Open until 2AM. Enough said. I love places that are open late, I mean if you're up late and you're hungry and need a place to eat, you can't beat a place that's open until 2AM.
There's nothing really wow about this place except for the fact that it's open late. This is proven by the fact that I've been here before tonight and I didn't even remember until I saw the menus. Tonight I ordered curry fish balls, salt and pepper fried chicken wings, sesame balls. They ran out of the sesame balls, wtf, but I guess they probably make their own so get em before they're gone. The curry fish balls were really good and I would definitely order them again. You get about 6 for 3.50 i think, sauce was definitely very addicting, reminds me of hong kong all over again. The salt and pepper fried chicken wings were way too salty and it was fried differently than I was used to, like there was a coating over the skin. I'm normally used to the asian chicken wings that are fried just plainly without any coating, where the skin is crispy. The skin on these weren't crispy at all. The other ones are alot better.
My friends also ordered some stuff but they didn't say much about it. But one of my friends did complain about the amount of mango fuzz that was in his sago. With every bite he'd get fuzz on his tongue so that doesn't sound very appetizing. I also got a taste of my friend's mango mochi. it had coconut shreds on the outside. I'm not particularly fond of mango ice cream but the mochi itself was delicious. But i don't like coconut shreds either, but minus those two factors, it was actually pretty good for homemade.
Some of the items they offer are french toast, potstickers, fried wontons, mango mochi, bunch of different sagos and fruit cups, fruit drinks.
Place is pretty cheap. Bill came out to about 20 bucks for 4 items.
2 stars for the curry fish balls because I've always loved them even when i was little in HK and these are just as good as I remember them. 1 star for being open late night. OH FYI CASH ONLY! Haha definitely remember that cause you don't want to walk in at 1AM and not have the cash to pay and have to go drive further down for an atm. Another pro of it being open late night is there's so much open parking. 10PM and before it's packed but at 1AM, it's wide open parking.
A great after dinner / late night /date dessert spot.
I've gone 3 times to this place and I just love it. They offer a lot of different small dishes including the fried taro cake (dim sum style) which amazingly was really good. I didn't expect it to be good other than being some dry, nuked chewy cake but it was delicious. Crisp and golden edges. I've had some of the fruit platters that came with a magno custard/pudding which all were delicious. It had a bit of a artificial powdery taste to it but hey i like me fake flavors some times =P
It's an atmosphere kinda place, late night, bright-fobalicious type of joint.
Free Wifi I think too, so you can hook up your laptop and being even more fobilcious by playing some RPG =P
They have all the Hong Kong style dessert from the same chain!
Handmade Mango mochi was good!
What better way to close out a trip than with dessert. After a filling dim sum meal, it was suggested we have some authentic Asian desserts at Creations, a place famous for their mango delights. We had tried to come once before but the place was packed when we came and we were relieved to be able to finally give it a try.
Each of us ordered something different and I decided to go with the rice balls in mango and strawberry juice served with mixed fruits. I really enjoyed my cold dessert and the mix of tastes and textures were very pleasant.
While a bit on the expensive side the desserts here were excellent. There's nothing like this in San Diego and it was great to be able to hang out with great friends before heading back to SoCal. We may have been in a huge rush to get to the airport, but I was glad to make the detour before heading out.
Food: 8/10

Man, this place rocked. Totally go for the coconut ice cream with mangoes! I heard they have crystal snow bit they just looked at me funny.
Had a little background history lesson from the BF regarding this place. Apparently it's a big chain in China. They serve some pretty decent desserts here. Mostly gelatinous balls, mango pudding and drinks. I personally like the mango pudding w/ fresh fruit. It comes w/ a scoop of coconut ice cream which is awesome. Had the mango w/ the gelatinous balls once. Not a big fan of the balls. Something about the size and texture makes them feel like you are eating...well....you know......The place can get packed on some nights w/ people hanging out and enjoying their desserts. Great place for stop and go desserts for take out or after dinner.
This place is a regular for my college friends and I. Whenever we're having fun in the city and feel like a refreshing dessert, we come here for their mango, sago, glutinous balls, red bean, etc lol. I've been living in the bay area for little over a year and I could say that I've been here over 10 times, 3-4 times before I even moved up here.
