the vegan banana bread muffin -- as Eric S. said, it tasted like it needed some serious animal products in it!

This is one of my go-to places at work, second to Cafe Dolci. When I first went to Crepe O Chocolat, I didn't have a very good impression of the place, but I've warmed up to the place since then.

Since I've never been to France, I wouldn't know if the place is considered quintessentially French; however, it is cozy inside, with the big round table in the middle and the plentiful displays of long, thin sandwiches and cookies/pastries up front. Everything is stacked up upon another, which makes it look a little disorganized, but also entices the eyes.

I usually go for one of the sandwiches here; not the typical type of sandwich most would think about, these are long & thin and toasted to a warm consistency after customers make their orders. I've tried the cheese and mushroom, the prosciutto, and the fig and goat cheese (probably seasonal). Only for $5, these sandwiches are filling enough for a light lunch.

There are small quiche/gratin and large ones. The small ones are $5, the large are $9.25 and come with a green bean salad. I went on a day when they didn't have the small ones, so I had to go with the large, and it was definitely too big of a portion for me. However, luckily I had enough leftovers for a late-afternoon snack.

Last but not least, the cookies are quite buttery and delicious. I don't think you can resist the large cookies on display at the front counter...they basically stare at you and taunt you to buy one of them.

Service varies; the woman who runs the place has been polite and friendly to me ever since I first visited the store, and I've heard a few co-workers compliment the woman on her kindness before. However, I've heard others say that she can be a little surly sometimes; personally haven't experienced that yet.

Apparently the place attracts some celebrities as well.

Quinoa "stuffed" portobello mushroom.  Really weird, yet oddly satisfying.

This place is a sort of an ugly duckling amidst chic downtown lunch stops.  It doesn't look quite promising; and it is almost too small, *almost* too long of a wait to get the food heated, yet somehow, it delivers, and with a unique charm to boot.

It was a delight to find a very tiny shop that sells wonderful sandwiches and yogurt in the Union Square area.  I love their baguette sandwiches that are heated up on the panini grill.  My favorite one is the grilled chicken sandwich and the salami.  No mayo is used on the sandwich which deserves an A++ however they do put some butter on it....very french like.  This place also has a daily soup, salads and some sort of vegan dishes.  The pastries are gluten free too and pretty good for being gluten free.  Check it out!

Really a unique place for lunch in the downtown area when you consider the glut of generic fast food options, or the overpriced food court in the mall. The atmosphere is nice and homey and though there isn't a lot of room inside if you are expecting to sit down, I've never had a problem with it.

Despite the name of the place, I've actually never had a crepe here! My go-to for a while was the bacon & egg gratin, which will leave you stuffed (can be enough for two meals if you take it to go). The omelettes are great too, and one time I ordered a salad with seared tuna and it was huge! The only less-than-filling item are the panini sandwiches, but those are pretty cheap.

I'd recommend it if you're bored with the standard eateries around the area, and especially if you have a thing for fresh, organic food. Also not sure what another review said about the people being rude, but they have always been really nice and friendly to me.

The space is small with one large table to sit at which can accommodate about 8 people.  There are two table outside - if it happens to be a warm day in SF.
Tasty french toast is what I ordered!
I didn't try anything else on the menu but people's food looked great as it came out and they seem pleased as they were eating it.  I really enjoyed my French toast  with berries.

Fun ambiance with a whole in the wall feel- with excellent food!

I recently came here to have a crepe because I had a crepe craving for a while. Anyway, it was around 9 am and I remember seeing this place, very quaint looking, inviting, so I finally decided to try it.

I walked in with my boyfriend to a lady behind the counter buttering loaves of bread (her back to us). I said hello very cheerfully because I was in a wonderful mood, but no response back. That was cold... So I waited a minute thinking shes probably busy and just finishing up what she is doing. Another three minuets went by not even an acknowledgement that we were there (and we were the only two people besides her in that hole-in-the-wall restaurant). My boyfriend then said hello himself, and she finally said (her back still to us) "are you ready to order?" DUH we've been standing here waiting to order. So, she took our order then finishes buttering her little loaves of bread. I began to wonder when she would start on our order.

