This is a typical Courtyard that is centrally located in the San Fernando Valley, being close to the 101 and not far from the 405, and just a block from the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping mall.

It's on Ventura boulevard, and there are a lot of different eateries within a couple of miles of this location on this street in either direction. It is a 12 story building with a penthouse and two floors of parking at $15 day. The decor looks like it has been remodeled not too long ago, draped in warm fall colors of rich earth tones.

There is a restaurant  in house  like most Courtyards, but simple basics rather than anything special. They also have a few snacks behind the check in counter. There is very little room in front of the main entrance as far as parking to register, but they have a parking garage around the corner, which can access the interior floors and rooms with a room key.

The rooms are average size with a king size bed, good size desk, and fridge.

I stayed at this hotel July 2007 while traveling home from  Las Vegas via Los Angeles.  The stay and staff was fine, not notable.

The entire hotel is non smoking and clean.  Amenities I  needed / wanted were, free internet access and free parking. THIS HOTEL CHARGES FOR PARKING despite an ample parking lot.

The rooms are smaller and the ceiling lower than the counterpart in Burbank that I stayed in (Burbank) earlier this week.  The noise from other rooms was more apparent and the hotel overlooks the 101 Freeway so there is the hum of the freeway as well.

When I tried to check out using the fast checkout on the TV it stated it was unavailable and when I called the desk to check out, no one initially answered.  When they finally did I was told they don't offer that service but did check me out on the phone.

They did not have the option to save water and not have your sheets changed, I wish they would add this service.  I would not pick this hotel again given a choice, it was sufficient and clean but for the same price and only miles away the Burbank Courtyard is far superior.

Look for deals on the many travel sites as rooms are available at discount