This place originated in HK, so it is definitely nice to have it here in the US to enjoy whenever we want! =D
Be sure not to get here too late after 9pm because that is when it starts to get more crowded. Asians love to eat dessert late at night, so expect a line if you come after 10pm.
I will always be coming here whenever I'm in the city and feel like dessert. Definitely a great place to go to! Enjoy!
I came here last night with a friend and was surprised that this little dessert shop opens till 2AM on a Friday night. Definitely give prop to that.
For mango lovers, this would be the place to go, for some late night sweet treat.
I ordered the black glutinous rice with mango and coconut juice and mango chunks + mango ice cream. Overall, I thought the dessert was so-so. The mangoes were actually not very ripe because it was hard and a little sour. Also, the mango ice cream was as creamy and delicious as I had imagined. It was icy and watery. The portion shown on the menu was deceiving because it actually wasn't a large portion.
It's definitely a place to come for late night dessert, but I don't recommend it because the food is alright.
And it's cash only.
This was my first time in a Hong Kong-style dessert place. The Cantalope mochi was pretty good.
After I came back from Hong Kong, I definitely still had cravings for the mango sago pudding I couldn't stop consuming while I was there. The sweet syrup laden mangoes combined with the creamy texture of coconut milk and the little crystal sago balls...Nothing quenched the heat and humidity like a cold bowl of mango sago pudding.
We were driving by Geary after having Korean food and saw that Creations was really crowded so of course after I saw the sign, "dessert" we had to make a pit stop before going home.
Creations is a franchise from HK and serves mango sago pudding as well as a variety of favorite HK dishes, drinks, desserts.
We had the kwai ling go (literally translates to turtle jelly) jelly drink with mango & coconut and bought some mango mochis coated with coconut.
The mango mochis were really good! The mochi was soft and the real mango inside added the bit of fruit tartness to offset the mochi's sweetness. The kwai ling go drink was very "interesting". The jelly is bitter (tastes sort of herbal) and it tasted a little bit better as we made some progress on the drink but I don't think I'll get that again.
Will definitely want to try the mango sago pudding next time although since SF doesn't get the heat or humidity of HK I don't know if it will hit that same "sweet" spot.
I've never been a huge fan of Chinese / Asian desserts. I think desserts should have whipped cream, chocolate and be made from butter and sugar. Still, after a fiasco of a dinner earlier that night, we were still hungry and determined to end the night on a good note.
While I can't say this place has converted me to all things jelly, gelatinous and fruity - I did appreciate the colorfulness, the naturally sweet flavor and not feeling guilty for ordering 6 desserts. The fresh mango mochi was good ... but covered in coconut flakes (which I didn't care for). The green bean jelly was like opaque and not so sweet jello - also kind of weird to me. But the glutinous rice balls, sago and all the fresh fruit desserts I tried were very good - both light and refreshing. Who knew dessert could come so guilt free?
My FAVORITE dessert place when I was in HK and when I found out that SF had one too, I was SOOO Excited!!!!
This is the epitome of good chinese desserts!! I don't even care about the calories or the sugar, it's just THAT good! I feel like I have returned back to HK everytime i walk into this place!
I recommend getting anything with sago in it, because it's sooo yummy! They are known for their mango desserts, so you can't go wrong with that! Oh, what the hey, I recommend everything on the menu! If in doubt, just blindly point to something on the menu when you order and YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
My skills include running in 5" stiletto heels, stumbling gracefully while drunk, and sucking & swallowing.
I really do enjoy it.
I love the feeling of balls in my mouth, as I run my tongue gently over their curves, before I swallow the white, creamy liquid. I never spit. What a waste of perfectly good protein.
I ordered the crystal snow jelly in mango and coconut milk, which was served in a beautiful glass, layered with jelly, mango bits, coconut milk, and topped with fresh coconut cubes. (http://static.px.yelp....) The crystal snow jelly was soft and chewy, with the consistency of tapioca, but slightly smaller in size. The mango was ripe and delightfully sweet, matching the sweet creaminess of the cool coconut milk.
