A great great golf course. It's off the freeway, but we did not notice much from the course we were playing on. It's in amazing condition, great greens and fairways. The view is just gorgeous. It is a slightly challenging course when compared to muni courses.
Price, expect to shell out a nice chunk of change: $100+ per person on the weekend. Cart is mandatory. Was great on the company account back in the day. Do not know if I would shell out my own pocket. Not that much nicer than some muni courses.
By far, the best driving range though. Real grass, so bring your own tees. My absolute favorite, pity it's so far away. Highly recommend the driving range for some real practice, try the course maybe once at your own discretion. -

I've been meaning to play this course for a long time and I'm glad I held up. This course was such a disappointment that I doubt I'll be coming back unless I get the same deal my friend hooked our foursome up with.
The design of the tournament course is incredible, but the conditions of the greens and bunkers was something left to be undesired. The greens needed seeding badly. Some holes even had actual holes or punch marks on them that diverted 2 good putts I should have had par for. The bunkers, too, were a disappointment. Some of the bunkers didn't drain very well as to create standing water in a few of them. It was ridiculous. I hate having to read the rules book for such a thing. One of my foursome got lucky and cost me some 'cheddar' with the favorable rules regarding water in the bunkers. Damn the drainage or sprinklers or groundskeepers!
Nice looking club house. I like the fact that the carts are equipped with GPS, too, because it sped up the pace of play with the slow foursome ahead of us. Geez, weekend golfers! I can't see myself paying for full price here though. For a course that cost roughly $100 dollars you'd think they have conditions close to good as possible. They don't have to be pristine, just good. Incredible design though! I think for a $100 bucks you can find similar courses that are cheaper and are taken care of a little better. I wish I had gotten to play this course when it was a municipal and cheaper back in the day.Listed in: Roughing it!

I could not agree more with Peter J.'s review. The "$99 - All you can Play and Eat" deal is the best thing going in Bay Area golf. I have managed to crank out an excruciating 54 holes, albeit the last few holes in the dark. I'm looking forward to doing it again this year.
Tournament Course: Again, read Peter J.'s description. It's the newer course of the two.
Valley Course: This is the one disappointment about the course. For those longtime residents of the Bay Area, this is actually the old Riverside golf course. Oddly enough, the holes have changed very little, but the order turns into a Laurel & Hardy routine as you race back and forth from one green to the next tee. As in the old days, it's still very flat and fairly wide open. Definitely the easier of the two, but not worth the steep prices. (When it was Riverside Golf Course, it was a whopping $12 for 18 holes.)
They have wonderful facilities, great food, a fine selection of beers and a decent pro shop. The Club House is in great condition and if you want to pretend you are a member at a country club, they do have a dirt-cheap Members program.
They have a LOT of tournaments during the year, and it can sometimes be difficult to get a tee time during the Summer. Be prepared to tee off EARLY!
WARNING: Don't show up in denim! The Pro Shop attendants will read you the riot act! Regardless of the fact that this is a public course, there is a dress code. -

The place just didn't impress me. It's a nice golf course and all, but it's in the middle of nowhere next to a freeway. When I'm playing golf I don't want to see cars rushing by.

Coyote Creek has been open for a number of years now and is a Jack Nicklaus design course. I tried it right after it opened and again recently. Speaking as a +0.5 handicap, this course isn't hard but I can see it being tricky for the mid- to high-handicappers out there. Not too long and can be overpowered if you hit it long. Good clubhouse and pro shop. Course is overpriced compared to other quality options in the area. Depending on the time of the year (mid-July to August), the course can get dry, but that is to be expected. Worth a try in you can't make it to any of the other courses in the area.

mmmm golf.. i love golf.
there are actually 2 courses here. the valley side and tournament side. i have only played the tournament side because it looks more interesting. its a Jack Nicklaus designed course so you cant go wrong. its usually not that crowded or at least the times ive gone and the greens are groomed pretty well. the golf carts have gps in them and tell you how far away you are to the pin so you arent guessing or asking ur friends how far away you are. one of the better courses ive played at. i definitely want to go again.
