7 reviews for Cremcaffe
Lovely little slice of an Italian village right in the East Village. The atmosphere is always warm and cozy and food never disappoints. The menu features standard Italian fare, with some nice specials too. Nothing is over priced.
One my favorite little gems in the city.
Cremcaffe has a wonderful ambiance, great food, and reasonable prices. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and would be a great place for a date night. My gf and I went and I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli and she ordered the pasta ala vodka. Both dishes were tasty, fresh, and filling. We noticed that there is a prix fixe menu which is until 7 p.m. and we look forward to going back for that sometime. Either way, however, the prices are good and the meal is worth every penny.
I adore this little Italian place. Every visit, we're able to sit down almost immediately and never gets too loud.
The bruschetta is delicious and I love that I can order half plates of pasta because a full plate is almost always too much food for me. They have a nice wine selection and the staff and service is always good.
Cremecaffe is a cute, yummy Italian place to eat that won't empty your wallet.
My roommate and her bf keep talking about this place so I wanted to see what the buzz was all about.
I came here for dinner to catch up with a friend. We sat outside and had a great prompt waitress who spoke decent English. We had a pleasant conversation and she told me about the chef who is Northern Italian and we got into details about the difference b/w N and S Italian food. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and she ordered the scaloppine alla romana-breaded veal. The dishes came out within 10 min and came with a great side of sliced potatoes, veggies, zucchini and peppers. Both were savory, yummy and the portions were great.
I highly recommend the cappuccino. One of the best I've ever had. This place lived up to my expectations and I will be returning.

I will not be going back. The downside, appetizers were not tasty, calamari not fresh, caprese salad was done over sorry looking tomatoes and the mozzarella was not any better than what you get at the corner store. The sad thing here are the size of the plates and the garnish are absolutely absurd.
The plates for the appetizers were terribly over sized and their idea of garnish was small pieces of romaine lettuce lined up and down the plate on either side of the appetizer. Gordon Ramsey would punch the owner and chef right in the mouth for this poor display. I should have at least caused a minor scene for being charged $3.00 for a can of diet soda in the LES.
The only upside was their tomato sauce was tasty, the only thing going for them here.
Don't waste your time.

Wonderful homemade meat sauce, fresh bread with oil for dipping, cozy, romantic atmosphere. Nice waitstaff, great location. We split a plate of spaghetti ragu. Simple and delicious.
I was walking by and stopped in - great pasta dishes, friendly wait staff, and I had my food in under 10 minutes. I highly recommend the Penne alla amatriciana.