As I sat sucking each jelly ball up through my straw, I began perusing the back of the dessert menu, which explained the health benefits of protein-choked coconut milk and how beneficial snow jelly is to the complexion of unborn babies.
My non-existent child will be pleased.
I also ordered the mango mochi, (http://static.px.yelp....) filled with fresh mango and covered in shredded coconut. The filling was a tad too sweet, though the mochi were quite fresh and topped generously with coconut. (http://static.px.yelp....)
As I left in sugary happiness, I realized I'd be needing something bitter tonight to balance out all that sweetness.
I came here couple years ago and got some pomelo mango dessert. It was pretty good. Not something I would crave though. I came back today, but only for a drink. I had to beat my curfew at midnight, so my only option was to order drinks for the car ride home. I ordered honey jelly with mango and pomelo. It was decent. The mochi mango balls were a little bland, but I'm sure if it were sweeter, I'd say it's too sweet. Haha. Since we were on a time crunch, they decided to mess up my friend's order. The cashier misheard my friend's order and we had to wait an extra 5 minutes. YES, THOSE WERE PRECIOUS 5 MINUTES BECAUSE WE WERE VERYYY TIGHT ON SCHEDULE. What could we have done? Nothing. Just waited...they brought out the new order and we dashed out of the door. Well priced, good atmosphere, and pretty prompt service.
Wow. Last time I reviewed this place was in 2006, over 3 years ago! It's gotten A LOT more popular in the past 3 years! They've added some nice TV's, fancier chairs, more tables... their menu is bigger too :)
Very asian crowd! But what else can you expect?
Their menu is very expansive. Examples:
-They have chicken wings, ham sandwich, curry fish balls, sweet toast (omg. condensed milk + toast = so chinese = so delicious)
-Basically every combo of: fruits + coconut milk + sago + glutinous rice balls + juice that you can think of!
I SUGGEST #40 Glutinous Rice Balls with Mango Juice & Extra Mangos (and then I ask them to add coconut milk). Inside the bowl is a bomb mango sorbet/ice cream! I like to spoon a bit of mango juice, coconut milk, shave off a bit of the sorbet, and pop in a rice ball for the maximum "MANGO MANIA" bite! Best $5.15 spent!
Oh and I like the authentic little stool's they have - just like the ones I sat on in China! But of course I still prefer the suede gray chairs with backs haha.
They're missing the yummy waffle ice cream sandwiches like they have at Kowloon Tong and my favorite hot dessert, steamed milk with ginger like they have at Golden Island Cafe. It's okay though! There's so many things to choose from on this menu that it completely compensates.

3.5 stars.
OK, so why do I like this place. Great for people watching!! When in season, the fruit desserts are great!!! Love ordering a lot of different desserts and sharing with my friend! Kind of comfy depending on where you sit. They don't have wifi but can get it there from a nearby business!
Negative: a little pricey for what you get. The fruit especially the mango can really suck when it is not in season.
Overall, I still like coming here. Service is fine to me. They serve you tea when you get seated... odd having tea with ice cream sometimes but hey! I like tea!!!
I had a simple request...can I have coconut ice cream with mango's. The answer was NO...we cannot do that for you. Well why the hell not???? Soooooo ANNOYING! I swear these Chinese joints do not know how to accommodate their customers. Then I ordered a peanut butter/ condensed milk toast. I swear it was something else via pics, so when they brought it to my table and it wasn't what I expected...I then asked to exchange it for something else and the reply was NO NO NO.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are not in Asia, please accommodate your customer's needs!
Okay, I didn't try the crystal snow. I couldn't get myself to do it.
I did get the mango pudding with mixed fruit though. It was...interesting. The mango pudding was slightly warm but tasted like plastic and not at all like a smooth mango dessert. The coconut ice cream scoop that came with it was overwhelmingly coconut-y and left a strange aftertaste. The 'fresh' fruit was anything but - a bit on the overripe side and who knows how old it was.
I don't know if I'd ever be back, but it's a good hang out place, so if someone wants to chill here, I know better now on what not to get.
If you like Mango's, you'll love this place. Many of their dessert items include Mangos and fresh fruit. This is one of the few Creations Desserts in the United States, but there are a LOT abroad. The first time I had it was in Hong Kong, and if this were an exact replica of HK, it would get 5 stars, no doubt.