About 8 minutes later I received my food. It smelled so good, except for the fact that I had no fork or spoon or knife... hmmm... So I asked, this time she was on the phone, she pointed to an area next to the register counter and I went to help myself to a fork. No forks... no spoons.. no knives.. only a big dish full of water and silverware, they looked dirty... I told her there were no clean utensils and she picked two forks out of that dirty looking bin and dried them and gave them to me... ewwww

Now the thing that really capped off this visit was that every other customer who walked in after us got amazing IMMEDIATE service with a smile.

I'm never going back. horrible experience.

This place has great food and terrible service. I have gone here many times and enjoyed almost everything I've ordered. But I won't be going back because I am tired of dealing with the owners terrible attitude and service. This morning I went in to get french toast.

Problem #1. Someone came in behind me and I guess the guy working there knew her so instead of taking my order (I was next in line) he started making her order and ignored me.

Problem #2. The owner came in shortly thereafter and took my order. She started ringing me up and I was looking for cash, but then she said that I needed to pay because she needed to go (literally maybe 15 seconds had passed and there was no one behind me so it's not like I was holding up the line.) Since she indicated she was in a hurry I just handed her my credit card. She then rolled her eyes and made a little sigh. Lady, if you don't want to take credit cards, then don't take them! You can be a cash only business. BUT, if you say you accept credit cards, and rush your customers to pay, then don't give them attitude when they pay with a card.

Like I said, I go there often, I've even gotten my coworkers hooked, and I planned on ordering from them for my next office party - but the first thing I did when I got to work was tell everyone about their horrible service and encouraged them to never visit again. And they won't ever get any business from my company either. Go to Madeleine's a couple of store fronts down where you can get good food AND good service.

A tiny little cafe located in Union Square. We came here for breakfast and were not disappointed. Seating is minimal as the cafe is really, really small. I remember there being three tables inside and two outside.

It was a bit shocking to discover that there were no savory crepes on the menu. Bummer. We both ordered an omelet with spinach, tomato, brandy chicken and cheese and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was delicious, especially the mixed green salad with yellow beets that accompanied our dish. The food was very fresh, clean and earthy tasting. Just my style!

I would definitely come here again.

Five starts does not come easily, or often from this girl. Crepe O Chocolat deserves every single one of them, and I would more than happily add an extra 5 stars if possible. I have no idea how I only discovered this place 4 weeks ago. It's a true hidden treasure in the tourist saturated, over priced union square. Locals who find the eatery with only enough space for a cold case, a counter and one communal round table, consider yourself lucky. Tourist who stumble in and find the mouthwatering pudding cakes, brittles, fresh cream, and homemade granola consider your trip worth the plane ticket.

The biggest thing about Crepe O Chocolat that you must know is it's so much more than just another creperie. I eat here almost everyday now for lunch and I cannot get enough. They have daily salads (usually vegetarian) that range from marinated brussel sprouts, fennel, arugula and avocado to a house-made spicy farro salad. They have the most delicious black quinoa served hot with a gigantic portobello mushroom. If you are more of a sandwich type the they have a case full of long thin baguettes (made fresh daily) filled with everything from egg, ham and Gruyere to barberries and goat cheese. They will gladly press them for you.

You will not be able to ignore the sweet smells as they over take the tiny space. I am dying to try the flour-less chocolate almond cookies. They have homemade kombucha in seasonal flavors, fresh juices and coffees by way of beverages.

Daily salads and entrees are about $10-12 and they are open until 6pm Conveniently located next to Barney's and the rest of the square...it's no wonder I eat here almost everyday!

This place is excellent. To me the food is a combination of authentic French, and innovative cutting edge health conscious food. Not only is the food fantastic, real and fairly priced, the place is run with a great sensibility. I have always encountered  intelligent and friendly service. If you want something real ,delicious, and french in S.F. this is the place.

After a long day on bikes we decided just to go to bed early so we could wake up and get crepes in the morning.

These crepes were nothing special.  It was big with lots of fruits.

I got a fruit and caramel crepe, my friends got the nutella and fruit crepe.

The caramel was not good, the nutella was OK at best.  I wish I would have gotten a crepe at Sophie's while I was in Japantown.

I am in love with this little place!! I go a few times a week, usually for lunch and almost always to get the egg & green bean panini sandwich.  The daily salad on the side and Sylvie's homemade kombucha make for the tastiest, healthiest, yummiest lunch I can find in Union Square.  The prices are very reasonable and everything is FRESH and organic.  She even makes her own yogurt and she is very conscious about the ingredients she uses.  You will feel so good after a lunch at this adorable little spot.  And it is oozing with charm :) GO!

