After seeing this on Yelp I decided to try it today.  Not my favorite deli in the area, but the Turkeyberry Sandwich I ordered was pretty tasty.

The Owner/Cashier/Waitress/Manger Kitty is a sweetheart! She remembers us every time we come by which should be more often.
They are famous for their sandwiches, however I cannot seem to order anything but the Chow Fun which is a Thai version of the Chinese favorite. When I say this Chow Fun is fantastic -that is an understatement. It is made to order and you can get it regular, hot or spicy. I prefer it very spicy with carrots. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I have heard their Pad Thai is also an excellent choice.
If you havent tapped into this diamond in the rough, I must insist that you try the Chow Fun. You will not be sorry, I guarantee it!
In addition they have really good bagel breakfast sandwiches with scrambled egg, bacon and/or sausage and cheese. Did I mention their TurkeyCado sandwich!?!
I can go on and on.......but is it time for lunch yet?

This is the best Thai food in Fremont.  The Pad Thai is perfect. Every Tahi dish is made to perfection.  The flavors are mouth watering.  Though they sell deli sandwiches go for the authentic Thai dishes.  Family run - they take care of you.  Don't for get the Fried Bananas for desert.

The sandwiches are amazing and so are the Thai dishes. I have tried almost everything and it has all been very good. Happy Hour is great too, with the springs rolls as a great start.

I am also a big fan of their coffee drinks, I recommend trying an americano with half and half or their special hot teas.

They are open Monday - Friday 11:00am - 9:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays 12:00pm - 9pm.

The owners are very nice and I think this is one of Fremont's best kept secrets.

Didn't try the sandwiches, but the Pad Thai I got to go was surprisingly good - it wasn't greasy at all, and the chicken and shrimp were really good quality. I'd like to go back and try the sandwiches. If they're pretty decent, this place really has done a good job combining a deli with a take-out Thai place.
UPDATE: Tried sandwiches and they were horrible. Would rather go somewhere else to get Pad Thai.

Gotta agree with the first review. Good Thai and deli sandwiches.

Haven't figured out whats up with the unused bar in the middle of the eating area either.  I'd come more often if I could have a beer with my thai.

So to answer your first question: Yes, I am concerned by a Deli/Thai Food/Bar combination.  I really, really am.  But, being a block from my new temporary office, I tried the place out today.  It's owned and staffed by a husband and wife and while their food names and scatter-shot approach at defining their establishment suggests a limited grasp of the local culture and expectations, their Thai food and sandwiches far exceed the genres as either a Thai lunch take-out joint or as a Deli.  There was nobody behind the bar or I woulda had a pint, too.

It's one of these places you love to hate.  Situated right below my work, so I go there on days I get too lazy to 1) bring my lunch or 2) walk across the street to indulge in a Chiptole Burrito (yum).
Recommended: Thai Food-Pad Thai is very very good and by far the best I have tasted.  Cookies, eventhough they are frozen and baked every morning...it's pretty darn good. Very chewy and soft.
Not Recommended:Sandwiches, although not bad if you get them once a year..I usually like Turkey and over here I am not sure if I want to pay $5.00 for something I can make at home. I think it must be the industrial bread they use, it's not very gourmet...and to me it makes a difference.  Their gourmet sandwiches (minus gourmet bread) are pretty good, but still cannot compare to Panera which is actually across the street and sometimes Subway.  Oh yeah, and their salad is pretty cardboardish, I only buy them on days I want to diet.
Prices are pretty high but you do get very competent service and I like supporting family owned businesses.  Kitty and Alan are the owners and they are very nice and friendly, but don't expect hookups.  If they make mistakes on your sand which they will probably just fix it and never make a new one...unless they really mess up.  One time my co-workers and I bullet listed listed our order as 1. item x 2.item y and 3. item z and ended up getting 1 of item x 2 of item y and 3 of item z, so make sure you are very clear on any orders you place over the phone etc.  I had to buy all those extra sandwiches as well...so if it wasn't because we had a work account (we of course at all the sandwiches for dinner) I think we would of not been happy campers.
I have worked in this plaza for the last 10 years and everytime I start eating here (just normal sandwhiches) I gain 10 pounds, so I am starting to wonder about the ingredients.

I've been visiting the Cracker Barrel for over 10 years and have always been greeted warmly and recognized instantly by the proprietors, even after long periods away.  The ambience is that of a small, family-owned "lunch place" and is nothing at all special, however, the REAL start here is the Pad Thai!  I absolutely LOVE the Pad Thai at this place!  It is BY FAR the very BEST Pad Thai within 50 miles of my home (and, that's saying a lot seeing as how I live in Fremont)!  I always get the VERY spicy TOFU Pad Thai and am never disappointed!  Don't know what you're gonna have for lunch tomorrow? My suggestion is that you visit The Cracker Barrel and grab a takeout box of Pad Thai!