The fruit is nice, but not as fresh and sweet as it could be. Its relatively artistically done and generally pretty good. Their menu drinks from 52 to 57, minus 56, are all special for $1.99, for a small size.
Service varies. When its packed, don't expect great service. I find that talking to them in Chinese gets them over quicker and gets things done correctly, the first time. Then again, you can order in English and get similar service.
I like that this place is open late, so if I have a midnight dessert craving, I can come here. I DON'T like that they're not open until later in the day, so I can't come here in the afternoon.
Awesome place for locals. Their birdsnest with watermelon is really good but my favorite was their watermelon smoothie thing with aloe vera.
The birdsnest thing is kind of like a shaved ice halo halo (for my filipino peeps) and has chunks of watermelon in it and flavoring. Super good and I helped my wife finish it rather quickly.
I ordered the watermelon smoothie (we're watermelon fans) and it had a huge blob of aloe vera at the bottom. This isn't like the aloe vera you get at cha for tea or some other place. This is serious - there's a distinct aftertaste to it that makes it a little hard to get used to. I want to say it was slightly sour/bitter/tasted like it shouldn't go in a drink - but it totally did. I've been looking for something similar ever since I got back to OC.
The bst part about this place, however, is how late it stays open and it just feels like a cool place to hang out after eating at some fancy restaurant. The place itself isn't fancy, but it reminded me of the good old college days when you just hung out and ordered small little desserts/drinks and talked to your friends. Good times.
I came here recently with some of my coworkers after going out for dinner. They usually go here but I never went with them. Decent dessert place. They seated us, even though we had a fairly larger group. (We had like 12 people). It took really long for them to make our dessert. I don't understand why it takes more than 20 min to make simple Chinese desserts. They even forgot one of our friends orders. So this is why I'm giving it 2 stars. It wasn't the best dessert place, but wasn't that bad. Creations is kind of expensive. I paid over $6 for my dessert. I wasn't sure what to order, so I ordered what was "popular" over there.
Came here with a couple of friends to try the mango mochi but unfortunately, they ran out. I got the glutinous rice ball with mango and coconut juice. This is seriously my new favorite dessert. It's so scrumptious. I would recommend coming here for a snack or after eating dinner with the family.
A great place to hang out and have Asian desserts if you happen to be around the area. The mango madness selections hits the spot and I really liked the mochi balls... in fact I like those things in general. Indeed, about $6 for the mango thing is slightly overpriced but you cant expect to get a great deal everywhere right?
Thank you yelpers for helping me to decide on this dessert place for my family. This was so amazing since my youngest has gluten allergies yet here he was able to eat pretty much everything since it was mostly fruit-based.
My dh had the half sesame, half coconut dessert (#19) where it seemed like he was eating shaved ice cream. He's not a dessert guy but he loved this since the combo sesame & coconut wasn't too sweet and it had fresh fruit surrounding it. My kids shared the mango dessert (#16) that came in a heart-shaped bowl, which they loved, and this was the first time they finished their dessert before we did - and we started eating before them! I had the rice ball with black rice and taro (big yummy chunks) with a side of coconut pudding with red bean inside (#27). This was so good with the hot and cold of the two dishes side-by-side. We loved everything and cannot wait to go back to try the other desserts.
First time being in such an Asian-y dessert place. I am a disgrace of an ABC who lived in SF most of her life.
Seeing how I can't read Chinese I had to read the English. The English didn't make the dessert sound that appetizing. Glutinous rice balls, or sago. What is sago? It was like everywhere on the menu. We asked and Sago is mini tapioca. The pictures were really helpful. They offer A LOT of mango.
The dessert isn't like super good or maybe I need to get use to Chinese desserts. The decor there is really spacious and nice. I like it. The outside make it look really Chinese but the inside is really modern.
I couldn't finish mine but my friends did. Definitely more healthy than American style desserts. The price for the desserts is pretty good.
A nice place to hang out and talk with friends.