What's up with the heat? At 9:30AM we walked into this place and it was like a sauna. Was the fan not working? Of course everyone was trying to escape from the heat, so they all took the patio tables. When we asked if it was ok to move a table outside, they kinda put up a fuss and told us we had to move the tables back afterwards. Not like there was much going on outside on the sidewalks. Did not have crossiants.. hmm I would consider a breakfast staple for a busy sunny saturday morning. Crepes and chai were decent. It's a tiny place, inside and out, so not much room for dining.

I just got done with Athena's yoga class at the SCLA. Tired and hungry I didn't want to wait in line at Blue Bottle Cafe and I didn't really feel like spending $20 something at the Farmer Brown's all you can eat brunch buffet and to be honest, I kinda wanted something healthy. Right then I looked up and saw Crepe O Chocolat. I had gotten crepes here before, but peered in for a nice salad. The guy behind the counter recommended the chicken turkey salad of the day, I did and he hooked me up! It was light, yummy, and cheap- $5 for a small but was filling enough. Interested flavors in the dressing and I love their organic concept (they didn't have that last time I was here years ago).

Crepe O Chocolat reminds me of one of those random little cafes you'd come across on a side street in Paris. It's run by one woman who cooks everything to order, and there's one big communal round table inside with small tables crammed in the corners.

I think I stopped coming here for a while because it used to be cash only, but she's upgraded to a new system and now takes cards.

I've never been a huge fan of the crepes here, so I scanned the display to see what sandwiches were being offered. A salmon, spinach and cheese on ciabatta sandwich caught my eye. It was sauteed on the spot, and I must say, it was one of the tastiest warm sandwiches I'd ever had.

I have to admit, J-To really sold me on this place because of their fresh fruit and honey rose yogurt. The yogurt was whipped and topped with strawberries, blueberries and pomegranate. It was absolutely divine. At $5.25, it seemed a bit pricey, but it was definitely worth every bite.

So, while I can't say I'm a big fan of their crepes, or that I've even tried anything chocolate there (I hear their chocolate souffle is to die for), I do think their sandwiches are very tasty, and the fresh yogurt is fab!

After a somewhat uneventful meeting I was drained. A crepe sounded like a pleasant counter-depressant.

Crepe O Chocolat is a fairly small place marked by somewhat lazy "Marker Felt" typeface signage. It's easy to miss but if you find Madeline's, it's right next door.

Inside is cramped by a round wooden dining table topped with a tall vase of beautiful fresh flowers. Right beside the table is an open refrigerating cabinet storing a wide variety of yummy looking handmade yogurts, drinks, and eats. The colors in this refrigerated area are lushly varied. The glass counter in the front also hosts some delectable looking treats such as unmixed ingredients, cookies, etc.

Now to order. Menu? Menu? Where is it? The menu is a plain yellow 8 X 10 piece of paper printed with the day's selection. Since people hand it to each other it makes ordering clumsy. Could they not invest in a chalkboard or dry erase board?

I wanted to order the crêpe suzette yet they said they didn't have the orange sauce. Instead I ordered the house special omelette consisting of prosciutto, caramelized apples, and cheese.

Sitting at the communal round dining table felt neighborly and cozy. There isn't much seating here. Possibly ten seats inside and an additional four or five outside. I don't recommend group dining.

Situated on the dining table are various glasses and coffee cups for self service. After receiving my omelette from over the counter I scanned for utensils. I suppose for fear of theft, they keep all their silverware behind they counter. This makes sense but I feel like they could have a better system in play.

My omelette was very tasty. The taste was satisfying enough to overlook the somewhat dry omelette. Accompanying the omelette is a side salad of avocado, beets, fennel, and spring lettuce. The salad was a great green compliment to the yellow square of an omelette. Portions are fair.

It seemed that almost every customer here spoke their native tongue. I guess you can call the atmosphere casual San Francisco/French with a dash of hectic.

___

I'll definitely have to come back to try more of their menu. Desserts -- definitely. Prices are on the pricey side, but food prices overall are on the up and up.

Having been here twice now  - I have come to two overarching verdicts.

1.)Their savory entrees look better than they taste. Many of their main dishes may look colorful and healthy, but there seems to always be something missing or off about them.

