I am on the Cowboys Golf Club email list. Got the coupon for the August $99 special after 12pm. I have played there a handful of times in tournaments and once for twilight.

The good:The facilities are nice (clubhouse, dinning area, etc). Practice range is just ok. Not much in the way of short game area. (chipping, pitching). Practice putting green is decent. I like the layout of the course. Some good ups and downs and fairly challenging. The cart girls are friendly and the jalapeno dog at the turn is tasty.

I would not pay the normal $200 (with tax) rate for golf here w/ free food and non-alcoholic drinks. The greens were not very good this day. Very bumpy and sandy. I'd consider going back for $99 special if they improved the greens. Just go to Tribute for $125 or elsewhere. Not worth the price.

I think the golf course is overpriced, but at least it's convenient to the north Dallas area. Fine layout, conditions good, very challenging golf course, with decent service. Worth playing, especially if you can find a lower twilight rate during the week. Here's a link to the course's website:

Cowboys Golf Club is a good track, but way overpriced. I'm willing to spend $80 to $90 on a quality golf course, but $130 is just way too much "pride" for an otherwise above average golf establishment. I know they include breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or whatever, but come on, it's a not a resort and I'm definetely not sleeping in the club house. However, if you don't mind spending 40% more then you should be, the cource has some great holes with very dramatic green complexes. The course is always in good shape and the pace of play is right on point. Also, the course has an "out and back" layout and it's very enjoyable to have some refreshments at the turn. The course would get a 4 if it wasn't so overpriced - there's got to be some value!