I like this place for a few reasons: they serve tea, their desserts are mostly fruit, and it's somewhat stylish/comfortable furniture. The atmosphere is pretty nice and comfortable, chill spot. I completely forgot what they call their fruit and juice mochi dessert, but I love it. Killing two birds with one stone!
However, it's cash only, asian youth hang out spot, if you're not asian or don't come with someone asian, be prepared for a slight stare down.
I like the free tea!
I wish the words on the menu was LARGER because I had to squint. I'm sure older folks will probably need to bust out a magnifying glass.
Service was prompt and friendly. I like the Asian boyband music in the background. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable ( or at least I feel comfortable answering nature's call.)
I liked the mango ice cream with fresh fruits. Refreshing and not too sweet dessert that tops of any meal.
Parking is difficult be on the lookout. Oh yes, bring cash money. CASH ONLY.
I will not go in here without at least one Chinese speaking person, and you shouldn't either. Trust.
You don't go here to eat dessert. You go here to hang out with friends hella late night.
Everything has mango. If it doesn't, it has strawberries. If it doesn't it's, fried. The mango mochi is actually really tasty but I think you can get it at any Asian supermarket for 2 dollars less. Meh.
I usually spend about 7 bucks in this place for a watermelon / aloe vera drink and chicken wings.
The environment is really nice. The place is big, well lit, with the flat screen TV (that plays nothing but Asian music videos or dramas). The service is quick but impersonal. They bring you tea, food, the check without even a hint of a smile on their face.
I'll never suggest to come here. But I'll never refuse an invitation.
Cash only. Boo.
From the outside, this place looks like a chinese restaurant...two golden dragons and all! But in the inside, it's straight mango madness!
I know nothing about Chinese desserts, but I like what I've tasted so far. The mango sago is yum, but I think I prefer the mango pudding with mixed fresh fruit. For $5.25, the whole shabang gets served in a cute heart shaped dish.
It's open late night. Tables seat 4 comfortably and 6 a little less comfortably. I think they're able to take one large group in the back. They don't take reservations even for large groups. If you go late night on a weekend, odds are you'll have to wait at least 10 mins depending on your group size.
Sunday 11pm. I'm on the hunt again for late night Asian desserts. Creations looked like a welcoming place! Upon arrival, Creations provided exactly what I was looking for: a clean and even stylish! setting with comfortable booth seating. Hopefully delicious desserts! People weren't kidding when they said this is a fruity dessert place. The menu was basically ALL fruit based besides the exception of only a handful of items. I liked their free flower tea. It was fragrant and hot. The food was not so great.
Mango Pudding with Bird's Nest - This came with an almond flavored scoop of icee (real ice cream would have been better), mango pudding, and a few chunks of mango. Bird's nest was on top of all that and it basically tastes like small tapicoa balls. Almond flavored ice is cool but I don't prefer it. I thought at least the mango pudding would be tasty but that turned out to be a disappointment too.
Mango Jelly in Mango Juice - Thick, sour, flavorless drink. Never again.
Pomelo Sago - I picked the honeydew juice to go with the melon, almond icee (again), and grapefruit bits. What is this?! BLAND and BORING. The fruit wasn't even sweet!
Fried Radish Cake - This was pretty tiny, only one piece cut in half! It was pretty normal but I guess it was the tastiest item that night. Though it was totally not worth the $2.50.
Fried Shrimp Dumpings - A sign on the wall stated those exact words but what we got was three pieces of fried shrimp. How are these dumplings?! You've been warned!
Mission FAILED. Yelpers please help me find a better dessert cafe!
I'm giving it 3.5 stars...
Parking wasn't so bad. I guess because it was Sunday mid later afternoon. My friend and I walked in and it wasn't that crowded. The waitress quickly sat us down and served us lychee red tea. I looked through the menu and was very delighted to see pictures... hehe...
I ordered the Black Glutinous Rice w Mango and Coconut Juice w Extra Mango which was highly suggested by the waitress. I thought it was going to be very sweet but instead, very refreshing. The mango was fairly sweet and soft but not soggy. The coconut juice blended in with the mango well. The black glutinous rice was.. ehhh.. ok? The rice didn't "wow" me. Overall, the dessert was refreshing and not very sweet.