2.) Their desserts on the other hand  -  taste just as good as they look.

Today I had their rosewater infused yogurt and fruit bowl. The yogurt was  creme de la fraiche style: thick and full with the lovely subtle aftertaste of fragrant rose. The fruit was piled on generously. Vivid red and purples - with juice popping pomegranate seeds, gigantic sweet strawberries, and perfectly round blueberries.

Want a sweet fix to remember?  Come to Crepe O Chocolat for unique desert decadence  - with a side of healthy.

Okay, I fell in love with the Banana Nutella Crepes! OMG, to die for yummy. I also had their Brandy Chicken Omelet served with some beets & greens which was very tasty. The only bad thing is the place is very tiny. There is 1 round community table inside with seating for 8 or 9 people, but is a great way to make friends!

I have just returned from lunch at Crepe O' Chocolat and have a myriad of questions racing through my head.

Why was I frightened by the surly woman behind the counter?
Why did my lunch companion hesitate to order a chai latte for fear of the wrath of aforementioned woman?
Why did aforementioned woman become so annoyed when I asked to describe exactly what was brandy chicken?
Why was this woman alone during the lunch rush hour?
Why did I have no desire to know how much I paid as I was in such a hurry to be done with all interaction with aforementioned woman?
Why were both entry doors to the café swung open on a very cold, rainy day?
Why was my seared tuna dish utterly unappetizing? A HUGE hunk of tuna (seared, sort of..) over a very sad, blasé bed of greens?
Why did I literally just RACE from Union Square to Seller's Market on 2nd to pick up a Farm Stand salad with rotisserie chicken?

1/2 star for the cute linen napkins hidden in a wooden drawer (?) above the wooden drawer with utensils (?) Upon asking for utensils, the dragon lady nodded to these drawers (so silly of me to not know.)
1/2 star for homemade bottled kombucha with ginger

For something out of the ordinary in Union Square. This place is across from the Men's Macy's, yet I've never noticed until a friend mentioned about it. Had the Saucisson & butter and it was tasty! Though it could be a bit bigger, can't go wrong for $5. Also had a flavored lemonade for $3 (what is this, Stbux?!). Except for the prices, didn't hear any complaints about the food by anyone.

You can kind of sit and eat (there are some outdoor chairs and tables, plus a large communal-type table), though it is too small for a group. The prices are decent considering the touristy area. Will have to return to try other items, especially the crepes.

Nearly every weekday, my breakfast consists of exactly the same thing: one banana, 3 mini blueberry muffins, and a cup of tea. At least two thirds of these items at any given time are from Trader Joe's, and I love each of them for their convenience--bananas are the easiest fruit to transport in a hurry (except when they get bruised and/or smashed in your purse... gross!), and on Sundays I buy a dozen muffins and divide them up into 4 Ziploc bags for the week.

It's a pretty good arrangement, but if you've been calculating along with me, you'll realize it leaves me with one day of the week where I'm sans my much-needed morning carbs. On these days (and those where I'm just too tired/lazy/hungover/foodless to pack breakfast) I'm grateful to have Crepe o Chocolat at my convenience upon exiting the bus on the way to work. This small cafe indeed stocks up on the chocolate confections, though I've only ever gotten the chocolate croissant (my usual morning choice from here). They also have a bunch of those skinny French sandwiches which look yummy.

I'd rate the place higher, but on a couple of occasions they've kind of pissed me off. The first was when I was craving oatmeal one morning and ordered their vegan oatmeal with soy... I had to take it to go, but after I paid they realized they didn't have any lids. I told them to just put some foil over the bowl, and I took off with it in a paper bag. As I was walking down 4th, almost to work, some lady passing me in the opposite direction pointed and said, "Ooo, watch out... you're leaking!" I looked down, and sure enough, I had soy milk dripping through the paper bag, all over my black jacket and black tights. Hmmm. Lovely. Yeah, had to throw THAT away. GRR.

The second time was once when I ordered a chocolate croissant and the lady gave me back too much change but neither of us realized it until I put all the change in my wallet. I was about to leave when the lady hollered--"I'm sorry! Can I have 2 quarters back? I gave you too much change." Annoying much? But I went back to the register anyway, where I proceeded to drop one of the 3 quarters she gave me and it disappeared under a table somewhere. She saw all this happen... even watched as I nearly got down on my hands and knees to find it... but in the end, I couldn't, so I gave her my remaining 50 cents. In the end, I was actually the one cheated a quarter, which I know might seem small... but GRRR x2!!! I realize that these are honest mistakes that could really happen at any place, but trust me... I am NOT one to be messed with in the morning.

