I prefer city dwelling, so my hope is that if you are reading this, you are passing by. My father retired to this God awful wasteland, so I visit on occasion. I usually DETEST anything cooked south of 79th St. in Chicago, (I used to believe the world was flat and ended at 111th St.) but The Cow Palace is quite an exception. Every steak, burger, burrito and side dish has been excellent. It is well staffed and service is always prompt. The Mexican food served is just that, not Tex-Mex shit.
My father is now lost at sea, presumed dead, but my stepmom still lives there. I'm sure my next trip won't be complete without a visit to The Cow Palace.
