Lo, but for this particular Cracker Barrel, I think I would likely be a completely raving lunatic.

As much as I like to reminisce about Fairmont, actually living in Fairmont wasn't always a picnic.  It is a little isolated, especially in the winter.  You can feel a little cut off from civilization.  Therefore, had it not been for this godsend of corporate gluttony, there are times when I probably would have become completely unhinged and totally lost touch with reality.

So, thank you Cracker Barrel store #376, you carried me through the rough times.

Coming here was my first exposure to Cracker Barrel. Coming down from Cheat Lake on I-79 you can't miss it when passing through Fairmont. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. Huge restaurant filled with locals dining on good home cooking. Not to mention a country store with lots of good stuff to buy (chocolate covered pecans!)The menu itself is gigantic. It was something like "get one entree and three other sides". Have I died and gone to heaven? Two meals worth of food and all it was delicious. It was a defining moment in my trip to West Virginia, and it still brings a tear to my eye.

Ok...I'm not usually a chain reviewer, or patron for that matter, but when it comes to the CB, I'm in. I have to say that this is by far the BEST CB that I have been to (and that's compared to about 30 others across the country). The service is always fast and courteous, the food fresh and yummy, and it never seems over crowded. If you are in Morgantown, skip the new CB, and drive a little further down to Fairmont....you won't be sorry!!!