Additionally, their door and windows are always open, making it cold in the winter. Their prices for drinks, omelettes and sandwiches are up the wazoo. But they are convenient, I like their chocolate croissants, and perhaps the café is especially nice during SF Indian summers (minus the oh-so-scenic views of squalid O'Farrell Street).

A good option for Union Square. A bit expensive, but I guess that's normal for this area. Not much place to sit; only a large center table (for sharing) and 2 tables outside. Very unfriendly owner and staff too.

The sandwiches (panini? Mini baguette?) are light and interesting. I had the fig and goat cheese mini baguette. It was brunch so it served its purpose of being light, healthy and filling. The bread was good, well-toasted and crunchy. The fig and goat cheese was strange but interesting. A pretty good deal for $5.

I don't like the insulated plastic cup my cafe latte came in. The latte was too hot and it couldn't cool down cos the cup was too insulating. Good if you're sitting outside in the cold I guess.

The crepes are ok.

They have lots of interesting pastries that I haven't tried yet. I'll probably go back cos I haven't found anything better. I just wish there were better seating options (can they remove the gigantic round table and get small cafe tables?) and that they were friendlier. The overly proud owner (I'm trying to be nice) is really off-putting for me.

I go to lunch here just about every week. I'm a huge fan of their strawberry nutella crepes because not only are they tasty but also a good size for what you pay for. I also buy their ready made sandwiches with gruyere cheese. mmm..

This place is right in Union Square, yet off the beaten path enough that it's not crowded. It's a great find in such a popular spot.

1. Egg, gruyere, ham crepe: Simple and good. The egg was plopped right on the crepe cooking thing so it mixes in with the batter.

2. Nutella & Banana crepe: Supposedly had nuts, but I don't think I tasted any. There's few things you can do to screw this up, and they certainly did not. In fact there was more nutella/chocolate drizzled on top, to really hit the point home that I'm eating dessert.

3. Mango lemonade: Interesting. The mango really cuts the sour of the lemonade. I liked it.

If I'm ever hanging out around Union Square, I would definitely come by here for lunch again. It's a nice change of pace from the food court below Bloomingdales.

Oh, if you're looking for napkins and silverware, they are in the drawers by the right wall. The cups are up front and the water is on the table.

Okay, I have to write another update because I hate seeing the one-star review on my page. I've gathered information about this place and here's my conclusion: it's the bitch with the ponytail that ruins it for everyone!

If ever I tell someone about Crepe, they instantly ask if I've experience the mean, ponytail lady!

Here's why they (finally) get three stars: the food is good, but the "devil who wears a ponytail" is bad!

During our shopping excursion, my friend and I wandered into this place.  Despite giving it three stars, I have problems with this place. One person was handling food and money simultaneously. There wasn't enough change in the register for a $20 bill. I wanted to sit outside since it was 80 degrees, but no one cleared the old dishes or wiped down the table. The service (or lack thereof) was terrible.

The food was thankfully much better. We split the prosciutto, caramelized apples, and gruyere omelette ($10.25). The omelette would've been delicious if the prosciutto was from Parma and there was more gruyere. There was no more caramelized applies (go figure), so dried quince was substituted. It came with a salad, which was strange and not good--it had avocados, beets, mangoes, brussel sprouts, and the whole kitchen sink.

We also had the Crepe o Chocolat, of course. I've had crepes in France and I've perfected crepe-making, so this one wasn't very memorable. A good crepe is very thin with a crisp outside and a doughy inside. Furthermore, $6.25 was a bit outrageous for dough and chocolate syrup. I doubt I'll be back, I'm crepe-ing on.

this place has the best macaroons (or caramel coconut).  seriously.  they also have some pretty dope (vegan) banana honey flan bread thing; i get one every time i'm there!

i am a fan of their sandwiches, but not a fan of their salads.  i also tried their vegetarian quiche... and it was a big disappointment!  it had the weirdest vegetables in it (green beans, leeks, cauliflower, etc).

