Service is always hit and miss and when it's bad, it's horrible. It's sad because the food is good and they have some excellent servers but when it's almost a 50/50 chance you're going to get someone forgetful like asks if you want biscuits, you say yes, and never returns with them, gets your order wrong, or you have to ask twice or 3 times for something because their head isn't there makes it a frustrating experience. I still tip 15% because they do the bare minimum but if I ever go back 0 will be my new minimum. ​It's just happened too often.

If this review was for the food - at least the food we got - it would be more stars but this has to be my most disappointing experience at Cracker Barrel. Yes, it's Mothers Day and we expected it to be busy. When the gal who took our name said the wait would be 50 minutes we kind of expected that but then she said if we were willing to sit outside it would be shorter we said "sure". Well, after 60 minutes of waiting we were 8th on the list. When our name was called they seated us on the patio - our shorter wait time took 20 minutes longer. Our server was very nice and running back and forth to the kitchen...the patio was a long ways to the kitchen. Our appetizer came out followed by J's meatloaf and my hubby got his French toast and B got her eggs and bacon. 5 minutes later my hubby and I got our eggs and bacon. B and I are still missing our French toast. 5 minutes...no toast. Server swings by and says he's grabbing it. More time passes and still no French toast and the guys are done with their meal. We ask for the manager and we are given the "we're busy" excuse and "Ian's said she knew our order got missed and it would be out soon" and offers to get J a refill on his Coke. Really?!? I said I wanted our entire meal comped and she said she would just comp the French toast. We came here to dine together and our meal choice WAS the French toast! I felt our entire meal should be comped since we waited 80 minutes to get seated, dined with flies and a loudspeaker in our ear the entire time but she refused. The ambiance was horrible (they should've turned off or at least lowered the volume on the loudspeaker) and if you are going to add extra seating make sure you are able to accommodate your guests. We were just passing through and 2+ hours after we arrived (more than 30 minutes after ordering) I finally got my French toast. When we got our bill she comped the two French toast meals. Ended up taking it with us....so I could at least eat the strawberries.
Summary:
1. At least 20 minutes over promised time
2. Flies all over outdoor eating area
3. LOUD table announcements continuously during meal
4. Food arrived in various stages over 30 minute period so unable to eat together
5. Not comped for horrible dining experience

Looked clean
Service was slow and forgetful
Food was ok. The biscuits were good, cornbread was trash.
Waiter took our order, brought out wife's food and half of my order. Mentioned to waiter multiple of times. Still after 25-30mins of waiting still never came. Every time I mentioned it to waiter he said they are still cooking it. Honestly he had no idea.
Spoke to manager about and I was polite about it. They said they would comp my meal. That I did not eat.
Prices were ok

Plate was warm food was room temp. Guess it's my fault for coming in at 8:30 for a late dinner. Took 30 min just to get a cup of coffee. Nothing impressive here. Maybe breakfast is better.

Service wasn't great but the food pretty much was.
Service: our service didn't seem to care to much and we had to ask for bread and the check otherwise we got our stuff and it wasn't bad. Service at the register was good and the lady was friendly.
Food: ordered to Cracker Barrel plates with 3 mains and 2 sides. OMG its more then enough for two so the value is killer. Drinks were find and the cost is overall really good. The country ham (not the sugar) is SOOO salty, almost not eat able : ( but the rest was decent. Drunken apples are always bomb
Shopping: omg all the good stuff. Hard not to walk away with something..

Food was amazing as always, our server came and took our drink order along with our appetizers and food order then 30 min goes by and our sever had their back turned from us and ignored our table 4 times when we tried to get their attention multiple times.

It's been a long while since we have been at this location. We were surprised that the parking lot was so empty. When we first sat down our table was wet because it had been wiped down but not dried, we were never served our drinks, our eggs were cold, The sausage patty was completely dried out the grits were runny, the hash brown casserole was inedible, and our service was extremely slow. The one bright spot is that they actually did do the bacon extra crispy as requested! It's sad but this is one of the reasons that it makes it difficult to go out to eat when you know that the servers are counting on your tips and you are being required to tip on horrible food and service.

Sitting here waiting on curbside order that was supposed to be ready 45 minutes ago. Had to convince 2 managers that I was not picking up cold food for Thanksgiving but hot food that was normal curbside. Ridiculous. I ordered days ago. I followed instructions in the confirmation email. This Cracker Barrell location is terribly disappointing. Company lunch will not happen on time because of them.