The place is pretty open and easy to find. The menu has a large selection for you to choose from. It's a nice, simple place to hang out with a few friends. The prices are reasonable. It's something new and different and worth a try.
Highly recommended for Mango Lovers...
Oh, they only accept cash.
I tried the coconut mango aloe drink (which I liked - yummy aloe and mango, coconut didn't taste as rich as some of the other ones I've had) while my friend had the watermelon aloe drink (she thought it was quite plain). And so my search for good drinks in NorCal continues. The mochi looked good though, so I'll have to come back and try the other desserts.
Mango Mochi! The Best if you like Mochi & Fresh Mango! It's #31 which is 3 to an order for $2.50. If you want the tray it's 2 orders: 6 for $5! Chinese healthy desserts: location in HK & Shanghai.
We went after Temple of Poi Festival since we had a car and we had parking (very hard). It's on Geary, between 16th & 17th.
I got:
black sesame w/ gelatinous balls $3.25 - served Hot. Black sesame liquid was sweet & good, balls were sweet too and small. Overall, pretty good.
Hubby got a Ham & Egg sandwich $4.30 - on White bread, very old-school American sandwich. Looked boring, but he ate it all.
My order of Mango Mochi $5 for 6. It's very tasty. Soft mochi w/ chocolate sprinkles, fresh mango inside. Yummy.
CASH ONLY. One unisex bathroom in the back.
I came here for a post-dim sum dessert drink. I had the watermelon juice with aloe, and it was delicious.
It took a little long to prepare, but I realized that's because they cut up a watermelon and scooped plenty of fresh fruit into the blender, blended it up real good with a little ice, then poured it into a cup that had some aloe jelly at the bottom.
It was very refreshing and tasty. My friend had a drink with mango, sago, and I think coconut milk, which was also great.
we decided to come here after dinner because we haven't been here in a while. after eating our desserts we realized we forgot why we didn't like coming here. we've probably been here a couple times since the last review and we keep forgetting why we should just stop coming here altogether. the menu has not changed much, except for the price tag... we ordered one of the mango desserts with black glutinous rice and it was just swimming in some milky concoction which left a weird feeling in my mouth. the mango was also really sour and for something thats supposed to have "extra mango" we really didn't get that much mango. i guess its because they realized how crappy their mango was and wanted to save face by giving us less. with the great selection of chinese dessert place in san francisco it will be a long time before we make our rounds back to this one.

This place sucks. All the employees here are so incredibly inattentive. The food here is alright. I've definitely had better before. Also prepare to get shunned even more by the employees if you aren't a fob like 90% of the people that come here.
I think probably eh drinks are the best I've had of their massive menu.
Kwai Ling jelly with coconut juice and ice cream is my favorite so far. I highly recommend this. If your looking for a sago drink get it with coconut juice and mango, super tasty.

Nothing special in my books.
My home boy and I went here after tryna find a cupcake place that was open past 830PM, we were unsuccessful, so we came here. Their menu looks super good and I really wanted to try this thing called a Bird's Nest but after my homie told me what it is.. I didn't feel so adventurous anymore..
I had some.. Mango and Strawberry puree with boba balls and bowl of fresh fruits.. It took like 25 minutes for that thing to come out and we were in a rush.. The strawberry puree was super watery but the mango one was on point..
The spot is pretty chill, nice decor, waiter/tress were okay it took a while to get their attention because they kept talking with each other. Parking is always hard to find around the area..
I'd go back if I'm craving it.. But genkis isn't that far and I'd prefer that over this place..
If I am willing to drive 30 - 45 minutes for some last night dessert, this place must be worth it. Everytime I go back home to Northern California, this a MUST-go place for my friends and I. It is now our tradition :o)
Yes, there are loads of mango here in the desserts. Their portions are of a nice size, and I enjoy the chewy white glutinous balls. But, really, their desserts are just okay. Their ice cream is more ice than cream. Their mango juice taste more than like syrup than authentic.
But the place is big enough to accommodate large groups. Sometimes, they are understaffed, and when that happens, service slows to a craaawwwwl. This place seems to get more of the younger crowd (seniors in high school??) than the other dessert places.
I would not come back on my own, but if my friends want to get dessert here, I wouldn't mind.