This tiny place is so awesome... I love it already (it was my first time), for me, the place is so homey, that their eating utensils are located on a drawer... so cozy indeed. The super nice & friendly lady owner was very accommodating & friendly... in which she let me tasted a bit of almost everything -- to start with, the homemade yogurt, the vegan oatmeal cake, the cashew nuts with caramel...

For my order, I had their Turkey, Cranberry, & Gruyère sandwich on a walnut wheat bread, toasted to perfection... hmmm, it was really good. And of course, I also had the famous Crepe which was named after the place -- their Crepe O Chocolat & being a sweet tooth, what can I say.... deliciously not so sweet! And for my drink, I tried their fresh Lemon Guava juice... everything in this place is sooo good & healthy, that I will definitely be back (for more tasting... HAHA) :)

I stopped in here and  browsed the breakfast menu. They offer omeletes, but thought I should pass on that.

If you have a sweet tooth, well:

Dessert crepes: strawberry nutella,apple caramel..
Chocolate souffle among a selection of beverages.I decided on getting some hot chocolate.I know,I know how is this helping "you" decide if you want to come here.I thought the place was decent, nice service and decent menu.If you like sweets, crepes and sandwiches how can you deny not trying out such a place.

Most of all I was all smiles when I had seen a bowl on display with some avocado that was cut up.

Next: sandwich

Tiny location, but you can always get orders to go.

One of my most favorite places for food on earth.

How such a little hole-in-the-wall crammed on a side street near Union Square, completely overshadowed by big department stores and hidden in shadow most of the time have some of the simplest and best food is beyond me.

Divine fare, we're talking about fresh egg and avocado sandwiches on pan-fried brioche, savory crepes stuffed with chunky ratatouille to sweet crepes dusted with sugar and drizzled with fresh lemon, delicate little truffles and bite-size candies.... Martha Stewart could go $#!^ herself because this one-woman show takes the cake.

Even more, their hearty vegetable soups with sweet potato, carrots, and crisp green beans are so comforting in the windy chill of winter; and for the thirsty, the fresh and homemade acai, mango, or guava lemonade is a must. ALL FRESH, ALL HOMEMADE. Go eat your heart out and love every minute of it.

And even better, they take credit card now too! (Minimum purchase somewhere around $5-$10 I believe...)

Though I feel it's slightly overpriced, their little pre-made sandwiches ($5) are a fantastic option when you're looking to grab a quick bite, but if you ask me, the real star is the homemade cayenne pepper kombucha ($5). I am HOOKED. It's like drinking cold fire - both exciting and cleansing.

Pint-sized cafe in the FiDi that serves up crepes, home-squeezed juices, teas, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruit and yogurt, etc. They have some tempting-looking candies but I wasn't about to dish out $2 just for one piece.

I ordered a nutella crepe for around ~$6. It was tasty enough but nothing extraordinary. It's a decent place to grab breakfast or lunch if you're in the area though.

I guess I'll be Sylvie's 100th review on Yelp!  I'd been meaning to try Crepe O Chocolat for the longest time- I've passed by this little gem every time I visit my dentist, but regrettably have never been in, for the simple reason that my teeth were hurting after the cleaning administered by said dentist and really, there's no appetite for anything when all you can taste is fluoride and mint-flavored toothpaste.

So when the opportunity presented itself on a day when I wasn't visiting the tooth doctor, I grabbed the chance to go see for myself whether the crepes were all that.  Of course, once entering the premises and perusing the menu, I decide not on a crepe, but an omelet- the house special one with prosciutto, caramelized apples, and Gruyere cheese.  The price may be a tad step, but consider that you get a monstrously huge omelet filled to the brim with cheese, apples, and prosciutto, as well as a tasty side salad with beets, radishes, and avocado.  The salty/sweet combination was fabulous and made for a great lunch.

The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the omelet was not so much an omelet in the traditional sense (I was expecting a lot more egg and perhaps not so much filling) as it was essentially a crepe where the crepe batter had been replaced with two eggs, thin and thoroughly fried.  I probably should have ordered the crepe version, but I was craving eggs.  Not that the omelet wasn't good- in fact, it was an excellent meal- it just didn't fulfill my omelet cravings.

4 stars for now, but I have a feeling I'll be bumping this up to a 5 once I get a taste of the crepes, as well as try out some of her sandwiches.  I will most definitely be back, though probably not at the peak lunch period since the tiny place can get pretty packed.
