4.5- the people working the front desk rocked!!!
Stayed here for a wedding in downtown Wilmington. The rooms were nice and spacious, clean, and well kept. Parking was only $9 a day, with in and out privleges, and free parking on Friday nights. The workout facility was kinda old, and there was no pool, but that didn't matter to me.
As I said before, the front desk staff was super friendly, and very helpful when it came to locating things in and around the Wilmington area. The only time they let me down is when I asked for fresh baked cookies after my workout, and there were none. Other than that, a great stay!

Front desk, you kick ass! So, so nice and helpful.
We stumbled in at 1 AM, just looking for a place to stay for a few hours before getting up to see Barack Obama's whistle stop tour appearance in Wilmington. I wish we had arrived earlier. There was comped parking (Fri and Sat check-in's only) and for $119 we received a free upgrade to a kingsize room with a memoryfoam mattress, fridge and microwave in room, coffee maker and Starbucks coffee. The bathroom was very nice with marble counters and Kohler fixtures. When we woke up later that morning to face hours of standing in the 7 degree cold to see the President-elect, we were refreshed and really well rested. I look forward to going back. It was a great value and worth every penny, even for the abbbreviated stay.
I think on Travelocity of Expedia, this place gets only 2 stars which really isn't true. I would say 3.5 is more accurate. FYI - go past West Street to the hotel's parking garage...and West street is a one-way street so if you miss the garage (like me), don't attempt to go down West (like me) and into oncoming traffic (like me).
My room was pretty big - with an armchair, desk, dresser. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. The service was also excellent as I not only missed my 12:00 check-out, but also my 1:00 pm late check-out and was not charged.
If you have a wedding or event at The Hotel Dupont, this is less than 2 blocks away and a much cheaper alternative (of if you're like and didn't get her act together in time for the wedding block...)
