Just about everyone in San Diego has Cox to serve their communication purposes. My one gripe with this company is that the internet goes down a few hours after the servicemen have left your house even though it was fixed. I know it happens and computers are not 100%, but come on, lets at least try to send someone out to fix the problem within a day or so. I think the last time my internet died I had to wait about three weeks to even get someone out. However, when the servicemen do their magic, it's very thorough and they have always been really friendly people. And they are the first service people to not have shady looking employees come into your house. Reputable guys.

Ohh COX, you such a BIG and PROLIFIC provider of San Diego's communication needs. You just keep putting out and telling everyone your cheap and easy. Little does the population know that three months later there is a surpise. It can either go two ways from here.

One. You have gone and did it. Cox stuck it in and there is a plus sign. Your bill is now preggers and is inflating like a balloon.
Two. You have gone and did it. The service sucks so bad your feeling itchy in your nether regions.

But I will give you an extra star. Your internet is damn fast like you say.
I wish I could have most of my paycheck back for it. Beer and gas and hookers are expensive like you.

Let me start off with my "impeccable" set up service that I received: The guy came & walked all over the new concrete that I asked him not to for about an hour. He was doing this in between banging sh*t around on my roof only to tell me that I will have to have another person come back to get under the house. When the next guy came out he was done in 20 min. and told me my wires were not even on the roof-I refused to pay for the additional service since the "new guy" F-ed up. 2nd: I have a lap top computer = wireless router, right? WRONG! Not if you have Cox Cable. You will have to call at least once a month to have them re-set their cable box & then YOU have to re-set your router. I cannot believe how many times this happened to me. The only reason I stayed with them so long is because their DEAL WITH THE DEVIL to be the only TV network to be able to broadcast The Padres games. Unfortunately (for Cox) I could stand it no more & went with ATT UVERSE (check out the review for them, hint-its AHHHHMAZING). 3rd: When I went in to shut off my service, the kind teller wanted to know which provider I went with-told her its none of Cox's' business as I didn't want to be told what bad qualities she thought the other provider might have. (she didn't like that AT ALL-got all snooty). Now I am getting so many calls & mailers begging me to come back to them-NO WAY COX CABLE - NO WAY - BECAUSE YOU SUCK.
The reason they have one star: the deal with The Padres-but I just go to the bar to watch the games now... wow, that doesn't suck! Huh!?

I have a bad feeling about posting this from my computer, since Cox is my current ISP.

What's wrong with Cox?
1. They call me once a month to offer more services
2. When you accept these services, they don't work for unknown reasons and you are expected to pay the Cox repair team to get the problem fixed
3. Internet goes down about once a month, they blame your modem for it (especially if you don't have their modem).  So you buy a new modem and it still doesn't work.  However, the next day a Cox truck mysteriously is in your neighborhood and the internet mysteriously starts working again...but it is still your fault
4.  The joke of a call center talks you through the task of unplugging and plugging in the power to your device before they will connect you to a live person.  There is no way to skip this annoying process (that most of us already know how to do if we use the internet, especially if we have Cox).
5. The name of the business is Cox, who decided to name a business Cox???  There is something awkward about telling people "I have Cox".
6. I waited 2 hours for a repair once, I watched the truck DRIVE BY MY HOUSE, and then promptly called Cox a minute after my time window was up to ask where is the repair technician.  The technician told them I was not home, and when I asked to have the technician come back since I saw the truck drive by 5 minutes ago, I was told the technician was already gone for the day.  Sweet.

I would have given them one star, but I'm using their service right now to post this, so it's like a bonus star for doing one thing right.
