I had no choice but to give this junk shop, I mean, furniture shop at least 1 star. Like the other yelper said...I'd give it a negative one thousand if I had that option.
Crazy Mike surely stands for his name...C-R-A-Z-Y!
During my freshman year at UH, my mom bought me a bed set. But they said they would have to deliver the frame at a later time because they didn't have in-stock. So, we were given at least a week to get it. A week later, I didn't get any call or whatsoever from them. Luckily for them, I remembered about the bed frame 2 weeks later. So I followed up on it and asked them. The guy who answered the phone had no idea what I was talking about. I even read to him over the phone my receipt number. He still had no idea what that was about. So, I had to tell him to ask his manager about the item. But he said MIKE wasn't there, and he has no one to ask. So, I asked if he could tell his manager to give me a call once he gets in. As usual, I didn't get a call for effin 3 weeks. I let it go because I was really busy with school and didn't really care about it. But when my parents visited me  in the apartment, they noticed that I still didn't get my bed frame.
The same exact process happened. But this time, it has been couple months or so, and they still didn't deliver the bed frame. My family paid for the item and the delivery....for nothing! I mean, it wasn't much, but I'd still want to get what we paid for, ya know!?
So, that was almost 4 years ago...I stopped thinking about it till now. But then, me and my mom looked in there when I was looking for living room furniture for my new apartment, and I ended up remembering my horrible experience from the last time....

I would NEVER EVER buy my furniture there EVER AGAIN!
Ebay/Craigslist is so much better. But beware of Scam and Mike's Ads. HA!

I entered the 'showroom' downstairs to find a bunch of overpriced futons and glass top coffee tables.  There wasn't much of anything & after a 5 min walk through, left.  As I walked out, a security guard sweeping the front asked me if I'd gone upstairs.  In my typical facetious manner, I asked "Should I?"  He then informed me that taking the unmarked elevator would transport me to the 'real showroom'.  With glimmering hope, I took the short ride up.

Again, I was met with disappointment.  Nearly all the furniture was priced comparably with the pieces I'd seen @ the Home World the wk before.  There was no 'discount' from Mike & as promptly as I came, I left Mike's crazy self.

I'm cracking up reading these horror stories.  My friend bought a sofa or something there and was promised cushions.  When the cushions never arrived with the sofa he called up to complain.  I guess he talked to the wife and she relayed the complaint to Mike because my friend was left the most hillarious voicemail.  All voicemail long this Mike dude was screaming and swearing like a crackhead.  (All this was over a couple of missing cushions)  It was soooooo funny to listen to.  Why would you let yourself be recorded acting so unprofessionally?  Stay away from this place, I know I will.

My bf & I our first time been to this place and this looks like a dump!  I must agree with dezman on this b/c the owner have no respect whatsoever to their employees and to customers.  Their furniture isn't that great!  Looks like filth when you first walkin the door.  I could see this business is going downhill the rate they are going! Thumbs DOWN!

We too had a crazy experience at Crazy Mike's. I've seen better quality furniture in alleys and dumpsters.

At one point we were inspecting some stained, torn mattresses that were leaned up against a wall, and a jam-stained toddler wearing only a diaper came running out from behind the mattress. That's really all you need to know about Crazy Mike's.

Had a hard time finding any vanity furnitures...you know, those types where a female (normally) would sit down and there's that mirror in front and all those drawers to hold one's miscellaneous items...  Went to some other places (including the famous furniture store @ Alapai and Beretania Sts. Way overpriced over there!... Final stop was Crazy Mike's... yes, it looks more like a warehouse than a showroom, but hey...it saves everyone money...  Well, my wife found the vanity she wanted (made by Coaster Fine Furnitures of Taiwan) and we told the person we'd think about it She called to place the order the next day after thinking over that it was the best price/color we came across..

We were told it would take about 4 weeks and that it comes unassembled, got it in 5 weeks...some other reviewers also said 5 weeks, so it's ok.  Went to pick it up, the owner looked at our invoice...had someone pick it up in the warehouse and deliver to our car...that person thanked ME and said 'God Bless' and wasn't looking for a tip (it weighed over 70 lbs in the box unassembled).

Got home, installed it easily with just a phillips screwdriver...many parts were already assembled...so it didn't take THAT long...leisurely 1 hour work time...

I'd go again...yeah, one might think that you won't see a good selection of furnitures when you first walk in to the ground floor office, etc area...but that's because the area to see the furnitures are upstairs through the elevator on the left of the store entryway.

Btw, saw the two delivery guys that I guess some previous reviewers were commenting about being 'friendly' (they were loading their last items of furnitures onto their truck and were making small talk and also appeared jovial while we waited for our box of furniture to be brought to us).

BEWARE:  CRAZY HE IS, FO SHO.

The one star is not by choice.  If it were my choice, it would've been negative one thousand stars.

The name halfway says it all.  Crazy, Mike is.  Discount furniture? I think not.

We went in looking for a small dining set.   We found one that was priced so-so, but we were just tired of looking so we purchased it.  We noticed that the chairs were wobbly, so the sales guy said that he would have them fixed and that we could pick them up at 4:30pm that day.  So, we paid the guy and left ( that was about 12pm ).

So, there we were at 4:30p at the store and the chairs were still wobbly (one leg on each chair was about a 1/4 of an inch off the ground).  The receptionist girl got one of the assembly employees to fix our chairs.  Right away, the assembly person saw that the chairs were not put together correctly.  That assembly girl seemed to be the only "normal" person there.  She knew what the problem was and was on it to fix it asap.  She ROCKED.   Then crazy mike showed up and found out what was happening.  So, he decided to get in on the action and started to re-assemble the chairs too.  Then he started complaining about the initial assembly job.  Then he was trying to blame someone for that.  Then he complained to the friendly assembly girl that she was assembling it all wrong.  Basically he belittled all his employees in front of us.  Then he said that he was paying them too much for the crappy job they were doing.  He was a jerk.  We just wanted our chairs fixed.  In the middle of his complaining, H noticed that there were screws sticking out of the side of the chair and that the chair was STILL a 1/4 inch off the ground.  So, we brought that up to crazy mike and he flipped his lid.  Crazy is NOT the word for his behavior, try "Belligerent and Extremely Unprofessional Mike".   The assembly girl just looked like she wanted to take that drill and show him what to really do with it.  The receptionist girl seemed disgusted and H... well, H was about to break that already broke-arse chair over his head.   So, Crazy Belligerent and Extremely Unprofessional Mike threw a tantrum and screamed, " JUST THROW IT AWAY AND GIVE THEM THERE MONEY BACK!!!!!! WEH WEH WEHHHHHH!!!!! "

GOOD GRIEF!!!!  I have NEVER seen such belligerent behavior from an adult before... oh well, maybe from a drunk or crack head on the street or something.  Whatever.  I'm not ever gracing his doorstep again and I will spread the word.

NEWS FLASH MENTAL MIKE:  You earn respect by giving respect.
That goes for employees and customers alike.  Furthermore, without customers, you don't have a business.  So maybe you should lose the "crazy" part, mike.
